The days flew by and saturday was here before we knew it. Tonight Dominic was going to announce to the entire pack about what was going on in Deepridge pack and formally introduce Amelia, Kyle and myself to the pack and explain we would be coming pack members officially come the next full moon since that ws just practice and I would be officially become his Luna at that time as well. Morning training was going very smoothly and we had agreed starting next week we would start the mixed training schedule and I spent time both observing the men and women to asses weaknesses and strengths just as Dominic did and planning how to go about morning trainings with mine and Xanders group. Pretty much every morninng after training I was naked in bed and under Dominic until he pulled me on top of him. He was still in complete control though. Zariah and I didn't seem to mind one bit despite the fact we could be very dominant and had been in the past. It made me laugh a little. We spent pretty
The day after our little introduction into the pack Amelia and I set to work researching everything that could possibly give a boost to a werewolfs power. Most of it was just speculation and stuff that sounded more like fanfiction written by humans. Some of it made me laugh and some of it made me want to bang my head against a wall. There wasn't anything written by wolves to help us so we had no choice. A week before the full moon I had a full list of possible things that could of worked. I had convinved Dominic to take me to a couple new age stores to buy a few herbs but i didnt buy a whole lot of each herb from each store so that it didn't look suspicious. After the fifth store and a lot of grumbling from Dominic we finally headed home. He had not gone into any of the shops with me so he didn't exactly know what I had bought. Unfortunately there had never been anything that supposedly makes us stronger, only what would supposedly kill us. "How do you know what it is?"
Days went by with no success. Amelia and Kyle ended up making a second supply run for us while I started to think of what combinations we hadn't tried yet. My head was seriously hurting but we were determined to figure this out. Amelia suggested getting stuff from the fanfictions we had read about what could make us stronger and I finally gave up and agreed. There had only been two things mentioned and neither made sense to me bu it was worth a shot at this point. Our days had been a cycle of training in the mornings, taking a shower after training then going straigh to the little lab Dominic had set up for us in the basement of the pack house. It was well ventilated but it was also slightly dark so the fresh and dried out herbs wouldn't go bad as quickly. Even with the air conditioner cranked up tough the room still grew hot but thankfully not humid. Amelia and I ate every meal here which was kindly brought to us by either kitchen staff or one of our men. I told Amelia she di
Saturday came and I began pacing back and forth in both excitment and worry over how tonight would go. Some of the pack Alphas who were still allied with both Deep Ridge and Pale Crest had arrived last night and the rest of the Alphas had finished arriving about an hour ago, although I had been kept from them. Dominic was worried about how things would go before we could give them the proof that he was certain would be needed. I looked over at the box on my bed side table. To my disbelief still I had managed to figure out whatever it was Elstan had been injecting himself with. Other than the full moon ceremony tonight we were planning on proving this drugs exsistance and what it could and could not do tonight. I had already tested it much to Dominics complaints and pleas for me not to. There was no other way to ensure it would work. I had felt sick the day after taking it and wasn't looking forward to feeling that way again but the amount of strength, speed and overall boost I had
I sat there looking at the picture my aunt Jinelle had sent me from Kaydences' eighteenth birthday. Jinelle was technically just my moms best friend but she was like an aunt to me regardless. Although I was in love with Kaydence and had been for years. I had recieved the texts last night but had only just gotten around to looking at them this morning. According to my aunt Kaydence had rejected her mate Elstan after everything he had put her through. I felt proud of her and made a note to try and pay her a visit soon. Xander walked up behind me and snatched my phone before I could even look at the photos. "Still crushing on Kaydence?" I shrugged. "It's not like that. Her mom just wanted to show me her eighteenth birthday photos since I wasn't able to come like I had originally hoped. Kay understood though and just thought it would be nice of her mom to send them since she thought I might of felt bad for missing out on last
