Theodore's POV
'Gosh! What have I gotten myself into? I can't believe I agreed to this! What was I even thinking?'I mutter under my breath as I step my feet down the aisle of the large single-decker sleeper bus already filled with a lot of girls and guys.I feel my hands and legs tremble as I sense myself getting stares from the people already seated on either side. With a heavily thudding heart, I scurry to the back of the bus, keeping my gaze on the dark vinyl flooring. Finally, I find an empty seat towards the back. I quickly haul my luggage bag off my shoulder and slump down on the window seat, placing the bag beside me.Once I fish my phone out of my pocket and check my hair and face in the camera, making sure everything's alright, I let out a sigh and lean back against the seat, pulling up the neck of my top a little.I think I quite look like a girl now. But the boobs, I think they are a little bigger than what was necessary. Maybe that's why all the guys were staring at me when I walked down the aisle. I had told Johny I don't wanna wear those pads and I'd rather go with a flat chest. But he said it was the perfect size and I looked more girly with it.But it's so uncomfortable. I wonder how girls manage it? Anyway, now I can't take it off and I have to bear this for the next three days as a lot of people already saw me like this.I just hope nobody finds out that I'm a boy! Gosh! And I hope we all get single rooms. Although I first thought it would be nice to share a room with a girl, now I feel so nervous. What will happen if my roommate finds out I'm a boy? Then everybody will know! Our principal, teachers, my classmates, everyone! I can't even imagine what will happen to me after that. No! Okay, nobody's gonna know. It's just three days. I can easily pull it off!Right now I just hope nobody will come and sit near me. The bus has more than 50 seats and only one student each from 36 schools across our state is participating in this camp. So, I guess I don't need to worry so much right now. There are many empty seats in the front. Nobody is going to come to me.Talking about me, my name is Theodore Reigns. I'm 16, about to enter Junior year in two months when the school reopens after summer break. But to be honest, right now I think it's highly unlikely cause I'm here attending this three day Art camp for next year's senior students, that too in disguise as Elena Griffin, Eastwood's best artist, and so if I get caught, I guess I won't have to go to school again.Anyway, I'm not that good at school, average at studies, not in any sports teams. But there's one thing I'm good at, that nobody at school knows. I can draw. I make graphic cartoon sketches. Apparently, I am a comic artist, drawing for a few broke authors. You could say, that's the main reason for my current predicament. At school, I haven't really got any friends. I joined Eastwood High during the middle of 9th grade. Before that, I was in Japan with my mother where I lived all my life. So, when I came here for the first time, everything felt different. People seemed hostile. Also, at that time, I just wanted to be left alone, so I didn't attempt to make any friends or didn't try to join any clubs or sports teams. When I finally felt like I needed some friends, nobody wanted to talk to me. So, I continued to be alone, and I guess it will be like that until I graduate.By the way, my cousins Johny and Esther study in the same school. They both are a year older than me and will be joining sixth form college next year. Johny is totally different from me, large and heavily built. He is in the basketball team and he and his whole gang think I'm a nerd. So, he doesn't talk to me at school. But if he needs some favour from me, like writing his assignments and doing his art projects, he comes straight to my home.I know it all, he is just using me. But, still, every time he asks me something, I can't say no. Maybe it’s because I'm a little scared of him. I don’t want him to turn against me. This time, however, it was because he promised me something that I desperately needed right now. I hope he'll keep his word.Suddenly my phone vibrates in my hands. As expected it's Johny's message.'Hey, is everything alright?''Yeah, but everyone was staring at me,' I text him back.'It's only cause you look really gorgeous as a girl. Even better than my gf.'I roll my eyes, reading his text. He has been saying it since the moment I got dressed up in Elena's sweatshirt and jeans and the brown wig he got me similar to her hair colour. His girlfriend even did makeup on my face and threaded my eyebrows.I don't know why the hell I'm letting them do this to me and taking such a big risk when I'm not even sure Johny will keep his word.I guess I wanted to do an adventure. I thought it would be fun. But now I'm feeling too nervous.'Nobody will find out buddy. Just make sure you don't talk to anyone in your real voice. Text you later. Enjoy with the girls ;)'I leave a sigh and plug in my earphones before looking out of the window, watching the shops and buildings pass across my eyes.Suddenly our bus comes to a halt in front of a bus stop. I see a girl and a guy standing there with big luggage bags. I quickly lean back on the seat and