CHAPTER 39

YARA’S POV

I began to hear hurried footsteps and I could tell that they were the ones. I snickered when I saw shadows approaching the corner from the place I hid and when they finally made their way into the corner, I watched in delight as they searched for me with confusion on their faces.

“Are you sure this is where she followed? I don’t see her Mark” Leo said, his voice laced with distress and Mark sighed. He looked very confused.

“I don’t know Leo. I saw her entering here so I don’t understand why she isn’t here” he replied and they both went silent as they stood and looked everywhere. Maybe they thought I would end up springing out from the place I was hiding but that wasn’t going to happen because I was going to get them off my back today.

After making sure they had lowered their guards after a while had passed while they searched for me, I took the perfect weapon that I had found a while back; a piece of brick and I clutched onto it tightly in my hands.
