CHAPTER 90

Tanya's POV

I cried all I wanted, but no one seemed to care. Nobody came to check on me for the next few hours, giving me enough breathing space. I couldn’t help but look at his body once in a while, feeling the guilt weighing on me. If I had given them the information they wanted, it wouldn’t have happened this way.

“It’s my fault,” I said to myself. “I should have told them. Now he’s dead because of me.”

I somehow expected something to happen, but after waiting for a long while, there was still nothing. The room would have been empty if not for his body in the corner. I was starting to get disgusted by it. It was not only disgusting me but haunting me. I needed it out of here if I would stay by myself.

“I can’t sleep with you staying here,” I said to him with a sad expression. I rushed up to the door and banged on it, trying to get it to open. “Hey, guys!” I called. “Come and take his body away!”

I did this for a couple of minutes until I got tired. I was also hungry now