close my eyes, pretending to be asleep.A few seconds later, I hear a few gasps and giggles inside the bus. "Gosh! He is so handsome." one of the girls on the seat behind me mutters. I feel an urge to open my eyes, but I don't.Then I hear footsteps coming towards me."Hey.."It was a girl's voice."Hello.." another girl says. The voice came from the seat across from me. "I know you. You are from Cypress Girls' High. Andrea Sharpe, right?""Yeah, how do you know me?" The first girl asks in a surprised voice. "Wait, have we met before?""No, we haven't. But I came to your school for a competition last month and saw your photo on the noticeboard among the school toppers."Before I can listen to any more of the girls’ talk, I once again hear footsteps coming toward me and gasps erupt from the seats behind me. A moment later a guy's deep voice sounds beside me."Hey.."I soon realise he is trying to wake me up. Soon I feel a small pat on my shoulder and I feel my heart pounding fast. But I still don't open my eyes. He taps my arm again whilst shuffling my luggage bag on the seat beside me.Oh c'mon, please go sit somewhere else. There are a lot of seats in the front. Why do you want to sit hear itself? The next moment, I feel him pick up my heavy bag from the seat and I open my eyes to see him smoothly placing it on the luggage rack above us, as if it was just a cotton sack. He was so tall that he could easily reach up to the rack."Oh, you finally woke up?" He grins looking down at me. Only then do I notice his face and my jaw almost drops open in awe.Wait! Is he really Adonis Elsher? The tall handsome dude with tousled dark hair and bright blue eyes slumps down beside me and raises an eyebrow at me, probably noticing my surprised expression. "Do you know me?" He asks me as I don't speak anything. I shake my head and immediately turn my face, looking out of the window. I hear him let out a chuckle. Yeah, I know him. He is Adonis Elsher, the Basketball captain of Cypress Boys High. Their school always wins Basketball matches and it's mostly because of him. A few months ago, they came to our school for a match and they got the cup. But I really didn't expect him in this Art camp. I didn't think a guy like him would be good at drawing. "Hey, what's your name?" He leans forward on the seat, looking at my face. Gosh! Why does he want to know my name? I'm already having a bad feeling that he is going to catch me in the act. I pretend like I don't hear him because of the music in my ear. I had actually paused it earlier to hear the girls talk. And the next moment,
"Hey! Are you all sleeping?"Mr Alberty, the Art teacher from Merganzel public school and the one among the two teachers in charge of our camp asks through the microphone, making everyone stir in their seats. "C'mon, wake up all of you. We'll be at Hondbill National Park in five minutes. Hey there! Wake the one sleeping beside you."There was nobody beside me. Adonis was still in the back with the dudes."Guys, before we reach there, I'd like to give you a few quick instructions although I'm sure you've been instructed enough from your schools," Mr Alberty clears his throat when everyone finally stirs awake. "Like in the brochure, we are staying tonight at the Blue Hills Hotel fifteen minutes away from the southern entrance of the park. To reach there, we'll have to walk a little and climb a few steps from where our bus is going to stop. So, every one be together. Don't get lost.""Once we reach there, rooms will be alloted to all of you. We are 38 in total, 15 boys, 21 girls and th
"Hey! I'm going to go join Andrea's table. You coming with me?" Adonis says as I turn around after I get my dinner from the counter. I thought he already left but he was actually standing there, waiting for me. I look at Andrea's table and it was already filled with a lot of girls and guys. I shake my head, "there's no space there." "C'mon there's enough space for four more!" He says and grabs my wrist, taking me aback. "W..Wait!" I gasp in shock. But he keeps walking, dagging me along with him, totally ignoring my protest. "Hey, can we join you guys?" He asks when we reach near the table, earning a hard glare from his crush. "Oh sure, c'mon," the girls all smile brightly and starts moving their chairs to make space for him. He smiles back at them and finally frees my hand before placing his food and drink on the table. I watch as he go off and quickly snatch two chairs from around the nearby table. He manages to thrust one of the chairs right opposite to Andrea in between two
Adonis' POV "What?! Online!? What is she doing online at 1 am? Who might be she chatting with?" Ah! This girl! I lost the mood to read. I close the comiXology website where I had just started reading a new comic, along with all of the other tabs in the background before placing my phone near my pillow. With a sigh, I close my eyes and try to sleep, but it seems like I won't be able to get any sleep today. Why is she playing too hard to catch? Does she actually hate me? But, what did I do? I mean all the girls seem to like me, except her. Why only her? What should I do now to make her fall for me? I roll on to my stomach and squirm my face into the pillow, feeling frustrated. I came here just to spend time with her but she is mad at me for coming. It's been a month already. I think I'll have to give up on her, if she doesn't like me back even after this camp. "I'm..I'm sorry." Wait! What's that? Is she talking in her sleep? I roll on to my back and sit up on the bed, only to f
