Chapter Thirty Four

Samantha

He clenched his fists and paced back and forth inside the cell. He ran his hand through his hair and muttered, through gritted teeth, “You make me angry every time, darling,” My eyes were fueled with anger and I heard him take a deep breath to steady himself.

He turned back and glanced at me. He instructed, “Make sure you eat before it gets cold,” I felt like disappearing. I don't want to stay here anymore. Why is Adrian taking too much time? I need him to get me out of this damn place.

He took a last glance at me and I watched him as he left the cell. The heavy steel door clanged shut and I heaved a heavy sigh. My gaze followed him until he disappeared from sight.

I turned my attention to the tray of food left behind. My stomach rumbled loudly and I quickly drew the tray closer. The aroma of the food wafts me up and I pick a fork and begin to eat.
