Jill’s POV

I was so happy that Charles had made up with the sales guy. I could tell from the way that they looked at each other that it had not just been a fling and that they both still liked each other. I would have to make sure that he had a perfect evening tomorrow night. We arrived home and I was shocked that Chad, and the boys were not here. I cursed to myself for feeling sad. Thankfully I did not have to be sad for long as I saw Chad’s truck pulling into the pack. James got straight out and wrapped his arm around Meg asking her why we were back so soon. I turned away hating the pain in my chest as I turned towards Chad, and he just gave me a weak smile. I missed having someone happy to see me.