Theodore's POV He is actually nice. Thank God, he decided to not tell anyone! I really though it was all over. I leave a sigh, turning off the tap and patting my face dry with my towel. Looking at myself in the mirror, I wonder how he found out. Johny and Elena said nobody was going to get any suspicion. Now will everyone else find out the truth tomorrow? I'm scared. Shall I run off from here? But that too won't help now! "Hey little one, are you done yet?" "Yeah, coming.." I shout back to Adonis. Why the hell is he calling me little one? I'm only an year younger than him. Letting out a sigh, I open the door and step out of the bathroom to see the two beds now pushed together in the centre and Adonis sitting right in the middle, with his phone in his hands. He stares at my face as I looks at him confused "Why did you push them together?" I ask. "Oh..it's.." he flashes me a sly smile. "Now that we are both boys, I thought it was okay. And you seemed to be having a nightmare ea
Theodore's POV "Hey..! Hey..! Wake up little one. It's 6." Who is little one? I try to move my limbs but I can't. A heavy weight is holding me in place. I let out a groan and rub my face against the pillow. But the pillow strangely feels hard and it beats like a drum. And then I hear someone laugh while somebody runs their fingers through my hair, softly strocking it. "Mom!" I flinch open my eyes. "I'm not your mom." "Shit!" "That's the first thing you say after waking up, Theodore?" Adonis frowns at me and then stares into my eyes. "W..What?" "Your eyes look brighter in the morning." "Uh...oh.." He likes my eyes? But he got such alluring blue eyes! I stare back at his eyes and he smiles at me, strocking my hair again. "You know what, you really are a hard sleeper. You didn't even hear the alarm. Are you always like this or today you got particularly comfy that you didn't want to wake up?" "No! It's not! L..leave me," I struggle against his chest, trying to free myself.
Adonis's POV Trees, grass, hills, it's all green! It's green all around! And the green is suddenly intoxicating me. It all reminds me of last night. Two bright green orbs underneath thick brown eyelashes. But it's blue now. Blue similar to mine, blue like Andreas. And it looks dull! "What are you looking at? Is my contacts and hair alright?" A worried frown takes over his features. "Yeah...you're looking fine," I say and tilt my face, looking at the far away green hills. What the heck is wrong with me?! "Adonis.." he whispers. "Hmm.." I turn my head back to look at him. "Look, your crush is holding hands with that guy." "Who? Which guy?" I say and look in front to see Andrea and Shane Spencer holding hands. "How dare he!" "Shh..quiet!" The little one beside me giggles. I look at him to take in the joyous sight of deep dimples forming on his cheeks. "C'mon..I need your help now!" I grab his hand and starts walking briskly to catch up with Andrea. "Wait! Wait! I'm not prep
Adonis' POV "Adonis, there's space beside Andrea. Why don't you go and sit near her?" Theo whispers to me, leaning sideways, his long wavy brown wig tickling my arm. "I don't want to," I shake my head. "Why?" He frowns. "Cause, she is a great artist and I can't draw that well. I might feel uncomfortable sitting and drawing beside her." "I see.." he chuckles. "So you really cheated in the competition!" "What about you? What are you going to do now? Can you at least draw a hill?" I ask him. "I can!" He claims rather confidently. "Okay let's see. If your portrait is better that mine, I'll do anything you say." "Okay.." he nods with a mischievous smile on his lips before he averts his eyes to his drawing sheet. Can he actually draw? But he can't be better than me, right? I stare at the lake infront of me and the distant hills behind it. We were on the banks of Lake Pryor which runs through the national park and we were all given the task of capturing the wonderful scenery in a
1 month later Adonis's POV "Before announcing the names of the four who got selected into the team this year, I want to say a huge thanks to all nine of you who participated in the tryouts," Our Coach Mr Nelson says with a big smile on his face. "Your dedication, hard work, and passion for the game have been truly inspiring. I honestly wish to take all of you in the team but since there is a limit for the number of players, we can only select the best four. That doesn't mean your effort and determination have gone unnoticed. Remember that this is just one moment in your basketball journey, and there will be many more opportunities ahead. Keep working hard, stay focused, and continue to improve your skills. Your time will come." I feel anxious as I see Theo nod to the coach whilst biting his lips, standing in the middle of the row of nine boys who came for tryouts. He looks really nervous. I know he will cry if he doesn't get selected. The whole last month, he practised really hard.
