*Lexie’s POV*

I can feel my heart pounding in my chest as I pace the sterile halls of the hospital, the anxiety twisting knots in my stomach. My mother's condition weighs heavily on me, and I'm desperate for any shred of good news.

A familiar voice calls my name, and I look up to see Noland and Natasha making their way towards me. Relief washes over me at the sight of them, but it's short-lived as I remember why they're here.

"Lexie," Noland says gently, his deep blue eyes filled with concern. I've always found comfort in his gaze, despite the forbidden nature of our attraction. But today, those eyes only serve to remind me he is here.

"Noland? Natasha? What are you both doing here?" I manage to say, my voice wavering slightly. Natasha pulls me into a tight embrace, her statuesque form towering over me, offering the support I desperately need.

"Of course we would be here, Lex. We're both worried," she says, her voice both genuine and comforting.

I nod and sigh, fighting the tea

You're going to be amazing.""Thanks, Lex," she replies with a small smile that doesn't quite reach her eyes. "We will see… if I can handle the pressure.""Hey," I reassure her, touching her arm gently. "You're Natasha Reynolds. You can do anything.""Thanks, Lex," she says again, more softly this time. She turns away, and I feel a pang of guilt for not being able to support her as much as I wish I could right now.“Dad,” she says softly as she looks at Noland and he gets closer to her. “I will keep in touch.”With that, Natasha walks away and she leaves me and Noland alone in the room with my mother. The sterile smell of the hospital hits me as Noland and I sit side by side in the room. *Noland's POV*I can't help but replay the conversation with Lexie in my mind as I sit in the armchair by the window from my hotel room, gazing out at the city below. I am torn between my pride and the undeniable urge to be there for her during this difficult time. I know she spoke out of fear. Her green eyes shimmering with unshed tears haunt me, and I find it increasingly difficult to focus on anything else.Dragging myself away from the window, I force myself to attend to the work waiting for me. Phone calls and online meetings fill the hours, each task an attempt to distract myself from thoughts of Lexie. My fingers hover over the phone, wanting to call her, but my pride holds me back, she is old enough to know what she has done. The incessant buzzing of my phone - Avery's name displayed on the screen - breaks my concentration. She has been trying to reach me all morning, but I have no desire to talk to her. The trust that once held our partnership together has begun to fray,

Floor-to-ceiling windows provide a breathtaking view of the city skyline, while plush furniture and expensive artwork create a sense of elegance that seems to border on decadence."Make yourself comfortable," Noland says gently, sensing my awe. His deep blue eyes seem to hold secrets that both intrigue and scare me."Thank you," I manage to stammer out, still feeling out of my element in this lavish setting. My gaze falls upon a grand piano nestled in one corner of the room, its ivory keys gleaming beneath the soft glow of a chandelier.Noland guides me through the expansive suite towards the spacious bathroom, complete with a free-standing clawfoot tub that beckons me as an oasis amidst this world of luxury. Though I once thought she could be just a dangerous toy to play with, now I feel like I don’t want to let her go. She is perfect for me. The risk was worth taking.“Stand up,” I say calmly, and smile as she shivers but does what I ask. “Open your legs for me, Lexie,” and as she does, I guide her to straddle my leg. “Do you feel this?”She nods quickly. “Y-yes.”I rest both of my hands on her hips and begin to rock her, causing her wet pussy to rub against the fabric of my pants. “You better leave this fabric soaking, I don’t expect anything less.”Her moan is a song for my ears, and I feel my cock twitch already at the pleasure of watching her press herself against me, pleasuring herself while she pleases me. *Natasha's POV*The soft morning light filters through the white curtains, casting a warm glow over my studio. Swatches of vibrant fabric drape over tables and chairs, creating a kaleidoscope of colors that reflect my vision for the upcoming fashion show. I'm surrounded by sketches pinned to every available surface, serving as blueprints for what I hope will be my greatest triumph.Yet my mind goes back to what I saw in New York; dad holding Lexie made my vision blur for a moment, and maybe I did not know how to react, but as I am processing it all, my stomach is twisted. My dad, and Lexie. It doesn’t make sense. How? At what time? When did it all happen?‘Come on, Tasha, focus, we have a show to run,’ I tell myself and force myself to focus my attention into the task at hand.My fingers dance over the delicate fabrics, feeling the textures that I've come to know so intimately. *Lexie’s POV*I slowly open my eyes and am immediately met with a sense of calm that washes over me. Noland's body is pressed against mine, his strong arm draped protectively around my waist. His steady breaths are like a soothing melody, lulling me back to sleep if I let them. But I can't; there's something electric in the air between us.This is the first time I wake up next to him, my body still humming with all the pleasure it felt thanks to his skilled ministrations. I remember how Thomas wanted to be dominant with me always, but his type of dominance was brute and senseless, while Noland’s is so natural, so easy to follow. I crave for exploring more of this darker side of him."Morning," Noland whispers, his deep blue eyes flickering open and locking onto mine. It feels as if he's peering straight into my soul, and it both terrifies and exhilarates me."Good morning," I reply, my voice barely audible as I feel the heat rise to my cheeks. Noland stands near us, his imposing presence somehow reassuring even though I know he's struggling with his own turmoil. Carol paces back and forth, wringing her hands as she anxiously waits with us."Any news?" As much as I want answers too, seeing her so vulnerable is unsettling. Two police officers stand guard outside Daniel's hospital room, their eyes constantly scanning the area. They look stern and serious, ready to prevent any attempts at escape. The sight of them only adds to the anxiety weighing on all of us.Finally, a doctor approaches us, looking weary yet composed. "I need your help with something.""Of course, what do you need?" Sussie asks, her eyes flicking to Eleanor, who sits in the corner, a disapproving scowl etched onto her face."Could you stay with Robert while I finalize the details for my show tomorrow? *Lexie’s POV*I pace back and forth outside Robert's room. Lately I have started to worry about so many things, like the possibility that Thomas contacted someone and made that shooting, and if that is true, it means this is all my fault, amplifying my growing feeling of nausea. My vision blurs, and I have to grip the wall for support."Miss Montgomery?" A kind-faced nurse approaches me with concern etched on her face. "You don't look so good.""J-just a little dizzy," I stutter, trying to steady myself. My legs feel like jelly beneath me."Here, sit down." The nurse guides me to a nearby chair, her warm hand on my shoulder providing some comfort. "I can check your vitals if you'd like. Have you been eating? Drinking enough water?"I nod weakly, but my mind races. Sure, I've been stressed, but this feels different – more intense. The nurse raises an eyebrow, clearly not convinced by my response. "And I've asked Chris to assign a new security agent – Max – to keep an eye on both of you while we're gone. You need to be safe, I don’t trust anyone now."Sussie nods, her sunshine personality temporarily clouded by the weight of the situation. "Thank you, dad.
