" Everyone. Get back. Towards the back of the room." I yelled. And I helped move the children to the back of the room and I stayed at the front while I could see the door moving with every thud that was being made. Like something was throwing it's entire body towards the shelter. The door was actually starting to move. It was moving under the heavy weight of whatever was on the outside.

I stood at the front of everyone trying so hard not to panic but everyone else was panicking. I knew that I had to stay strong for them.

" Ivy. Get back." Spencer yelled as I took a step forward.

" What the hell is that thing?" Another women yelled.

" A beast." I answered. But none of us knew what beast it could possibly be. It was large. I knew that much. It was vicious. I heard growling on the other side. The thudding stopped for a brief moment while I knew that warriors were trying to contain the beast.

One women started crying hysterically in the shelter and she fell to the ground. I ran

IVY POV I didn't know how we got here. Jeremiah kept a blindfold on my face the whole time while we were coming here. We'd been travelling for hours and when the blindfold was finally removed I was standing in the middle of a grand mansion. It was a lot more than I expected for a hide out. And of course, Jackson made a magnificant entrance coming down the staircase. " Well, you will never believe my surprise when Jeremiah called me to tell me that you were still alive. Those bastards only had one job. To set up the bomb and make sure that you died in the bomb. But they couldn't even get that right." Jackson says. " Well, you have to admit. Not all of your members are exactly the sharpest tools in the shed." I say rolling my eyes. " Is that any way to talk to your former Alpha?" He asked. " Don't you mean father?" I asked. And I heard his pack gasp and whisper. " Father, what is she talking about?" His son Levi asked looking confused. " Oh. He never told you. He was the one

ASHER POV" When are we leaving?" Beau asked. " Just take it easy. We have to be smart about this." I say. " What the hell is wrong with you? We have their trail. We need to keep following it before we lose it. Do you want to lose Ivy?" Beau yelled at me. " She is my f**king mate. Of course not. I would never want to lose her. What the hell is your problem?" I yelled at him. " You're sitting here doing nothing." Beau yelled. " I am waiting for Carter to come back. He's gone to see his people. I think he's bringing them back with him. They are helping and we are all going after Jackson together. " How many men does he have?" Cole asked. " I don't know. That's what I have to wait and see. If he has enough men to scare Jackson and actually make a difference against his pack then we will go after them. Otherwise, we need to recruit." I say sitting on the couch in the living room. Spencer was sitting next to Cole and he put his arm around her while she quietly sobbed to herself. "

IVY POV Adter a week of being here I had checked every square inch of my bedroom and the bathroom attached but I couldn't find anything to help in my escape. Adam bought my meal in to me like he did every day. Only once a day. And I still tested and smelt the food before I tasted it. " So, how big has Jackson's army gotten?" I asked very casually. " How dumb do you think I am? There is a camera right there and they are listening to everything we are talking about. Why would I tell you anything?" He asked. " I don't know. I guess I was just hoping you're as dumb as you look." I say. " You're not much of a people person, are you?" He asked. " I love people. My friends and family. But you and this pack. Nope." I say. " Well, you better get used to it. Because you're going to be here for a while." He say. " Oh. So, he's not planning on killing me any time soon. Good to know." I say. And he looked at me weird. Like he was trying to figure out how he just gave that away. "

  • THE ALPHA'S PROTECTIVE BROTHERS   CHAPTER 41

IVY POV It's been two days since i saw Freya and now was the moment of truth. I was actually taken out of my room for the first time since I've been here and I was led to a room that was set up like a hospital operating room. Jackson was there of course but I was as nervous as anything. I didn't know if this was going to work. I didn't know if I could do this. I was internally struggling with myself. I wanted to heal Freya. She was my half sister and I didn't have anything against her. She was just a child. But if I saved her I was afraid that she would grow up to be just like Jackson. That was something that I wouldn't be able to live with. Levi was left in charge of the pack while Jackson was in the room with me and I saw Freya lying on the bed looking at me. I approached the bed and I smiled down at her. But she could tell that it was a really nervous smile. So she asked me to come closer. And I leaned down to her so she could whisper something to me. " Just give them the

IVY POV " Come on Freya. We need to get the hell out of here." I say grabbing her hand and we walked to the door and I turned the handle and peeked out into the hall. There was no one to be seen, so we walked into the hallway and I knew that we were still on the second floor. I could smell smoke. And a lot of it. So I went to the side window and I could see fires in the woods that I know Asher set as a distraction to get through the boarder and I smiled at that. But then I looked down and I saw Asher leading his pack of thousands onto the field around the house and they were met with just as many warriors and they all collided with a massive thud and a lot of snarling and fighting. Freya gripped my hand tighter at the noise. She was scared so I turned away from the window and we started walking down the hallway again, being really careful about being quiet. When we came to the staircase I poked my head around first and I didn't see anyone there so we slowly walked down the stai

