AURORA

The next morning, I woke up with the biggest smile on my face because it was my wedding day. I have been married twice, and it was not a love match but there was something to this one that I liked. The air was filled with the buzz of celebration. I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting the soft fabric of my dress, my heart pounding. Today was the day I would become Mrs. Grey. It felt surreal, almost like I was living someone else’s life. I never thought I was ever going to get married again.

When you get married to the alpha of your pack, you are set to know that you are only going to separate from him when death carries one of you. But I did the impossible and I am out of the clutches of that. I took a breath while I was trying to keep my veil in place. I heard a gentle knock, and Jada entered, her face lighting up when she saw me. “You look beautiful, Luna.”

I smiled, “Thank you, Jada. I can’t wait for the wedding to happen already.”

She tilted her head, giving me a knowing smile. “Me too. You will make an excellent bring beside our alpha.”

A few minutes later, I walked out to where Ethan was waiting. He looked stunning in his formal attire, his eyes warming as they met mine. The ceremony was filled with emotions and smiles, the faces of family and friends surrounding us as we exchanged our vows.

Ethan took my hands, as the officiant introduced the wedding. I felt chills pass down my veins when he held me, and the reminder of what happened yesterday came back to my head. I tried not to blush as his eyes bore into mine. Someone could swear that this was real.

“Aurora, today I promise to protect you, to respect you, and to stand by you as we build a life together.”

I was glad that he kept it simple as I repeated my own vows. When we finished, the officiant sealed our wedding and we kissed. It was simple and short, yet it knocked the air out of my lungs. I did not like this. I could not be swept away already by him barely weeks after we had met. After we were done, we went down the aisle and I tossed the flowers at women I barely knew. I guessed they were his relatives and friends. Since I did not have any. Not that even if I had they would come down to this wedding.

When we were down on the floor, Ethan gave me a warm smile and whispered, “Mrs. Grey.”

I laughed softly, linking my arm with his as we turned to face the crowd. Despite the strange feeling lingering from the night before, I felt a sense of peace settle over me. This was my life now, and somehow, it felt right. After the ceremony, Ethan led me around to meet the lords, elders, and other important members of the pack. They were warm and friendly. It was clear they now saw me as a true part of Blackwater, and for the first time, I felt fully accepted.

“Mrs. Grey, welcome,” one of the elders said with a respectful bow. “It’s an honor to see our Alpha with a strong woman by his side.”

“Thank you,” I replied, feeling a blush rise to my cheeks.

Ethan grinned beside me, a proud glint in his eye as he introduced me to each person. I found myself feeling grateful for his presence, for the way he made me feel like I belonged.

Once the gathering finally ended, I returned to my room, exhausted. I slipped out of my dress, letting the soft fabric pool at my feet as I reached for a comfortable nightgown. Just as I was about to climb into bed, the door opened, and I looked up, startled to see Ethan standing in the doorway.

He wore a slight smirk, his gaze steady as he closed the door behind him and walked toward me.

“Ethan,” I murmured, my heart picking up pace. “I didn’t know you were coming.”

He tilted his head, amusement flickering in his eyes. “We have unfinished business, remember?”

My cheeks flushed, and I felt a nervous laugh escape me. “About last night…”

“Yes,” he said, his voice low as he stepped closer. “About last night.”

I swallowed, unsure how to handle the intensity of his gaze. “Ethan, I’m sorry. About everything. Leaving to see Damian. I just felt like I needed closure.”

His expression darkened slightly at the mention of Damian, but he didn’t press further. “I understand that, Aurora,” he said, his voice rougher than usual. “But you should know you are mine now. Not his.”

At first, I thought he was joking, but when I looked up, the seriousness in his eyes sent a shiver through me. “Ethan…” I started, but he held my gaze, his hand moving to rest on my cheek.

“I mean it, Aurora,” he said softly, his voice holding a promise. “You’re my wife now. He is never going to come close to you.”

I felt my breath hitch as he leaned closer, his words echoing in my mind. “I know,” I whispered, my voice barely audible.

He didn’t break eye contact, his fingers brushing against my skin. “And we have a contract to fulfill,” he said, his lips curving into a slight smile. “We need an heir.”

My heart skipped, and despite my best intentions, I felt myself nodding. “Right…” I whispered. I already knew it was coming to this one day. I wanted to try artificial insemination but with how I was feeling this way, there was no need. I wanted him… just for the contract.

