ALPHA DENVER’S POVI didn’t know what was happening to me as I began to drink with Yara outside the gym. I was the one who offered that we drink before we go to bed because strangely, I was hoping drinking together would make her less grumpy since she seemed like she was in a bad mood. YARA’S POVI walked fast back to my room and all I saw was red. I was fuming and I could fling anything at anyone that would attempt to speak to me at that moment.Freya had just been pretending. She was never genuine with how she was so friendly with me and cared for me. She made me think she was a friend. The only friend I had in this place but she was just working for Alpha Denver and was only putting up an act for me to believe in. I couldn’t believe I fell right into that and I was just finding out after so many months when all the time, I talked and laughed with Freya, she didn’t mean any of it. YARA’S POVI was ready to leave for the company along with Alpha Denver and Cillian as usual and I chose to not have breakfast that morning because I wasn’t in the mood to. I went downstairs and everyone was ready… including the guards that always followed closely behind Alpha Denver’s car all the time in a separate car of their own for security. I walked down the stairs that led to the entrance of the palace and I stopped right at the foot of the stairs when my eyes fell on Alpha Denver and I saw he was watching me too. He looked like he was waiting for me to get into the car with him. Well, that wasn’t happening. I tore my gaze from him and I walked towards the car with the guards. They all fell silent once they saw me and I forced a smile on my face because they were my only chance of going to the company without getting in the same car with Alpha Denver. I really didn’t want to be in such an enclosed space with him.“Good morning guys. You still got space for one in your car?”

YARA’S POV“You’re going to help by being a distraction for me. You’ll try to divert the new owner’s attention while I take the key to the bike and I’ll let you know once I’m done retrieving the bike too” his words kept on ringing in my head as we drove to the company. And even after we arrived at the company and we got down from the car, it still played in my head nonstop.Alpha Denver was telling me to be a distraction for him to retrieve his bike from its new owner and I was no novice, I knew exactly what he was talking about and I certainly knew that I couldn’t do it. ALPHA DENVER’S POVThe first thing I did once we got to the palace and got out of the car was to let Yara know that we were only having a light dinner due to the plan we had to see through later that night and I could still remember the frown on her face when I told her that and how she grudgingly nodded, telling me she understood before she walked into the palace, leaving me behind.Then I went into the palace after her and another thing I had in mind to do was get a stylist to choose a dress for her because I knew Yara. she was definitely going to wear pants to follow me if she could. ALPHA DENVER’S POV“Say something and stop gaping at me like I just got bathed with mud, would you? I know I look ridiculous. Your face says it all” she mumbled and grumbled while she kept on fixing the dress over and over with an uncomfortable look on her face. I quickly shook my head and walked closer to her. Then I tucked her hair behind her ear to fix the listening device and I could feel her stiffening beneath my touch when my finger brushed the tip of her ear.“You don’t look ridiculous Yara. you look too good for someone who is always in sweatpants and trust me, that Lycan prince wouldn’t get his eyes off you” I said to her and I could hear her drag in a sharp breath before she released it through her mouth and I watched closely, how her lips contracted so closely together to form an ‘o’ shape while she breathed out. ALPHA DENVER’S POVStraightening my jacket, I made my way to the club’s entrance and the guards turned to face me immediately. With a straight face, I took off my jacket and folded up the sleeve of my shirt then I showed them a tattoo on my arm; the symbol of my pack and they recognized me as the alpha immediately. With a bow of their heads each, they made way for me to go into the club and I smirked.“Welcome to Club De Nuit, alpha Denver of the SOUTH VALLEY pack” one of the guards greeted me and I nodded at him subtly before I walked into the club. YARA’S POVThe only thing I thought I had to do was go into the club, get the key from the lycan prince, and leave immediately. Until I sat with him and I realized it wouldn’t be so easy.I instantly regretted when I intentionally bumped into a table and had all the glass on the table tumbling down just so Alpha Denver could find me when he lost me. Because of that, thankfully, I didn’t have to force myself on the lycan prince. Instead, he called for me over to his booth but he was way too interested in me to let me go and I had to force a smile on my face throughout the whole excruciating conversation. I had to listen to him spit disgusting words about the things he wanted to do to me and how pretty he thought I was while I had to fight the strong urge to grab a fork from the table and jam it down his tongue so he wouldn’t have to speak again.I could see Alpha Denver watching him with hawk eyes from over the VIP booth he occupied and it was another struggle for me not to laugh.
