Chapter Thirty Three

Samantha

My heart sank as I watched James left the cell. I watched helplessly as the heavy door slammed shut behind him. I sank amti the cold, stone floor, and I sobbed sadly.

The two bodyguards stood by the door and I knew I was completely trapped in this grim prison with no hope of escape. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I hugged my knees to my chest.

After some minutes of crying, my sobs gradually stopped and I realized I had never felt so utterly alone and powerless like this in my entire life. I sniffed and cleaned my teary eyes because I saw the guards were beginning to make jest of me and I won't show them my weakness.

I rested my head on the wall and noticed something on the wall. I reached out and touched the cold, damp walls of the cell with my trembling hands. I felt a surge of happiness in me and I knew there was finally a way out for me.

I had been foolish to think that I could not escape from James's clutches. I actually thought I couldn't gain freedom from here. Well,