IVY POV The battle was over. The dead needed to be claimed as ours or there's. And it was announced that I killed the Alpha. Which meant that I was the new leader of Jackson's pack. I felt the power of an Alpha surge through me as I gained control of his pack. Because I was unmarked, I was the Alpha, but once Asher marked me, he would be the Alpha and I would be the Luna. But Asher's pack had destroyed a quarter of the country. Killed thousands of innocent people. And it was broadcast on live TV. But so was this battle. Asher had someone hack into Jackson's security system around the mansion and everything was caught on camera. Including me killing Jackson, and the fighting stop with his pack bowing to me. Carter was also there collecting his members that died during battle. And this was the first time I got the proper amount of numbers. Carter came into this battle with 4600 warriors, Asher had 7500 and Jackson had gained and forced 12 000 warriors. It was a battle field for sur

  • THE ALPHA'S PROTECTIVE BROTHERS   CHAPTER 44

IVY POV Arriving back on our territory I felt a huge weight being lifted off of my shoulders. I was finally home and it felt like I had been gone for so much longer than just two weeks. But I was finally home. Walking through the woods as my wolf with Asher right by my side, I decided to take it slow heading towards the packhouse and let it all sink in before I was bombarded with everyone waiting for me. Asher rubbed his nuzzle against my neck getting my attention. ' You know, we don't have to go right to the packhouse.' Asher says through the link. ' What do you mean?' I asked. ' We can send the warriors ahead and see how much of this forest we can destroy before getting back?' He asked. ' Typical man. Always thinking with your dick.' I say. ' Of course.' He admitted. ' We have the rest of our lives. I want to get back before Freya arrives. Otherwise she'll be terrified.' I say. ' Alright. But don't plan on getting much sleep tonight.' He chuckles. ' Hey. I was g

" Well, it turns out that white wolves have more powers that we thought. At least, this white wolf does." I say slowly. " What kind of healing powers?" Asher asked. And I looked at him and a claw mark that was slowly healing down the side of his face and neck. So I placed my hand over it and I closed my eyes and I concentrated on what I was doing. I heard gasps as a bright light came from my hand and I ran it along the wound and it disappeared straight away. " Oh my god." Spencer says shocked. And Asher picked up his metal cutlery to look at his face and see that the wound was gone. " You just healed that." Asher said in disbeleif. " I did." I say. " She took my cancer away." Freya spoke up and they all stared at me and someone dropped their cutlery. " Don't ask me how I did that. I just did. I concentrated on what I needed to. I actually saw the cancer attacking her bones and I healed her the first time I tried. Jackson didn't know that. He thought that I was examining t

I ran to Noah to make sure that he was still alive, and I let out a huge sigh of relief when I saw that he was still breathing. He was bleeding and he was injured, but he was alive. " I knew that was the only way to get you alone." Nick says from the door behind me. I turned around slowly and stood up. I was looking for a way out, but I couldn't get out. Not with Noah. I couldn't carry him. He was too big and heavy for me to carry. I was trapped. I wasn't leaving him here alone. " What did you do with Asher?" I asked. " You don't need to worry about him anymore. No one does." Nick smirked at me. " No." I screamed. " Well, you bought them here. You knew what I was. All this blood is on your hands." He says. " Why the hell would I ever want to have anything to do with you? Asher and Ivy are the only ones in this world that have never treated me like shit or tried to use me for my powers. I know that you were going to." I yelled as tears were falling down my face. " Are yo

  • THE ALPHA'S PROTECTIVE BROTHERS   CHAPTER TWELVE

It only took about half an hour to run to the house while in wolf form because we cut through the woods and we were really fast. It was fun running in wolf form though. I loved it. But when the house came into sight I got a sinking feeling in my stomach. The house was huge. Almost like a mansion but luckily it had a huge yard, because there were other houses next to it. We didn't want civilians getting hurt. And no one said anything about evacuating civilians. So Asher wasn't going to tell the neighbours what was going on. I guess he didn't want to tip Nick off as to what was happening. I looked up at the house and all the windows were blacked out and the sun was just starting to appear but it was still dark. So I shifted back and I quickly got dressed. Noah shifted back for a moment and he grabbed my hand and pulled me to him to kiss me. " I love you." He says. " I love you too. I'll see you soon." I say. And I started walking to the house. As soon as I got to the front doo

  • THE ALPHA'S PROTECTIVE BROTHERS   CHAPTER ELEVEN

My life was compeltely different from what I knew it as. My days were spent with Ivy training with my powers and training how to fight. She was an awesome teacher and I'm glad that I got her instead of the warriors. She was tough on me but she wasn't insanely tough like the other instructors were on the trainees. Noah and I weren't seeing too much of each other. He was going to school and then working after school but we still managed to have dinner together at night and we tried to watch a movie or something to have a bit of time together. Ivy told me that was important. To make sure that we spent as much time together as possible. I guess she knows that from experience. I've heard all the stories of her being kidnapped and going missing and even Asher. They were horrific stories to me and I couldn't do that to Noah. I wanted to make sure that I spent as much time together with him as possible. I knew that they were already making plan to attack Nick's hideout but they were wa

