A mole, who could it be?

Could it be Mark?

He has been with me for years and is the reason I managed to find Scarlet.

Could he have possibly betrayed me or Is there more to this.

Hell, I am getting even more confused by the day.

Who the hell is a mole in this place?

My little sister didn’t really like Scarlet that much, but she wouldn’t betray me right?

“Hello brother, what brings you back? Should you be out there chasing your reincarnate girlfriend?” Eliza asked me.

“I thought you would be gone by now; you saw them and usually you don’t stay long after seeing them” I said, and she shrugged as she sat down.

“Yes, I know but for some reason I cant seem to leave now. What If you need me, if you find your girlfriend chances are war will break out because of her” she said and then rolled her eyes at this.

“You never really liked her so why would you stay?” I asked her and she shrugged.

“You are my brother; you are the only family I have left now” she said and then looked at the portrait of Scarlet on the wall.

“It’s not that I hate her, I hate that trouble always seems to follow her everywhere she goes” she said and then sighed.

“Would you betray me Eliza? Would you ever hurt Scarlet?” I asked her and she looked at me surprised and confused.

“What? Brother hell no, you know that I would never do that to you. After all I have done to support you, you now doubt me?” she asked.

I looked at her, I know my little sister and I have known her for more than 900 years.

When she is hiding something I can tell, and she always seems to be hiding something when it comes to Scarlet but what?

What is it that she feels so guilty about when it comes to Scarlet?

I know how my little sister looks when she feels guilty.

What did she do?

Whatever she did was something so big but what?

Does it have to do with Scarlet or is my imagination running wild again?

“I don’t doubt you; I just need to be sure that we are still on the same page” I said, and she nodded.

“We are on the same page, brother its you and me. just like it was years ago when I helped you with our parents and brother” she said, and I nodded.

“Thank you for that, I know how hard it was for you betraying our parents and brother” I said, and she nodded.

She got up and was about to walk away.

“brother it wasn’t betraying them, I did all that so we can be free. As long as they roamed this world you and I would have never been free” she said and then walked away.

Eliza has the power and the ability to deceive people the same she did with our parents.

Is it possible that now she is deceiving me?

Hell, why did that seer tell me this?

Now I am suspicious of everyone around me.

And it could be anyone, it could be my sister, my best friend, my trusted assistant, or the members of the vampire council.

I have also known them for centuries as well that defiance from them would feel like betrayal.

A few minutes later there was a knock on the door and Rose stood there with a smile.

“Do you know how many times I came looking for you? Where were you?” she asked me, and I rolled my eyes at this.

“I told you, I am not interested in you at all. You and I share no relationship, so I prefer it you stop acting like we do. It makes me uncomfortable” I said, and she rolled my eyes.

“You and I have forever to live.

Forever is a long time, I have waited this long already.

I don’t mind waiting for another millennia until you forget that witch” she said and then looked around the room.

Her eyes landed on the portrait, how is it that you could hate someone you have never met?

Rose’s hatred towards Scarlet is something she cant even hide.

You see it in her eyes, the hatred and jealousy as if she would do anything to get her out of the way.

Now that I think about it she is obsessed with me.

She had been so for centuries which means she could be the mole.

She could be working with someone from the outside so she can get rid of her number one problem.

In doing so then she might one day win my love, I really will kill her if she is.

Whoever it is that has been keeping me away from my love with die for sure.

“My father wanted to know when will you pay him a visit?” she asked me.

“Well, I have been busy, I will make sure to visit him the earliest. I am around for some time while I figure some few things out, tell him I will set a date very soon” I said as I went back to my work.

She didn’t say anything for some time.

“Why are you still looking for her?

Cant you just love me instead?

I promise I will be good to you;

I will listen to every word you say. So, love me, choose me” she said, and I looked at her.

I honestly feel sorry for her at times, especially when she becomes sincere like this.

I for one know how painful it is to long for someone, to love someone who is just out or reach.

Every time you feel like you will reach them but the closer you get the further they get.

“I am sorry Rose; I can’t control who I love. Its Scarlet, it’s always going to be Scarlet” I said and then went back to my documents.

“Scarlet this, Scarlet that. You two are not meant to be together which is why a curse is standing between the two of you” she said and then got up.

“She has been reincarnated again;

do you really believe that this time you will be able to be with her?

You think this time things will be different?

You will just watch as history repeats itself” she said.

“Just like you have I guess, I have turned you down, but you keep coming back. I have chosen Scarlet more times than I can count but you still come back hoping this time will be different” I said and closed the file.

“Before you tell me to learn from history you should learn first.

Rose you know why you are even still alive at this second.

I would have ripped your heart out a long time ago, now don’t tempt me and get out” I said, and she looked at me with tears in her eyes.

“I will find her before you do, and I will kill her. It doesn’t matter if you hate me for it, but she cant have you. She doesn’t deserve you, only I do” she said and walked off.

“Wow she is still as crazy as ever I see” Chris said coming inside my office.

“You are always so harsh with her, but she always comes back around like a boomerang” he said laughing as he sat down.

“She is a spoilt brat who wants what she can’t have” I said and then sat back down.

“You my friend are the most dedicated lover I have ever met, Rose is hot. I would jump to the opportunity to sleep with her” he said and then laughed.

“Reminds me of a werewolf I slept with back at that pack. I believe her name was Sasha, really ambitious and troublesome if you ask me” he said.

That’s the pack that Charlotte is in, will this Sasha be a problem to Charlotte and Alexa?

I do know that they got there safely but I still wonder If they are okay.

“What makes you think that she will be troublesome?” I asked him and he just shrugged.

“She told me that she is going to be the pack leader no matter what.

Something about the mate bond not having a place in her life, that one would do anything for power.

Such women can be really scary” he said, and he is right.

People like that can really be scary, people that would do anything for power aren’t good people.

I chatted with Chris and tried to see if could be the mole but as always he is clean.

He is too busy sleeping around to even care about such things.

Then who could be the mole?

And what the hell are they planning?

Why betray me?

Hell, you know what I don’t care who it is.

I don’t care if the gods or some deity above.

Whoever tries to keep me away from the love of my life will burn, they will feel my wrath.

I don’t care if they are foe or friend, Scarlet is not someone they should be messing with because it’s the last thing they will ever do.
