YARA’S POV

I walked fast back to my room and all I saw was red. I was fuming and I could fling anything at anyone that would attempt to speak to me at that moment.

Freya had just been pretending. She was never genuine with how she was so friendly with me and cared for me. She made me think she was a friend. The only friend I had in this place but she was just working for Alpha Denver and was only putting up an act for me to believe in. I couldn’t believe I fell right into that and I was just finding out after so many months when all the time, I talked and laughed with Freya, she didn’t mean any of it. It was all a facade.

I bumped into a maid and the basket she held fell to the floor. Clean towels poured out of the basket and they rolled away. I felt sorry and wanted to make it right so I began to pick them up one by one and when I was done, I apologized to her and was about to leave when I saw Freya standing before me and her face was filled with the want to be listened to.
