To say people were staring in shock was an understatement as everyone tried to swarm the limo as we drove into the parking lot. Warrick had to get out and guide the limo into several spots while asking the kids to make space. Luckily the school security noticed the commotion and came to help. As Miguel was telling me goodbye we heard an argument outside, Ericson quickly got out and interceded the teacher and principal that had run over.

“Sir you can’t park here unless you have business here! Please leave!” Mr. Rock commanded loudly as he waved and pointed his hands at poor Warrick.

“It would be better to address me Mr. Rock, as Warrick is an employee and just doing his job.” Ericson growled to get the principal’s attention. Though I was more shocked to see which teacher was with the principal. It was Mrs. Blanchard. I thought she hated morning duty and always found ways to avoid being available in the morning before school started.

“Then can you explain why you are here?” Mrs. Blancha

It took some doing and some crazy maneuvering, but we all got out even my dad, Davien. I’m still getting used to having him as dad, let alone having him help or even care about me or my friends. As soon as he was out, he was barking orders and people obeyed. Warrick and the driver were the fastest in carrying out his orders, while Peter ran to get the nurse. Chad just stood back and watched, until I grabbed his hand and squeezed it. Then he just collapsed onto me sobbing, looking to Larry I mouthed ‘What?’ but he was no help as he just gapped at us.“Chad, Chad listen to me. Steven will be ok. I’m ok and I was hit by a car.” I thought my words would help but instead he cried harder. At a loss for words, I just held him tight as he cried. I knew we were a sight given me short stature and his tall muscle build. Chad is on the wrestle team for the school but this year he also joined Steve’s football team at the local recreation center. Steve is really thick-headed unless you talk about f

---Ericson’s POV---The car ride back to the house was silent but not an uncomfortable one. We all just seemed to be lost in our thoughts, will Meri the most as she was probably thinking about her friend. One minute it was a carefree and light moment then it turned serious really fast. Mike the driver told me wat happened when I arrived with Mr. Rock. Though I really wanted to throttle that female teacher. Did she not have any common sense.“Ericson, can I ask you something?” Meri asked me, startling me from my thoughts.“Will you just did!” I joked with her, seeing her smile I added, “Meri, you can ask me anything and I will try to answer to the best of my abilities.”“Who was Pomona?” she asked me. I choked on the air as I saw my king looking at me. I knew this was going to happen, but in a moving vehicle where not only I can’t escape but I have to answer her with him listening.“Well, um...” I cleared my throat as I thought about how to explain this, but I didn’t have to.“Many cen

---Merida’s POV---And here I thought I asked a simple question. No, he just told me he was a mixed Alien human… *Wait he said Crustalia planet, not Crysthalle islands or even of earth. He was born in space. So…* I thought loudly not really thinking of everyone who could be listening in. I just wasn’t sure how to say it.“Meri all pure-blooded Crysthalian’s are in fact aliens of earth and cannot be actually aged in today’s standards.” Crispin says as he appears at the doorway to the living room.“Yeah, like that explains anything. Meri, they have been here since before written or even common language.” Sarah says as she sits on the couch next to Ericson, then as an afterthought she adds. “No ruling country or established culture was around when our king first stepped on Earth and friended the Natives of North America. Does that help.”“So, let’s say I understand and that I believe what you are saying, which is that my dad here,” I pause as I point to my dad and take a breath, “has bee

There were no words that I could say as I hugged Jenn. I’ve known her for as long as I can remember, and she was a rock for me until she left last year. Though what Ericson said had me questioning everything. *Is she someone from a previous life? Or can she be a child I had in a previous life? No, wait can she be my mom?**Hold up, hold up girl. Don’t go jumping there. I’m not sure who she is but we can trust her. That’s all I will say for now. I’ll look in to…* Nadia said then drifted away as she spoke to herself. Shaking my head, I smiled at her silliness.“Merry what are you doing?” Jenn asked me as she pushed me back and looked at me. “Your acting weird.”“So, you didn’t know ab…” Crispin started speaking but Sarah slammed her hand over his mouth. “Don’t listen to this lunkhead. ---Miguel’s POV---Mr. Rock gave us all 15 minutes to call our parents, as he worked on passes so we could be excused for being late for first period. Though I couldn’t care less about school as I was more worried about my family and Steve. He wasn’t the smartest guy, but he made Meri laugh and never judged her. In my book he was an ok guy, if not good looking. Meri and I always went to his games as much as we could and watched him run.He was a running back and really good. He always was where he needed to be for his quarterback or how to get around the opposing team, or even to block. Though it did help to get a touchdown, if his team assisted his run. But I have never thought of asking him out, given he really has made no inclinations that he is gay and plus I knew Chad had a crush on him.Anyone with eyes could see how protective Chad was of him on and of the field. In fact, Chad joining the team was one of the reasons they were winning this year, as Chad was a great tight end. On

---Sarah’s POV---I really felt for her, and the fact that so much was happening, and she didn’t know. I saw Theresa wave at Ericson, who exited the room only to come back and settle on the couch as he looked at the king. I could see them communicating and Crispin was listening in, sometimes it really sucks not to have a gift. Only I was distracted as Theresa and Warrick left. Something happened, as the king’s left hand only acts when someone dies or there is an act of unspoken violence. I really wanted to ask but I didn’t want to draw attention. For I was on edge about that nightmare demon in the room. I had learned about them when I was younger but was cautioned to never interact with them. Given their nature, they can’t help but want to drain a person of their fears after making them live them. And I, being a natural born vampire I don’t have many fears, but I am many people’s worst fear. So nightmare demon’s love using us to cause terror. Many vampiric children have gone missing a

