Chapter 62: Terrible son and daughter

Charlotte’s pov

When we got back to the pack mansion everyone was happy and celebrating.

“What’s this?” I asked Logan who smiled a little.

“When the Alpha King wins the challenge then a celebration is held. A feast to celebrate the fact that things like war will be avoided” he said, and I nodded.

Wouldn’t it be easier to get rid of this rule?

I mean if the Alpha King cant be challenged then they wouldn’t be any chances of war.

I mean they still would be other issues, but this wouldn’t be one of them.

“Come on, even the small victories deserve to be celebrated” Logan said as he took a glass of champaign and gave it to me.

I don’t remember letting lose, I don’t remember the last time I slept without any worry.

I took a sip, “you ready for this party?” Alexa asked dancing around the room.

Justice was standing in a corner all alone looking somewhat glum.

“What is wrong brother?

Shouldn’t you be happy that our father won and made it out alive?” Logan asked him and he looked at both of us.

“Our father was hiding his power from us, aren’t you angry about this? Why was he hiding all that power?” Justice asked.

I scoffed at this, the brothers both looked at me and I didn’t care.

“You were an asshole to your father, you called him weak and undermined him in front of us. Instead of standing here looking like someone who stuck his head so far up his ass he cant get it out. Apologise to your father from being a dickhead” I said, and Logan smiled at this.

“What did you just say to me human?” Justice asked and I just shrugged.

“With your heightened hearing I am sure you heard me as clear as day. Apologise for your little show of power” I said.

I smiled when I saw him frown even more and getting even more angry.

“Or are you embarrassed?

You took out your little fangs and tried to intimidate your father only to find out that you are absolutely nothing” I said.

Honestly, I hated what he did to his father, that man has been through a lot.

As someone whose father went above and beyond for them I couldn’t tolerate to watch what he did.

He honestly pissed me off that I don’t even know how to describe the anger I feel.

“You see the difference between strong people like your father and weak people like you,

is that they don’t need validation.

You show off the little power you have because lets be honest, you have nothing else to offer” I said with a smile and walked off.

“You let your mate talk to me like that? I will kill her; I will strangle her” I heard him say to Logan.

“She isn’t wrong brother, I guess the truth is bitter huh.

And try to even harm a hair on her head, then I will also show you my power brother” Logan said and followed behind me.

He put his hand on my shoulder and gave me the hugest smile I have seen.

It reached his eyes;

I don’t think I have ever seen him this happy before it actually made me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Now looking at him I never really realized how handsome he is.

The brown hair and slightly dark grey eyes gave him a really different aura to him. He has that ‘boy next door’ vibe to him.

The warm kind that makes you feel content and at ease.

You know, the kind of love that feels easy, simple, and also really comfortable.

“You were amazing just a few moments ago. I stopped myself from laughing at him because it would piss him even more” he said and then smiled at me.

“He pissed me off, I didn’t like him doing that to your father” I said, and he nodded.

“I didn’t like it either, or I think I have let him get away with a lot of things” he said with a sad smile.

“Don’t let that ruin your mood, lets celebrate the small victories today. Your brother learned a thig or two today” I said, and he nodded.

“I can’t believe it; the Alpha King was really amazing.

I just feel sad for Sasha and Dean, they have to say goodbye to their father” Clara said.

“Worried about Sasha? The one who bullies you every chance she gets?” Alexa asked with a frown.

“She is still going through something really terrible. I am not her, so I am worried about her” Clara answered. “He got what he deserved.

He knew the consequences when he made that decision” Justice said looking at Clara.

The way he was looking at her with so much hate in his eyes.

Why would he hate her this much?

He seems to hate her more than he does me.

I bet he hates me because he thinks I am human, is it the same reason he hates Clara?

Because she is a werewolf without a wolf?

Or is there more to this story?

Well, those are questions that will be answered in another time.

Today we celebrate, they started playing the music and everyone was just dancing around.

We started drinking and they were playing even more games.

I got tired and decided to go outside and get some air, “don’t be like that, would you rather I was the one who was banished?” I heard a female voice.

“Why did you do that really? why would you do that to Dylan? You made me fight my best friend” I heard a male voice say.

“Ohhh father don’t be too emotional about it.

I had my reasons okay, I told you what I did.

I don’t understand how he managed to bounce back” the female voice said.

I haven’t lived here long enough but I know Sasha’s voice and also her father’s voice.

“What did you do?” he asked her and there was silence for some time.

“I had a witch give him some portion, she guaranteed me that it would weaken him.

I don’t understand, she came to me with this proposal then why one earth didn’t it work?” she asked.

It was obvious that she was asking herself more than him.

“And now because of you, I lost everything. Don’t you feel any remorse?” her father asked her.

He had no much pain in his voice as he said so, so he didn’t want to do this.

She forced him but why?

Why did she force her own father to do such a thing?

“What should I feel remorse about. I will be the Queen Luna very soon and then you will get everything you lost” she said.

Hell, the way she is talking it feels like she is the female version of Justice.

They don’t even have any respect towards their own parents.

And why is she so sure that she will the Queen Luna soon?

Is that why she plotted all of this?

To be the Queen Luna some day?

But how was she going to achieve that?

“Queen Luna?

Will you stop daydreaming Sasha?

Logan doesn’t want you and he has a mate.

What other terrible things will you do for your own desires?” he asked her, and she scoffed.

“He isn’t the only Alpha Prince now is he?

It’s just that Logan is who I want, not the person I need.

Now leave quietly, unless you want to tell everyone the truth and get me banished along with you” she said.

“I don’t know what I did wrong in life to deserve a daughter like you” her father said and simply walked away.

She really is a terrible daughter, those two really do deserve each other.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they suddenly got engaged.

Sasha didn’t even care about her father at all, how could she do something like that to him?

That man was born and raised in this pack, it’s the only home he has ever known and now he is known as a traitor.

Not only that but who was that witch she spoke about?

The witch approached her and proposed that she do this.

Why would a witch target the Alpha King?

And when you think about it this incident could have hurt a lot of people.

So, who was the exact person that this witch was targeting?

And why?

Why do I get the feeling that somehow I am connected to all of this?

Maybe I am being paranoid, I mean it started before I even came here so how could I be the target.

Is it because I am so used to being the target all the time.

Will I be okay?

Will everyone here be okay if I leave?

But had we not come here then they would have been far from okay.

Who is pulling the strings to all of this, is this the same witch that my little brother spoke of?