Theodore's POV "Baby, are you tired?" Adonis asks me after we practice dribbling, passing and shooting for an hour. "Not really," I say and shoot the ball, aiming at the hoop but it fails to go through it. I leave a sigh and turn to Adonis. "Why can't I still do it?" "Look, Little one, basketball isn't something you master in a week. I've been playing for years and sometimes even I fail to score a basket. You're just being over-ambitious right now," he says in a scolding tone, making me pout. "Gosh, Theo! Now don't look at me like that! I feel like kissing you!" he says and comes towards me, making my heart pound faster. I thought he'd kiss me. But he only cups my face with his both hands and stares into my eyes. "Listen, you'll get better with practice. Be proud that you're already this good with just one week's practice." I nod to him and lean in kissing his beautiful lips. They slowly spread into a gentle smile against mine. "Did you already forget your Dad's ground rule?" H
Adonis's POV My jaw almost drops open as Theo opens the door to his gaming room. "Damn!" Adrien mutters behind me. I can't even get any words to utter. I was seriously stunned seeing the huge luxury gaming room and the way it was set up. The room was a splash of blue and purple with RGB lights on the walls around installed game shelves. The ceiling looked like it was made up of clouds. There were two gaming PCs and in front of them were the perfect gaming chairs. Among other accessories was a comfy leather couch laid against the walls opposite the computers and near it was a mini fridge just an arm's reach away. This was really a gamer's dream room. "C'mon. What do you guys wanna play?" Theo asks stepping into the room and going to one of the computers. I and Adrien follow him behind in a daze. "This is seriously sick!" Adrien mutters, looking around the room with widened eyes as Theo boots the computer. Adrien was at first reluctant to come to Theo's house. But now it s
Theodore's POV "Theo, why was that Harry smiling at you so much during PE?" Adonis asks me as soon as I sit down with my lunch opposite him and Adrien. Adrien instantly starts giggling. "Theo, do you like Harry?" He asks me in between fits of laughter as if to tease Adonis. "Shut up, Ad!" Adonis smacks his hands playfully, only causing Adrien to giggle more. I can't help but smile looking at them. "Theo, what was Harry telling you?" Adonis looks at me again. "He was just asking me if you and I are dating," I reply, grabbing my fork. "Oh! And??" He asks. "I said I'm just friends with you both," I say and start having my spaghetti. "Oh, why?" Adrien asks. "You could have said you guys are dating, now that your Dad is okay with it." "Dad is okay with it. But I don't think my stepmom and other family members will be so accepting like him. And Adonis' parents also don't know," I reply whilst munching on a meatball. "I'll tell my parents soon," Adonis says. "They'll hopefully
Theodore's POV "Wait!" I tilt my face and look at Dad, withdrawing my hand from the car door handle. He had just parked the car in front of my new school and I was about to hop out. "I need to tell you a few things," Dad says with a serious expression on his face. I nod to him, quietly. "Why did we join this school?" He asks. I look at him confused. "Uhm...to study?" "Yeah, to study," he says. "So better concentrate on your studies. Don't be distracted by other matters." "I won't. I will study hard," I say while wondering what he actually meant by distraction. "And I don't want to be called to the school unless there is a parents meeting." I again nod to him, obediently. He lets out a chuckle. "Theodore, I'm not worried you'd enter into any fights or get into any bad boy gang in this school or pick up any bad habits. I know you wouldn't. What I mean is, absolutely no naughty business inside the school campus. Don't let anyone catch you kissing anyone or doing any such
