CHAPTER 41

ALPHA DENVER’S POV

We finally got to the palace and I could feel the eyes of the guards on night watch on me as I walked into the palace with an asleep Yara still slung over my shoulder but I didn’t pay them any heed. They knew better than to say anything. Except they didn’t want to keep their means of surviving by working under me.

I walked up the stairs of the now quiet palace and I finally got to the passage where our rooms were.

I stopped by her door and I attempted to drop her from my shoulder but she held onto me and began to whimper in her sleep. I didn’t sign for all of this and she was going to get an earful from me the next morning… right before I would tell her what I thought about how she beat Leo and Mark to stupor.

With a sigh, I walked into the room and I flipped the switch. Light flooded the once-dark room and it was starkly clean.
