"Kay hurry up!" My best friend shouted outside my door. I rolled my eyes.
"Go away I told you I'm not coming down. I don't want to see that jerk!" Amelia sighed from the other side of the door.
"Your mom and dad really want you to come down though and Dominic and his family traveled kinda far to come today." I groaned.
"I don't care he's been so rude to me lately I just cant stand it. I can't believe I had a crush on that butt head." Amelia giggled.
"Oh come on Kay Dominics not so bad."
"Yes he is! He never wants to play any games right. He always insists on being married to you or something when we try to play house. I try so hard to be nice to him but he's so mean to me!" I heard my best friend sigh from the other side of the door.
"Ever stop to think maybe he does that because he really likes you?" She said.
When we got back to the pack house we were all fairly tired from our trip. Dominic texted someone and just explained a couple of his warriors would come get our things and just leave them outside of our room for now he just wanted to take a nap with me. I nodded and said good by to Amelia and Xander and thanked them for coming with us again. They both just gave a small nod as we went seperate ways. Once snuggled safely and comfortably in bed next to Dominic he started to play with my hair and I smiled at him. We had some lights on so it wasn't completely dark but the low lighting made his golden eyes seem to glow and I was mesmerized yet again by them. He rolled onto his back after a few moments and let a sigh escape from him. I propped myself up on my elbow and looked at him with my head slightly tilted. He turned his head to me and smiled. "Angel although I don't want to ask I know I gotta. Sit up for me wth your
By the time I woke up Dominic was already gone. My guess was to go for morning training. I couldn't blame him. He was probably conflicted in emotions over what I had told him last night. He was probably equal parts angry at Elstan for what I had suffered through and hurt that I had suffered so much and no one had realized it or stopped it. I didn't blame him for how he probably was feeling. I noticed the bags from yesterday neatly arranged by my closet door. I got out of bed with a smile on my face for the first time in a while. I was eager to put the clothes away and just pick out a nice casual outfit for today. It also meant I finally had clean undergarments and that made me crave a shower more then anything. I quickly unpacked everything and hung it or folded it and put it away, everything still had the tags on it mostly because I just didn't feel like taking them off right now. I picked out a nice powder blue knitted
I awoke early, well before Doms alarm even went off. I slid out of bed and into my closet to grab a work out outfit i had bought with some clean underclothing and socks and shoes. I slipped quietly back through the room and into the bathroom to dress, brush my teeth and pull my hair up. I put my clothes in the hamper that I had begged Dominic to put in there out of convinience and then slipped back into our room to grab my phone and air pods. I left him a note saying I went for my early morning jog and I would be at the training grounds before him. I slipped out of our bedroom only to see Amelia standing there smiling while holding two cups of coffee for us. I smiled at her and just tilted my head towards the stairs. When we were outside I looked to make sure no one was around before I turned to her and placed a hand on my hip with a questioning look. I was greatful to my best friend as always but I knew she wasnt exactly a morning person. An
Although Dom had said the mock battles would be against Xander, himself, Amelia or me most of the battles ended up being against Amelia and myself. I had a feeling he was trying to test our dexterity and how we would do in situations where we werent able to take breaks in fighting, like a rouge attack. Amelia and I effortlessly won each match, none of them lasting more then five minuets. I could see the amusement in Dominics eyes and the pride in Kyles. I had a feeling Dom had no idea how much training Amelia and I really had recieved in the past. Mira sat sulking on the bleachers on the opposite end of Dominic and Xander. All her little groupies who had the audacity to challenge me and loose surrounded her. The hatred in her eyes made me smile. Zariah even felt smug about kicking their asses. I knew I wasn't exactly some badass but I felt like it. "Alright ladies last drill for the day. Kaydence, Amelia I want to see how you two fare in group attacks. You can do it seperatly
"Ugh I am really starting to regret eating so much this morning." I said holding my side. Amelia, Kyle and Elstan stopped beside me shaking their heads. "I told you being such a pig would bite you in the ass one day." Elstan said crossing his arms. I felt ashamed. I really hadn't eaten that much this morning. Three pancakes, a few grapes and some orange juice were nothing compared to what everyone else had ate this morning. Elstan had insisted I was gaining weight and had me on a diet because he couldn't stand having a fat girlfriend or future mate. Most mornings I was allowed a handful of cereal or a pancake or a handful of grapes and that was it. I had only eaten so much today because my period had me thinking and feeling like I was starving. "Lay the fuck off Elstan Kay isn't fat and she isn't a pig. She's on her fucking period moron." Amelia said crossly. She was getting tired of Elstan calling me fat around her. "I know she is Amelia, fuck the whole pack can proba
