Book 3: Chapter 38-Hide

Suddenly, the surroundings became quiet when she was left in the living room with Axel alone. She bit the inside of her lip as she gently applied the medicated cotton to the young man’s wound.

“I’m sorry…”

She cried as she met the young man’s expressive gaze.

“I’m the one who should apologize to you. Please, do not think that my love for you is fake.”

Axel sighed and patted the girl’s palm. “No, it’s my fault that everything led to this. I didn’t give you the right time, so you got involved in trouble at the university which I owned.”

“You’re not mad at me?” she asked the young man like a child, referring to his discovery of her true identity.

“When did I get angry with you?” he asked the girl back.

Arriana was left speechless, and thought for a moment. The young man was grumpy even when they first met in the province. But he never got angry with her behavior. That’s why she persevered to make him fall in love with her, and he knew he was the only man who could bend her knees.