The air between us grew thick, my pulse racing as he leaned in, his lips brushing against mine. I hesitated for a split second, but as his hand moved to my waist, pulling me closer, I felt myself melt into the kiss. I closed my eyes as I felt his hands move to my waist, cupping my breasts into his hands. I moaned as he fondled my nipples through the fabric they turned hard and rigid under his touch.

Evert rational thought left my mind as he completely undressed me, slowly drawing his fingers into my sensitive areas. I stifled down a moan as I fell away from him. Of his warmth, his strength, the way his arms wrapped around me as if I belonged there, and his bulging hard cock that was pressing against his trousers.

Ethan leaned back as he watched me, his eyes grazing all over my body, “You are a fucking goddess.” He whispered.

He looked unreal with his eyes dilated to the point of complete darkness and lust. He looked like he could devour me with just a look. Ethan removed his clothes, releasing his cock out of his trousers. It was long and hard, bulging to the point where it just looked painful.

I swallowed as I felt the urge to touch him. To take him in my mouth and suck him dry until he was begging for me to stop. My hands found their way to his crotch, rubbing my hands against his length. I took his hard cock in my mouth, sucking and gagging on it, pulling him closer until my jaw locked. Ethan removed my head away from him and he brought me back to his body.

He opened my legs, licking and making love to every spot on my body. I almost came as he thrust his fingers in me, feeling how soaked I was for him. Ethan buried himself in me with an unexpected force, and I closed my eyes and he moved in me carefully at first. I did not know if he knew I was a virgin, but I was glad that he was taking it slow at first. Then his paces became stronger, each thrust almost kicking me off to the edge.

As I completely immersed myself in him, I tried to convince myself that it was just the effects of the alcohol. But I felt a taut connection to him. With every thrust, he was getting closer to me, making me his. When I came, it was like the whole world had been rebuilt and crashed down in a matter of seconds. It was groundbreaking and when he came with his gentle yet tortured gaps in my ear, I knew he felt the same.

For the first time, I let myself surrender to the feeling, to the connection that had been simmering between us since the beginning. And as he cleaned me up and laid next to me, giving me the aftercare I so much needed, I felt a sense of completeness, as if, for the first time, I was exactly where I was meant to be.

AURORAI went to sit down on my bed as I opened the letter. Damian’s handwriting scrawled across the page, his words unsettling:‘Aurora, I know you think I’m desperate, but this isn’t about me wanting you back. I am sorry about how I left things with us when you came. I wasn’t angry and hurt, even though it did not justify the way I acted. I know I cannot erase the past four years, but there is really something I need to tell you. It’s about something much more important than me wanting you back. You need to know the truth. Ethan isn’t who he says he is. I’ll explain everything if you give me a chance. Please, Aurora, for your own safety. You can come to meet me whenever it suits you.’I shook my head, letting out a small, frustrated laugh. For my safety? Damian was reaching, trying to twist things to make me doubt Ethan. I knew he wanted me back, not because he cared, but because he needed my help to reclaim his power in the pack. I knew his brothers, and that they were just waiting

AURORA I clutched my diamond emerald necklace on my neck as I felt pain in the lower part of my body. He was doing it again. Damian was cheating on me with his girlfriend Evelyn while I stood there trying to look pretty beside him for the ball. But that was even the least of my concerns, even though I had been married to him for four years and he never attempted to treat me right. I had just found out that my ungrateful and wicked husband had killed my mother. I was not sure of it. I looked at the necklace closely in the mirror. I have owned it for several years but it had never shown me something like this before. When I was getting ready and I was clasping it on my neck, I had a vision and saw Damian standing in front of my mother’s dead body. Could he have really been the one that killed her all those years ago? I could not sit here and continue thinking about it because I was not going to get any answers. I needed to go and ask him. I looked over at the divorce papers

AURORA Driving back to Blackwater, I gripped the steering wheel tightly, my mind spinning with anxiety. I knew I’d crossed a line. I had left on my own, slipped away without telling Ethan, and now I had to face him. I did not even want to think twice about what he was thinking at the moment. I did not know how many people he had invited today to witness the wedding, and he just thought that I stood him up. Did he regret deciding to marry me?My chest tightened at the thought of his reaction. He had every right to be angry. If the roles were reversed, I’d feel the same way. I would perhaps even have a worse reaction than he would ever think of having. When I arrived at the palace and stepped inside, I immediately spotted Ethan and Kiara in the sitting room, casually watching a movie. They looked relaxed, and at ease, and for a moment, I hesitated, feeling like an intruder. She was probably there with him when I left. She must have convinced him that she was right to be wary of me in
