Chapter 110

Rion's POV

To say I was in shock would be an understatement. Her words hit me like a bullet to glass and every single memory began to shatter one after the other.

I just sat there stunned, unable to explain how I was feeling. Was it betrayal? Sadness? Fear? Regret? No, it was much more. There just isn't a word for it.

There's just no way to explain how you would feel after realizing you had been lied to for twenty two years and the people you've thought were your family this whole time were actually just two kind people who saved you as an infant and raised you. That's right, they raised me. If they hadn't picked me up that day, I wouldn't be here right now.

I have no reason to be mad at them for hiding the truth, I owe them my life. But still I can't seem to reconcile these feelings that are bubbling up inside of me.

“Rion dear, please look at me.” My mother called and placed a hand on my cheek, turning my head to look at her.
