IVY POV

Arriving back on our territory I felt a huge weight being lifted off of my shoulders. I was finally home and it felt like I had been gone for so much longer than just two weeks. But I was finally home.

Walking through the woods as my wolf with Asher right by my side, I decided to take it slow heading towards the packhouse and let it all sink in before I was bombarded with everyone waiting for me.

Asher rubbed his nuzzle against my neck getting my attention.

' You know, we don't have to go right to the packhouse.' Asher says through the link.

' What do you mean?' I asked.

' We can send the warriors ahead and see how much of this forest we can destroy before getting back?' He asked.

' Typical man. Always thinking with your dick.' I say.

' Of course.' He admitted.

' We have the rest of our lives. I want to get back before Freya arrives. Otherwise she'll be terrified.' I say.

' Alright. But don't plan on getting much sleep tonight.' He chuckles.

' Hey. I was g

" Well, it turns out that white wolves have more powers that we thought. At least, this white wolf does." I say slowly. " What kind of healing powers?" Asher asked. And I looked at him and a claw mark that was slowly healing down the side of his face and neck. So I placed my hand over it and I closed my eyes and I concentrated on what I was doing. I heard gasps as a bright light came from my hand and I ran it along the wound and it disappeared straight away. " Oh my god." Spencer says shocked. And Asher picked up his metal cutlery to look at his face and see that the wound was gone. " You just healed that." Asher said in disbeleif. " I did." I say. " She took my cancer away." Freya spoke up and they all stared at me and someone dropped their cutlery. " Don't ask me how I did that. I just did. I concentrated on what I needed to. I actually saw the cancer attacking her bones and I healed her the first time I tried. Jackson didn't know that. He thought that I was examining t

When I woke up the following morning I looked at the clock and realized it was 9am. I never expected to sleep in that late. I guess I was more exhausted than I thought. Asher was still lying next to me and I rolled over and he was awake just watching me sleep. " You know. That could be considered creepy." I joked. " I know. But you look so peaceful." He says. " I was. It was a good sleep." I say. " I could tell. You were out like a light." He says. " Oh crap. I have to check on Freya." I say about to get up. But Asher pulled me back down to the bed. " I just did. She's awake and dressed and Spencer took her downstairs to get some breakfast. She's taken care of." Asher says. " I don't want her to think that I'm ignoring her." I say. " She doesn't think that. I explained to her that you were still asleep. That you were exhausted. She's 12. She's not stupid. She knows what happened to you and that you were kidnapped." He says. " Okay then. Are you sure that she's alri

" Ivy. I know that we haven't known each other for that long, but what does that really matter. When you were gone the only thing I could think about was getting you back. Waking up next to you every day for the rest of my life. I couldn't sleep, especially not in our bed. I was sleeping on the couch in our room because you weren't there with me. I realized that this is all I want for the rest of my life. To have you and nothing but you by my side for the rest of my life. So, will you do me the honour of marrying me?" He asked. " Yes." I say. And he let out the breath that he was holding and he slipped the ring on my finger and he pulled me up from the chair and kissed me. He twirled me around while kissing me and my feet were off the ground. I could feel his relief and happiness through the bond and I knew that he could tell that I was feeling the exact same way. " That explains why you were so nervous." I laughed. And he shook his head. When we got back to the packhouse that n

" She's only 12 years old. You are a f**king creep." I say. " Like I said, I won't do anything. Not until she's of age." He says. " That's 6 years. Can you really be around her for 6 years knowing that she's your mate and not do anything. The pull will be too strong if you are around her every day. We both know that. You'll last a year or two at the most. And you are not having sex with my sister when she is 13 or 14." I demanded. " I know. I've been thinking about this a lot too. Ever since I met her. I know what I have to do." He says. " And what's that?" I asked. " I'm leaving. I've already decided. It is going to kill me being away but I know that it's the best decision. Everyone will think so." He says. " Well, I sure as hell do." I yelled. " What's going on in here?" Asher asked coming inside the kitchen. " Do you want to tell him or me?" I asked. " Tell me what?" Asher asked. " Freya is my mate. I know it, she obviously doesn't." Beau says taking a step back

  • THE ALPHA'S PROTECTIVE BROTHERS   CHAPTER 49

IVY POV ONE YEAR LATER Well, surprisingly I have settled into my role as Luna pretty well now. I didn't think I could ever really accept this position but here I was. I was doing it. All of our little villages had been completed and a lot of people had jobs off of the territory but that was fine. That was always allowed because there weren't enough jobs in our pack to accomodate everyone. And everyone seemed really happy. Freya was doing great in school and she was even seeing a boy from her grade that we liked really much. He was a good kid and didn't get into trouble. It was funny seeing Asher with her though. Asher had definitely taken on the father figure in her life and he gave that poor boy the grilling of a lifetime when he came to the house for the first time. I felt so sorry for him. I eventually had to stop it and let the boy know that the Alpha of his pack was just kidding. I didn't want Asher to scare him off. Freya looked happy with him and that's the way I wanted it