---Merida’s POV---It felt really good to hear the truth after so long, but I also was ashamed of what happened. I remembered that day and how after we got back with the ice cream, I was told to get in the car and that I was grounded for two weeks. I had always wondered why but knew not to ask or else my punishment could be worse. But now I did know and was pissed just like Crispin. My former dad, no. That man! Mr. Cogswell had observed my friends and I undressing and hanging out for some unknow time frame. For Lucy, Jenn, Jenn’s third older sister Maria, and I were just being young girls and were goofing off. We weren’t in hurry to go downstairs and had been in there for up to an hour. Then again, I was meant to spend the night and had been debating on going back downstairs as I didn’t want to see Daniella. We had argued early in the day when I told her she couldn’t stay just because she wanted to. I had been invited because it was Lucille’s 15 birthday weekend, Jenn’s second older s

---Crispin’s POV---I didn’t mean to scare her when I growled but RJ was being reckless with my sister and my liege. But I have to admit it was funny to watch Eric get swallowed up by the couch, as well as watch Sarah try to free him. Only to have RJ yank him off the couch and end up falling onto the coffee table and destroy it. Then all humor was gone, though I was happy to see the king holding Meri and behind the couch they had been sitting on but looking done I just couldn’t keep a smile on. Walking out with everyone, I held the chair for Meri and talked with the king before turning to find RJ sitting next to her.“Oh, knuckle head lose the scowl, we all want to sit next to her.” Sarah reprimanded me as she sat next to RJ. I just couldn’t believe her.So, I sat across from Meri only to jump when that girl, Jenn sat next to

Swallowing down the saliva that suddenly spawned in my mouth, I cleared my throat before explaining myself, “I have been practicing how to put up a block for the past month, but the nightmares have been going on for the past year or so…” “Ever since I left!” Jenn added as she moved to the sit next to me. Grabbing my hand, she squeezed it. I can see she wants to apologize, but it’s not her fault and plus I needed to learn how to deal with them. Mi sits back down but across from me and reaches across the table to add his hand to ours. His touch gives me strength so I can continue talking. “Jenn, I don’t remember what it was like before you came into my life, but I don’t wake up in a fit or screaming or crying. I just slept through them and woke up the next day wondering about them. I know they aren’t all the same, but they really don’t scare me. ---Merida’s POV--- Sitting there I just watched as Mi bounced his head on the table, I just worked on Jenn’s words. It was more than I thought. I had learned that shifters tend to run in packs as a way to strengthen themselves and protect their loved ones. Though if a trouble shifter causes issues in the pack, then they are kicked out and left to wander alone. Thus, making them rogues and any person that follows them. So, a promise of a new pack, where they are forgiven is too much to turn down, even a condition like causing panic in another. But then again would they go so far as to kill shifters just to join a new pack that hasn’t been established. *Wait has the pack even been formed?* “Jenn where is this pack set to be established?” I asked, causing everyone to halt in their movement and stare at me. “I’m sorry but no new pack has been recognized in this area and with my dad here. Won’t the leader or alpha have to approach my dad to b

I can’t explain but Meri does understand everything she learns but she still questions as if the knowledge she has is different than what she learned. Not that she remembers what she knows. But I am happy that I can openly help Meri now and not sneak behind everyone’s back. As Mr. Bell didn’t want to overwhelm her and thought one on one would be good for her. As well as judge what abilities she had and see about getting them under control. I wasn’t sure if any had surfaced but then again Nadia was present in her head. I don’t want her to lose all connections to our parents like I have. “Anneliesa I’m ok! Remember your sister is strong.” I smiled at her as she looked to me. “Now dry those tears and say hello to our guest.” I say as I waved at my dream angel and introduced myself. “I’m Nixie Klein and this is Anneliesa Klein. Sorry about all this but welcome to our adobe.” I said, getting to my feet and looking around. Stepping back as I took in the disarray, I was astonished to see the magistrate, my uncle as well as Mr. Boem and his son being restrained. Plus, I have many questions about the Armed Guard as well.” “Well technically yes you are neither but don’t forget that Armed Ladies can be appointed if a lady has proven to be exceptional. Then again given your inexperience in our world and that it has yet to be proven your standing, it is not unheard for Armed Ladies to be appointed to you. Though they are Armed Ladies of established Ladies, not first timers.” Jen answers as she perches on the last sofa. “And I would love to be appointed but we need a Council Elder to sign off and not just the Kings.” “If I can become an Armed Lady and I can stay

He told me how bored he was just walking the perimeter and that his partner Greg was too strict. “Sorry dad but Leo looked so fluffy and cute. Please he was pleading for a belly rub!” I said as I looked at my dad. He just smiled at me and patted my back. “OK sweetie I understand but let’s not pet Leo while he is working. I can ask Greg to stop by after his shift and give you time with Leo away from the others. But please don’t do that or show that you understand our War cats or others might see it as a weakness.” my dad says as he pulls me in for a hug. “Can you explain what a War cat is? ---Sarah’s POV--- It’s been a month since Crispin acted like a fool and tried to attack Meri with kisses or something. Though from what Meri had explained before lunch and how the king responded to my intel told me that it was Meri’s doing or power. I tried to talk with Meri over the next few weeks but once her teacher caught wind of it, he shut it down. I had no problem with it, but I did wish Mr. Bell would look in to it. Though I think the king was the one to shut it down. As I thought of the talk we had weeks back. ~ (^_^) ~ Two weeks ago ~ (^_^) ~ “Sarah, can we talk?” Mr. Bell asked me after his session with Meri. Looking up I came face to face with an angry Ma. “Zan, you have proven a capable worker and a good cook, but how can you ask this?” she demands as she settles in the closet booth. “I agreed to last night but now this!