After I was fully fed Dominic and I headed back to our room to shower and change. Well it was mostly me who wanted to change after this mornings training. I had seen Dominic watching me on several occassions and couldn't help but wondering what he had been thinking. Of course I didn't want to discuss that in front of Amelia and Kyle, even though both were pretty use to me talking about my sex life and what not I didn't want to embarass my mate. Once in the safety of our room I turned to look at him and folded my arms across my chest. "Alright spill it." I said. He looked startled. "Spill what?" I looked him up and down. I could feel Zariah pacing in my mind. I had a feeling we were in heat but I wasn't entirely sure anymore since my cycle was so irregular. "What was on your mind this morning. I saw how you were looking at me." He grinned. "Oh that." He closed the distance between us and tangled his hand in my hair as he pulled me up into his arms for a deep kiss. El
The days flew by and saturday was here before we knew it. Tonight Dominic was going to announce to the entire pack about what was going on in Deepridge pack and formally introduce Amelia, Kyle and myself to the pack and explain we would be coming pack members officially come the next full moon since that ws just practice and I would be officially become his Luna at that time as well. Morning training was going very smoothly and we had agreed starting next week we would start the mixed training schedule and I spent time both observing the men and women to asses weaknesses and strengths just as Dominic did and planning how to go about morning trainings with mine and Xanders group. Pretty much every morninng after training I was naked in bed and under Dominic until he pulled me on top of him. He was still in complete control though. Zariah and I didn't seem to mind one bit despite the fact we could be very dominant and had been in the past. It made me laugh a little. We spent pretty
The day after our little introduction into the pack Amelia and I set to work researching everything that could possibly give a boost to a werewolfs power. Most of it was just speculation and stuff that sounded more like fanfiction written by humans. Some of it made me laugh and some of it made me want to bang my head against a wall. There wasn't anything written by wolves to help us so we had no choice. A week before the full moon I had a full list of possible things that could of worked. I had convinved Dominic to take me to a couple new age stores to buy a few herbs but i didnt buy a whole lot of each herb from each store so that it didn't look suspicious. After the fifth store and a lot of grumbling from Dominic we finally headed home. He had not gone into any of the shops with me so he didn't exactly know what I had bought. Unfortunately there had never been anything that supposedly makes us stronger, only what would supposedly kill us. "How do you know what it is?"
Hey everyone Thank you so much for reading book two in the surviving my fate series. I am currently working on book three Surviving My Blood as well as some other books in the series. Surviving my blood will start having chapters posted on a weekly basis and the first chapter is already up. It will also be the final book in Kaydence and Dominics story as the other books will focus on the other Allied Alphas and them finding their mates. I am also working on book two to For the Love of Death which I have titled For the Children of Death and that will also have weekly chapters posted. I am also planning to work on a murder myster novel that my grandmother inspired me to write which is called Murder in bloom. The next book I will also be posting weekly chapters for is called The vampires Kiss and is a version of the first vampire book I wrote for a creative writing class in highschool. The final book I am working on is actually the first werewolf book I ever wrote and i'm deciding to
I stood there debating on what to do for a moment. Elstan didn't budge, but the wolf to his right waved his arm above his head, almost like he was waving at me, and more wolves that I hadn't noticed before stepped forward. I didn't recognize most, if any of the wolves that were there. Was it possible they were all rogues? How many had he taken in? I tried not to think about it and tried to just keep my head and mind clear. That was my best bet right now. I took a few deep breaths to calm myself. "I had a feeling that once you figured out that Alpha Larson betrayed your little secret to me you guys would plan to attack as soon as possible. I had a feeling today would be the day. Glad to see you're as predictable as ever Kaydence. So let me tell you how this is gonna go. You have two options. Leave now and I will let you, Dominic and the wolves of Pale Crest walk away unharmed. Option two we fight it out, I kill you and force D
The next morning we were all up early. I threw on a pair of yoga pants and a tank top that I didn't care much about, not even bothering with a bra or panties since I was most likely going to be fighting in wolf form a good portion of the time. I had a spare pair of clothes I was going to store in the bus Dominic, myself and a few others would be riding in. We had agreed that instead of stripping down to shift like we usually would we would just bring extra clothes to save time and not leave as much evidence. I had tried shifting with clothes on before and I remembered destroying them. Dominic and I headed to breakfast together. We had notified the kitchen staff about an early breakfast the night before for todays battle and thankfully there was muffins, fruit and cups of coffee and juice all to go. By five everyone was on the training grounds and ready to go. No body said anything and the tension in the air was so thick it was pract