  • THE ALPHA'S PROTECTIVE BROTHERS   CHAPTER TEN

As soon as we got the news that we knew where Nick was staying then Ivy was right on top of me about getting control of my powers. We needed me to learn how to control my powers so I don't hurt the people around me and I only hurt the people I intend on hurting. So she took me to the training grounds that she reserved just for us and we sat on the ground and crossed our legs. " Now, with powers like this meditation is the key to being able to control what you are going to do." Ivy says. " I've never really been one to meditate." I say. " It's concentration. You need to concentrate on what you are doing. Meditation is the key to doing that. You need to learn." Ivy says. " Alright. I'll try." I say. I've always had trouble meditating because there's always too much crap going on inside my head. I know that I need to give it a chance, but I can never calm my mind down long enough for it to actually work. I closed my eyes while sitting on the ground and I took a couple of deep

Every morning Ivy was working me like a dog at training and Noah and I had also started going to school in the pack. We were meeting new kids from the area and it was good to have kids that we at least had something in common with. Noah made friends easier than I did, but at least he never left me alone or anything like that. His friends became my friends and I didn't really mind that. I always seemed to get along better with guys then with girls. And I could tell that a lot of girls were starting to hate me for it. But I didn't really care. It wasn't my fault that I wasn't a girly girl. I was actually surprised that she-wolves were like that. They cared too much about clothes and make up and all the same stuff that regular girls cared about. But that stuff never interested me. And I think it put them off a little bit. But I knew that as long as I had Noah then I would be alright. He had been my lifeline for so long and I guess that wasn't going to change now that we're in this pa

  • THE ALPHA'S PROTECTIVE BROTHERS   CHAPTER EIGHT

The whole walk back to the packhouse was quiet. No one talked but I was fully aware of how close Ivy and Asher were behind me. They were angry with me. I knew that they were angry with me. I should have told them the truth from the start but I didn't think I had any choice. I had to keep it to myself. Noah was in danger. When we got to the packhouse I noticed that the living room light was on and when I walked inside Noah ran over to me and hugged me. " What the fuck do you think you were doing?" Noah snapped at me while still hugging me. I could actually feel how angry he was. And he was letting me know. That was a lot better than Ivy and Asher. They weren't yelling or screaming or punishing me. They were just quiet. It was really nerve wracking. I knew that they would never trust me again. They didn't have a reason to. I kept a huge secret from them and they needed to know the truth about vampires coming back to their territory. But I thought I would be leaving with them and

  • THE ALPHA'S PROTECTIVE BROTHERS   CHAPTER SEVEN

That night I didn't get very much sleep at all. I was tossing and turning all night until I finally got up and I went downstairs to the kitchen to get a drink. That's where I bumped into Ivy. She was down there giving the baby a bottle. " I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt." I say. " What are you talking about? It's the middle of the night. I welcome the intrusion at this time of night." She says. And I chuckle. " I just came to get a drink. I can't sleep." I say getting a bottle of water out of the fridge and I sat at the kitchen island next to her. " I can imagine. Tonight was pretty massive for you, wasn't it?" She asked. " Yeah. It was." I say. " I know that things haven't been easy for you. I get that. I know exactly how that is. I grew up knowing my father but I didn't actually know that he was my father. He was the Alpha of my old pack and he raped my mother when she was 14. She got pregnant with me and she was shunned by the whole pack. He ordered the pack to ha

It was clear that we weren't starting school today because school was cancelled. Too many people were concerned about the safety of their children. Apparently this pack has met day walking vampires and didn't want to risk it in case any might be on the land. So we just sat around the packhouse and I was lost in thought for most of the morning while we were sitting in the living room and I saw the kids running around everywhere. All of the kids. Quinn and Patrick included. They really did look like they had ADHD but they were just werewolf kids when Ivy came into the room and their kids ran over and jumped on Ivy. " Regan. The meeting is happening tonight. He insisted that you be there. But there will be a lot of protection so they won't be able to try anything while you're here." Ivy explained. " Where will the meeting take place?" Noah asked. " At the boarder." Ivy replied. " Outside? Really?" I asked nervously. " Trust me. You'll be alright. We will have warriors surro

When we landed at the airport we had to get into more cars that were waiting for us but it was just a short drive to the Blue Moon Pack. I heard that's what they called themselves. " Oh my god. I knew that you owned a large pack, But I never imagined it would be anything like this." Noah says looking out the window. We saw people around everywhere. The town was bigger than his pack town. And as we kept driving we saw three different training grounds with hundreds of warriors training in each other them. Noah was amazed but I was a little terrified. I didn't know what to think. " It's good to be home." Ivy says from the front seat of the car. " Tell me about it. I hope my brothers haven't set fire to anything while we were away." Asher says. " I don't think your brothers are the ones that we need to worry about anymore. I hope the kids didn't set fire to anything while we were away." Ivy says. " Oh yeah. I forgot about them." Asher says. And Ivy hit him in the chest. " I'