  • THE ALPHA'S PROTECTIVE BROTHERS   CHAPTER 50

I was getting really paranoid after that conversation with Asher. I didn't know what to do. And I was a little afraid to go anywhere alone. So he made sure that someone had eyes on me at all times. And he obviously chose people that he trusted without a question of doubt. But he didn't make it obvious. He made sure that they had eyes on me but they were actually escorting me anywhere. They were following me from a distance so that it wasn't so obvious. I had to continue my Luna duties and I had a meeting with a group of ladies to hear what issues that they had around the pack which took us almost an entire state. Some of them travelled hours to be here so we had food and drinks set up in the conference room and we all sat around the table talking about all the issues that they had in their little communities. They all told me of things that were happening and I was writing everything down that I thought needed attention, especially around security. Now more than ever, I was worrie

  • THE ALPHA'S PROTECTIVE BROTHERS   CHAPTER 51

The next morning after we got up and dressed we headed downstairs to the dining room and Freya was just leaving for school and Spencer and Cole were nowhere to be seen either. So Asher and I sat in the informal dining room at a table next to the window and I was looking out at the sun shining down and the gardens outside. " Are you alright?" Asher asked. " Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" I asked. " I don't know. You just look a little pissed off." He says. " Why the hell shouldn't I be pissed off?" I asked just as Lucy walked over with a tray and put down our plates of food and two coffees. " Enjoy guys." She says walking away. And I just sat there and stared at the coffee and then looked at Asher. " We have to pretend like we don't know anything." Asher whispered. " I'm not drinking that. Who the hell knows what she's been putting in it." I say. " It's just birth control." He says. " What kind? It could be poison for all I know. It could be rotting my insides for all we kn

IVY POV I walked into the bedroom late one night and Asher was already in there. He had just stepped out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist and I sat on the bed to take my shoes off. " Where have you been all afternoon?" He asked. " What do you mean? I went to see a couple of those villages. I had meetings with the women there." I say. " Oh yeah. That's what you say." He says. " What the hell is that meant to mean?" I yell. " I mean, I called those villages. I know that you weren't there. So where the hell were you? I was looking for you all afternoon and your mind link wasn't working. You've already been kidnapped once. Do you really want it to happen again?" Asher yelled at me. " Screw you. What the hell are you accusing me of?" I asked as I stood up. " You know exactly what I am accusing you of. Who the hell were you with?" He asked. " Wow. You are really f**king reaching now, aren't you?" I asked. " Well, I'm obviously not doing the job getting you pregn

I ran to Noah to make sure that he was still alive, and I let out a huge sigh of relief when I saw that he was still breathing. He was bleeding and he was injured, but he was alive. " I knew that was the only way to get you alone." Nick says from the door behind me. I turned around slowly and stood up. I was looking for a way out, but I couldn't get out. Not with Noah. I couldn't carry him. He was too big and heavy for me to carry. I was trapped. I wasn't leaving him here alone. " What did you do with Asher?" I asked. " You don't need to worry about him anymore. No one does." Nick smirked at me. " No." I screamed. " Well, you bought them here. You knew what I was. All this blood is on your hands." He says. " Why the hell would I ever want to have anything to do with you? Asher and Ivy are the only ones in this world that have never treated me like shit or tried to use me for my powers. I know that you were going to." I yelled as tears were falling down my face. " Are yo

  • THE ALPHA'S PROTECTIVE BROTHERS   CHAPTER TWELVE

It only took about half an hour to run to the house while in wolf form because we cut through the woods and we were really fast. It was fun running in wolf form though. I loved it. But when the house came into sight I got a sinking feeling in my stomach. The house was huge. Almost like a mansion but luckily it had a huge yard, because there were other houses next to it. We didn't want civilians getting hurt. And no one said anything about evacuating civilians. So Asher wasn't going to tell the neighbours what was going on. I guess he didn't want to tip Nick off as to what was happening. I looked up at the house and all the windows were blacked out and the sun was just starting to appear but it was still dark. So I shifted back and I quickly got dressed. Noah shifted back for a moment and he grabbed my hand and pulled me to him to kiss me. " I love you." He says. " I love you too. I'll see you soon." I say. And I started walking to the house. As soon as I got to the front doo

  • THE ALPHA'S PROTECTIVE BROTHERS   CHAPTER ELEVEN

My life was compeltely different from what I knew it as. My days were spent with Ivy training with my powers and training how to fight. She was an awesome teacher and I'm glad that I got her instead of the warriors. She was tough on me but she wasn't insanely tough like the other instructors were on the trainees. Noah and I weren't seeing too much of each other. He was going to school and then working after school but we still managed to have dinner together at night and we tried to watch a movie or something to have a bit of time together. Ivy told me that was important. To make sure that we spent as much time together as possible. I guess she knows that from experience. I've heard all the stories of her being kidnapped and going missing and even Asher. They were horrific stories to me and I couldn't do that to Noah. I wanted to make sure that I spent as much time together with him as possible. I knew that they were already making plan to attack Nick's hideout but they were wa

