Rion's POV

As I walked into the living room, she followed behind me.

“Dear, come on outside. Our son finally came to visit.” She announced to dad who I easily assumed was in their bedroom.

“Coming!” Came his loud reply.

“When did you return?” She asked.

“Today, about an hour ago.” I replied monotonously.

“I'm really glad you're back. Your father and I were getting really worried about how you were coping after Zee’s loss.

Have a seat, I'll go make you something quickly. It's been a while since I've had a chance to feed you, you must surely miss your mum's cooking.” She spoke cheerfully and turned around to head to the kitchen.

“No, there's no need for that. I'm in a hurry, I just wanted to drop by really quickly.” I dissuaded.

“Oh, OK. You look tense. Is there something you wanna talk about?” She asked, taking a seat beside me. She's always been able to read me like a book despite being a kid who rarely showed his emotions growing up. Isn't this what a mother is supposed to be? So ho
