Long time ago, during the reign of Lord Matthias a powerful dark lord emerged.

He caused tremors and total destruction, the Supernatural world was falling apart, Lord Golchin, the dark Lord was causing some imbalance in nature. No one till this day know how he did it, even Lord Matthias.

Lord Matthias set out with his men to put the Supernatural world in peace which he eventually did but realised his descendants has been cursed, they will not be able to live past 500 years. Who eventually became the Alpha's King won't live past the age, it was then he realised his folly. Golchin wasn't alone, he was working with the Nature Manipulators, a set of people who could bend nature wills and force its repercussions on others. So was their powers

Cursing himself, he vowed not to laid with any woman but one day he found himself with a woman in bed, his mate. How?

He couldn't decipher that, knowing he won't be able to live with this for the rest of his live he went into isolation together with his mate.

Damien stood there watching his father recollecting the old memories which was hard to forget. He held a strong face but he was breaking inwardly, he couldn't see his father like this. He was in so much pain and guilt.

Guilt?

He found the seemingly strange, why was his father in guilt. He couldn't find an answer for that.

"I'm sorry for not putting an end to this before going."

His father broke down, his head hung low.

Now he got it, his father was probably trying to put an end to this before passing on.

Passing on!

He was probably dying from so much guilt inside not being able to protect his sons, after all he was the one who brought them into the world. He knew the pain of not being able to protect the one you love especially when its your offsprings. His father had once suffered the pain of losing his mate.

Their Mother

She left them when they were so little back then.

"She went to rest."

His father would often tell them but Damien would always see so much anguish in his heart, the pain of losing your other half was truly excruciating. This made his father turned cold, he became a vicious ruler killing his brother to attain the position.

This suprised alot of people because when he was little they often say he once said he didn't have the interest in becoming a ruler but he was, a ruler because his Mate has left him. He wondered back to the human he found earlier, his father here made him realised having a Mate was as good as a weakness. Therefore, he dislike being Mated to someone who couldn't protect forever.

"Father."

He began in his cold time which was swirling with so much emotions underneath. His father looked up to him.

"I promise I will find the cure to the curse."

He always promised him. The seer had once come into the Kingdom and told them that there was a cure to the Curse.

But what?

He couldn't answered but just said at the right time. But isn't that taking too long now. He couldn't do anything to protect his father, for the first time in his life he became useless.

"Will you kill your brothers to attain the throne?"

He froze why was his father asking this when he knows the norms, more of like tradition. It was hereditary.

"I think I should go father."

Not able to handle the pain but he his father knew better than him. With so much pain in his heart he walked out, his chest banging hard in pain, he walked through the territory he was now in his clan. He glance beyond his territory, he heart throbb in pain knowing fully well that one day all this will become his.

His brothers territory.

"Will you kill your brothers to sit on the throne?"

He remembered his father words, it was deep and somehow connected. He had always felt happy about being the ruler of the great Kingdom, The Alpha's King. But now he felt sad, he would disappoint his father expectations of him.

Those eyes he remembered had held onto pain, so much that it made him build a wall around himself. Turning the pain into passion, he became the ruler, a great and vicious ruler. No one dare to defy his orders, else they face his wrath.

Suddenly, his wolf stir up immediately he looked ahead of him and found her with his man, Elaine. He felt the pain that had throbbed his heart earlier vanishing.

It was strange and somehow comforting but he couldn't bring himself to believe that she was actually his Mate.

His. Why did the legendary Moon Goddess paired him with a human. He near her and signal for Elaine to leave them alone, he prepared this place for her.

He took his time to studied her and he couldn't deny the fact that she was strikingly beautiful, the type who could make humans and even wolves go haywire. He silk hair which stood past her shoulder, her well sculpted face. He envisioned the face he had seen earlier. For the first time, he felt attracted to someone but he knew it was it was his wolf who was restless, it long to have its other half in his arms. That would make him complete.

"Have your sit."

He said and she seems startled upon his presence behind her.

From her look, she seems food deprived. He stared at her but she was wasn't looking in his direction. Her attention was on the food laid between them.

"Let's eat first."

I said and her expression widened, she was glad. He scold himself for not feeding her first.

Maybe after this, he is going to tell her what she is to him. He wondered what her reaction would be. He looked forward to that.