I stood in front of the mirror holding up my moms Luna dress look a like that I had ordered. The white fabric shimmered in the light in an irridescent way just like hers had. I had the dress custom ordered and had provided a picture of my moms dress with a list of my measurments as well as the few things I wanted changed. For example my mothers dress had long lace sleeves, my dress only had the u shaped off the shoulder straps. My mothers dress buttoned in the back, mine zippered up the side. My mothers dress had a beautiful crescent moon shaped neckline that didn't show much if any cleavage. I had kept the neckline but had it come down more to show cleavage and point more at the tips that sat securely on my breasts. My mothers dress had no support for her breasts mine had a strapless bra sewn into it. I of course still had on a padded strapless bra underneath but that was for extra support. The only other detail I had really changed was my mothers dress had no train on it. I had
Kyle and Amelias ceremony went well from what I could hear. Most people seemed genuinely happy to be receiving more pack memebers. It made me feel happy to hear the cheers and clapping for my friends. I knew we hadn't been here long and honestly I felt like Kyle had more interaction with everyone in the pack then Amelia and I had but I genuinely wanted my friends to be happy and liked because they were good people. "Alright Kay are you ready?" Xander asked. I guess he had heard his cue or something as he linked his arm in mine. I nodded. "Ready when you are." I said with a smile. Xander smiled down at me and opened the door for me to head out first. We headed down the side of the pack house til I saw the start of a beautiful silvery blue carpet. As we got closer I saw small pillars with vases housing different blue flowers lineing the isle, it was gorgeous. A few people turned and looked at me but for the most part no one was a
The next morning I woke with a splitting headache. I rolled over to Dominic and almost had a panic attack when I didn't feel him next to me. It was sunday, we usually didn't do training exercises on the weekend to just give everyone, including ourselves a few days to relax. I went to stand but the world spun and my legs gave beneath me causing me to fall back on the bed. Zariah? I called out to her. I'm here baby. What's going on with me? Why do I feel like this? What happened during the pack run? Nothing out of the ordinary. Only difference is Domincs wolf and I did the deed. I rolled my eyes that didn't surprise me. Doesn't explain why my head is killing me or why I feel so dizzy. She was quiet a moment. I'm not sure do you want me to reach out to Zeff and tell him somethings wrong?&n
Hey everyone Thank you so much for reading book two in the surviving my fate series. I am currently working on book three Surviving My Blood as well as some other books in the series. Surviving my blood will start having chapters posted on a weekly basis and the first chapter is already up. It will also be the final book in Kaydence and Dominics story as the other books will focus on the other Allied Alphas and them finding their mates. I am also working on book two to For the Love of Death which I have titled For the Children of Death and that will also have weekly chapters posted. I am also planning to work on a murder myster novel that my grandmother inspired me to write which is called Murder in bloom. The next book I will also be posting weekly chapters for is called The vampires Kiss and is a version of the first vampire book I wrote for a creative writing class in highschool. The final book I am working on is actually the first werewolf book I ever wrote and i'm deciding to
I stood there debating on what to do for a moment. Elstan didn't budge, but the wolf to his right waved his arm above his head, almost like he was waving at me, and more wolves that I hadn't noticed before stepped forward. I didn't recognize most, if any of the wolves that were there. Was it possible they were all rogues? How many had he taken in? I tried not to think about it and tried to just keep my head and mind clear. That was my best bet right now. I took a few deep breaths to calm myself. "I had a feeling that once you figured out that Alpha Larson betrayed your little secret to me you guys would plan to attack as soon as possible. I had a feeling today would be the day. Glad to see you're as predictable as ever Kaydence. So let me tell you how this is gonna go. You have two options. Leave now and I will let you, Dominic and the wolves of Pale Crest walk away unharmed. Option two we fight it out, I kill you and force D
The next morning we were all up early. I threw on a pair of yoga pants and a tank top that I didn't care much about, not even bothering with a bra or panties since I was most likely going to be fighting in wolf form a good portion of the time. I had a spare pair of clothes I was going to store in the bus Dominic, myself and a few others would be riding in. We had agreed that instead of stripping down to shift like we usually would we would just bring extra clothes to save time and not leave as much evidence. I had tried shifting with clothes on before and I remembered destroying them. Dominic and I headed to breakfast together. We had notified the kitchen staff about an early breakfast the night before for todays battle and thankfully there was muffins, fruit and cups of coffee and juice all to go. By five everyone was on the training grounds and ready to go. No body said anything and the tension in the air was so thick it was pract