  • THE ALPHA'S PROTECTIVE BROTHERS   CHAPTER TEN

As soon as we got the news that we knew where Nick was staying then Ivy was right on top of me about getting control of my powers. We needed me to learn how to control my powers so I don't hurt the people around me and I only hurt the people I intend on hurting. So she took me to the training grounds that she reserved just for us and we sat on the ground and crossed our legs. " Now, with powers like this meditation is the key to being able to control what you are going to do." Ivy says. " I've never really been one to meditate." I say. " It's concentration. You need to concentrate on what you are doing. Meditation is the key to doing that. You need to learn." Ivy says. " Alright. I'll try." I say. I've always had trouble meditating because there's always too much crap going on inside my head. I know that I need to give it a chance, but I can never calm my mind down long enough for it to actually work. I closed my eyes while sitting on the ground and I took a couple of deep

  • THE ALPHA'S PROTECTIVE BROTHERS   CHAPTER NINE

Every morning Ivy was working me like a dog at training and Noah and I had also started going to school in the pack. We were meeting new kids from the area and it was good to have kids that we at least had something in common with. Noah made friends easier than I did, but at least he never left me alone or anything like that. His friends became my friends and I didn't really mind that. I always seemed to get along better with guys then with girls. And I could tell that a lot of girls were starting to hate me for it. But I didn't really care. It wasn't my fault that I wasn't a girly girl. I was actually surprised that she-wolves were like that. They cared too much about clothes and make up and all the same stuff that regular girls cared about. But that stuff never interested me. And I think it put them off a little bit. But I knew that as long as I had Noah then I would be alright. He had been my lifeline for so long and I guess that wasn't going to change now that we're in this pa

  • THE ALPHA'S PROTECTIVE BROTHERS   CHAPTER EIGHT

The whole walk back to the packhouse was quiet. No one talked but I was fully aware of how close Ivy and Asher were behind me. They were angry with me. I knew that they were angry with me. I should have told them the truth from the start but I didn't think I had any choice. I had to keep it to myself. Noah was in danger. When we got to the packhouse I noticed that the living room light was on and when I walked inside Noah ran over to me and hugged me. " What the fuck do you think you were doing?" Noah snapped at me while still hugging me. I could actually feel how angry he was. And he was letting me know. That was a lot better than Ivy and Asher. They weren't yelling or screaming or punishing me. They were just quiet. It was really nerve wracking. I knew that they would never trust me again. They didn't have a reason to. I kept a huge secret from them and they needed to know the truth about vampires coming back to their territory. But I thought I would be leaving with them and

That night I didn't get very much sleep at all. I was tossing and turning all night until I finally got up and I went downstairs to the kitchen to get a drink. That's where I bumped into Ivy. She was down there giving the baby a bottle. " I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt." I say. " What are you talking about? It's the middle of the night. I welcome the intrusion at this time of night." She says. And I chuckle. " I just came to get a drink. I can't sleep." I say getting a bottle of water out of the fridge and I sat at the kitchen island next to her. " I can imagine. Tonight was pretty massive for you, wasn't it?" She asked. " Yeah. It was." I say. " I know that things haven't been easy for you. I get that. I know exactly how that is. I grew up knowing my father but I didn't actually know that he was my father. He was the Alpha of my old pack and he raped my mother when she was 14. She got pregnant with me and she was shunned by the whole pack. He ordered the pack to ha

It was clear that we weren't starting school today because school was cancelled. Too many people were concerned about the safety of their children. Apparently this pack has met day walking vampires and didn't want to risk it in case any might be on the land. So we just sat around the packhouse and I was lost in thought for most of the morning while we were sitting in the living room and I saw the kids running around everywhere. All of the kids. Quinn and Patrick included. They really did look like they had ADHD but they were just werewolf kids when Ivy came into the room and their kids ran over and jumped on Ivy. " Regan. The meeting is happening tonight. He insisted that you be there. But there will be a lot of protection so they won't be able to try anything while you're here." Ivy explained. " Where will the meeting take place?" Noah asked. " At the boarder." Ivy replied. " Outside? Really?" I asked nervously. " Trust me. You'll be alright. We will have warriors surro

When we landed at the airport we had to get into more cars that were waiting for us but it was just a short drive to the Blue Moon Pack. I heard that's what they called themselves. " Oh my god. I knew that you owned a large pack, But I never imagined it would be anything like this." Noah says looking out the window. We saw people around everywhere. The town was bigger than his pack town. And as we kept driving we saw three different training grounds with hundreds of warriors training in each other them. Noah was amazed but I was a little terrified. I didn't know what to think. " It's good to be home." Ivy says from the front seat of the car. " Tell me about it. I hope my brothers haven't set fire to anything while we were away." Asher says. " I don't think your brothers are the ones that we need to worry about anymore. I hope the kids didn't set fire to anything while we were away." Ivy says. " Oh yeah. I forgot about them." Asher says. And Ivy hit him in the chest. " I'