I stood looking at the twenty wolves that were in my squad. Most were pack members since Dominic thought that would be best but I had two that were not in Pale crest pack. It was of course Alpha Blaine and Alpha Avery who insisted I take two of their better warriors. I didn't understand at first, but when Dominic explained they were just worried about me and wanted to make sure I would be able to get to Elstan I understoodazx hvff. There was only two girls on my squad which I thought was a bit sexist but I didn't argue with Dominic. I knew he just wanted to make sure I would be safe since none of us knew what would happen tomorrow. "Alright everyone listen up." Everyone looked at me and I almost shrank away before reminding myself of what I was doing and why it had to be done. I wasn't sire why i felt so uneasy all of a sudden. "Does everyone know our squads duty?" I asked making sure everyone had been able to hear Dominic a litle while ago. "Protect Pale Crests Luna whil
I sat on the edge of mine and Dominics bed holding the only photo of Elstan and I that I still had. We looked so happy and so in love in the photo. I couldn't figure it out, but for whatever reason I just couldn't destroy it. I still hated him, but I hadn't always and I knew that. Sometimes I couldn't help but wonder how things would be if he had been different. I was struggling mentally knowing that in two days I would be killing my first mate if he refused to back down. True he had put our pack through hell and he had destroyed everything, but even then I couldn't fully hate him and I didn't understand it. "Are you ok?" Dominic asked sitting next to me and pulling me into him. I shook my head. "Honestly I don't know any more." Dominic looked at the picture and smiled. "You look beautiful in this photo angel." He said playing with a strand of my hair. "This was right before he started trying to control how I dressed." "Kay i'm not mad you still have this,
This summary is for those who didn't want to read chapter twenty nine due to some of the possible triggers in it. To sum it up in the chapter it talks about Laina meeting and being given to Elstan on her fourteenth birthday. Her father is forced out of her life after treating her poorely and abusing her. Laina realizes fairly quickly what kind of man Elstan is but is now stuck in the situation. You also read about Elstan being given the vial of the stimulant he used to over power Kaydence in the first book. Although I don't name the character it is from the Elder who was there for the challenge. Again thank you for all your support guys. -Mavis Belladonna.
I snuggled deeper into the musty blanket, it was so cold. Being a rouge wolf sucked. The places we stayed in, mostly caves, were never warm. I never had warm clean clothes or blankets either. However I could remember a time when I had warm clothes, food, blankets, hell even warm baths. That had been so long ago though. It hurt sometimes to remember those things. Everything felt like yesterday to me sometimes even though I had been considered a rouge wolf for a long time now. A part of me didn't even remember what living in a pack was like anymore, but I had a few memories of it. My favorite of course being around other wolves my age. There were a few children here and there, but we didn't stay with any rouge group for long. I just wanted to stay in the same spot for a couple of years. Was that too much to ask for? I also wanted to go to school like other kids we often saw, but being a rouge and not belonging anywhere made that practically impossible. Of course if I tried to ta
The next chapter in this book is about Laina and some of her hardships. It talks about child abuse, alcoholism, pedophilia, rape and several other situations that may be triggering. Please know these characters are not based off of any one I personally know. The situation may be similar to things people face in real life, but they are not based off of any real life experience. That being said I do not condone any of these behaviors or the endagerment of a minor in anyway shape or form. This chapter purely exists to give some light to Laina Forcine and why she is the way she is and how she came to be with Elstan. The chapter is not essential to the story so feel free to skip it if you don't think you'll be able to handle the chapter. I do appologize if this upsets anyone, but it is a bit crucial to understanding some of what happened prior to Elstan challenging Kaydence for the Role of alpha in the first book and does explain some things that haven't been explained yet. There will be an
Dominic and I were the first back in the conference room after lunch. I had wanted to bring bottles of water and some snacks up here because I had a sinking feeling we wouldn't be done before dinner or if we were we would have to reconvene after dinner. Dominic had told me he doubted it but it would still be nice to have snacks and drinks. Especially the drinks since we all talked a lot durring the meetings. I wanted to point out not all of us were windbags like some people, but decided to be nice and just agree with him. I could tell he wasn't exactly in the mood for my sarcasm at the moment. I couldn't blame him really, especially since my sarcasm was just my way of hiding that something was bothering me. After a while everyone came back into the conference room. Amelia and Kyle were the only ones who didn't genuinely seem bothered still by what we had learned this morning. It took me a second to realize that Amelia was carrying a couple of pictures in her hand. She sat do