I stood looking at the twenty wolves that were in my squad. Most were pack members since Dominic thought that would be best but I had two that were not in Pale crest pack. It was of course Alpha Blaine and Alpha Avery who insisted I take two of their better warriors. I didn't understand at first, but when Dominic explained they were just worried about me and wanted to make sure I would be able to get to Elstan I understoodazx hvff. There was only two girls on my squad which I thought was a bit sexist but I didn't argue with Dominic. I knew he just wanted to make sure I would be safe since none of us knew what would happen tomorrow. "Alright everyone listen up." Everyone looked at me and I almost shrank away before reminding myself of what I was doing and why it had to be done. I wasn't sire why i felt so uneasy all of a sudden. "Does everyone know our squads duty?" I asked making sure everyone had been able to hear Dominic a litle while ago. "Protect Pale Crests Luna whil
I sat on the edge of mine and Dominics bed holding the only photo of Elstan and I that I still had. We looked so happy and so in love in the photo. I couldn't figure it out, but for whatever reason I just couldn't destroy it. I still hated him, but I hadn't always and I knew that. Sometimes I couldn't help but wonder how things would be if he had been different. I was struggling mentally knowing that in two days I would be killing my first mate if he refused to back down. True he had put our pack through hell and he had destroyed everything, but even then I couldn't fully hate him and I didn't understand it. "Are you ok?" Dominic asked sitting next to me and pulling me into him. I shook my head. "Honestly I don't know any more." Dominic looked at the picture and smiled. "You look beautiful in this photo angel." He said playing with a strand of my hair. "This was right before he started trying to control how I dressed." "Kay i'm not mad you still have this,
This summary is for those who didn't want to read chapter twenty nine due to some of the possible triggers in it. To sum it up in the chapter it talks about Laina meeting and being given to Elstan on her fourteenth birthday. Her father is forced out of her life after treating her poorely and abusing her. Laina realizes fairly quickly what kind of man Elstan is but is now stuck in the situation. You also read about Elstan being given the vial of the stimulant he used to over power Kaydence in the first book. Although I don't name the character it is from the Elder who was there for the challenge. Again thank you for all your support guys. -Mavis Belladonna.
I snuggled deeper into the musty blanket, it was so cold. Being a rouge wolf sucked. The places we stayed in, mostly caves, were never warm. I never had warm clean clothes or blankets either. However I could remember a time when I had warm clothes, food, blankets, hell even warm baths. That had been so long ago though. It hurt sometimes to remember those things. Everything felt like yesterday to me sometimes even though I had been considered a rouge wolf for a long time now. A part of me didn't even remember what living in a pack was like anymore, but I had a few memories of it. My favorite of course being around other wolves my age. There were a few children here and there, but we didn't stay with any rouge group for long. I just wanted to stay in the same spot for a couple of years. Was that too much to ask for? I also wanted to go to school like other kids we often saw, but being a rouge and not belonging anywhere made that practically impossible. Of course if I tried to ta
The next chapter in this book is about Laina and some of her hardships. It talks about child abuse, alcoholism, pedophilia, rape and several other situations that may be triggering. Please know these characters are not based off of any one I personally know. The situation may be similar to things people face in real life, but they are not based off of any real life experience. That being said I do not condone any of these behaviors or the endagerment of a minor in anyway shape or form. This chapter purely exists to give some light to Laina Forcine and why she is the way she is and how she came to be with Elstan. The chapter is not essential to the story so feel free to skip it if you don't think you'll be able to handle the chapter. I do appologize if this upsets anyone, but it is a bit crucial to understanding some of what happened prior to Elstan challenging Kaydence for the Role of alpha in the first book and does explain some things that haven't been explained yet. There will be an
Dominic and I were the first back in the conference room after lunch. I had wanted to bring bottles of water and some snacks up here because I had a sinking feeling we wouldn't be done before dinner or if we were we would have to reconvene after dinner. Dominic had told me he doubted it but it would still be nice to have snacks and drinks. Especially the drinks since we all talked a lot durring the meetings. I wanted to point out not all of us were windbags like some people, but decided to be nice and just agree with him. I could tell he wasn't exactly in the mood for my sarcasm at the moment. I couldn't blame him really, especially since my sarcasm was just my way of hiding that something was bothering me. After a while everyone came back into the conference room. Amelia and Kyle were the only ones who didn't genuinely seem bothered still by what we had learned this morning. It took me a second to realize that Amelia was carrying a couple of pictures in her hand. She sat do