Adonis's POV “Ah..Aiden...just let me sleep for some more time,” I groan and squirm uncomfortably, yanking away Aiden's hands. He was shaking me roughly, using all his strength while yelling my name. “C'mon, wake up, Adony! It's already late!” "Go away, Aiden! I wanna sleep," I say and hug my pillow, squirming my face into it. "No, get up! You agreed to come when I asked you yesterday. So, c'mon," Aiden says yanking down my blanket and grabbing hold of my wrist. “Aiden...ahh...leave me! It's sunday. I'm not coming," I say, opening my eyes a little and noticing he is already wearing his tracksuit and sneakers. "Look, I have early morning practice from tomorrow onwards. Today's the only day I can sleep peacefully before school reopens,” I whine, pulling my hands back. But he has an iron grip on my wrist and he keeps pulling me forward. So, I at last, bite his arm. He yelps, instantly withdrawing his hand and I smirk, pulling up my covers. "That's it! I'm telling Dad and Mom ab
Theodore's POV "Congrats Theodore, your hand is all fine now," Dr Jones smiles at me while gently rubbing my arm. But I can't make myself smile, looking at the dry skin of my swollen arm. I thought to give Adonis a surprise today. That's why I didn't tell him yesterday, I'm getting rid of the cast before I go to Cypress for admission. But now I don't think he'll be so happy seeing my arm. It actually looked better inside the cast. "It's okay, the swelling will go away in a few days. Don't look so sad," Dr Jones says, smiling even broadly, trying to cheer me up. "Hmm...okay," I look up and give him a smile. "Your son is so cute, Daniel," Dr Jones says, turning to my Dad who was staring at my arm with a frown. Dr Jones is his best friend from high school. "Do you have any ointment or cream to reduce the dryness?" Dad asks him. "Yeah, I'll prescribe an ointment," he says and looks back at me. Then he gives me advice on washing my hands properly, using moisturizer liberally and mas
Adonis's POV I flinch open my eyes to the calling bell ringing loudly downstairs. I had just drifted off into a nap after coming back home tired after basketball practice. We had 3 hours of practice from 9 to 12 today. Who might it be? Adrien?? No, we had lunch together and he said he has a class in the afternoon at the summer school. Maybe it's one of Aiden's friends. I close my eyes and I'm just about to drift back into sleep when I hear Aiden shout my name from downstairs. "Adony! Adony! Adonyyyy!!" "Haa...Aiden!" I shout back. "Yaaa...come downstairs. Some kid with a broken arm is asking to see you." Shit! I jump up from the bed and sprint out of my room to see Aiden interrogating Theo downstairs. "You are really his friend? What was your name again?" Aiden questions him with a frown while I'm dashing downstairs. "Theodore!" I squeal, making Aiden turn around and look at me with the same frown. "Adony, is he your friend?" He asks me. "Oh..yeah...er..he is my junior. He
Theodore's POV "Theodore!" Miss Brown calls my name, frantically barging into my room, pushing open the door after hurriedly knocking just once. I quickly sit up from the bed where I have been comfortably lying between my pillows, texting Adonis after having breakfast. "Your Dad is very angry. Like really angry! He is calling you. Come downstairs immediately." "What's wrong?" I ask, feeling a tremor run down my body. "I don't know. He got a call from someone and he suddenly got angry. Please come down quickly," she says and turns around hurriedly leaving my room. I look at my phone screen to see Adonis's last message. 'Baby, I'll call you later. Break is over. Gotta go." He was texting me in between his basketball practice. With shivering fingers, I text him an 'okay' and place the phone aside. I feel my knees tremble as I crawl out of the bed and slowly walk out of the room. Did someone see me and Adonis together in the art gallery and inform Dad?! Or what if it's a
