Adonis' POV
"What?! Online!? What is she doing online at 1 am? Who might be she chatting with?"Ah! This girl! I lost the mood to read.I close the comiXology website where I had just started reading a new comic, along with all of the other tabs in the background before placing my phone near my pillow. With a sigh, I close my eyes and try to sleep, but it seems like I won't be able to get any sleep today. Why is she playing too hard to catch? Does she actually hate me? But, what did I do?I mean all the girls seem to like me, except her. Why only her? What should I do now to make her fall for me?I roll on to my stomach and squirm my face into the pillow, feeling frustrated. I came here just to spend time with her but she is mad at me for coming. It's been a month already. I think I'll have to give up on her, if she doesn't like me back even after this camp."I'm..I'm sorry."Wait! What's that?Is she talking in her sleep?I roll on to my back and sit up on the bed, only to feel goosebumps littering all over my body. Cause it was a guy's sound! And he was whispering 'I'm sorry' again and again! They didn't say this room was haunted!I quickly fall back on the bed and close my eyes tightly, pulling the blankets up over my face, but the same voice keeps apologising making me tremble. My heart is beating fast and I feel like I'm about to have a heart attack. At last, gathering all my courage, I open my mouth and shout."Stop it ghost! What are you sorry about? You are already dead! Go to hell!""No! Please don't dismiss me! I won't do something like this again. I'm sorry!""No! I am dismissing you! You have no place here. Go back!"And the ghost suddenly starts sobbing. What the fuck! Do ghosts actually cry? Wait! Is it actually a ghost? With trembling fingers, I grab my phone and switch the flashlight on before turning it towards the other bed. And the sobs were actually coming from there. Elena seemed to be sobbing in her sleep! Is she crying cause she also heard the ghost or was she actually the one talking earlier? But it was really a male voice!Wait! Is she a boy?I slowly crawl out of the bed and switch on the lights before walking towards her bed. She has covered herself fully with a blanket, even her face. As I reach near, the sobs ceases, making me more nervous.I didn't know whether to expect my roommate's face or a scary ghost's face underneath the blanket. I prepare for the worst and mustering all my courage, stretch my hand and pull off the blanket from her head.Phew! It's only her.And she was sleeping peacefully like a baby, except for her wet eyelashes.I bend down and look under her bed. There was no one there. I then look around the room and quickly check inside the wardrobe and bathroom, making sure nobody except the two of us is inside the room.So it was her talking earlier!I walk back to her bed and stare at her face, feeling confused. Maybe she just got a male voice that comes out only when she gets scared??Her face does look a bit masculine. Wait! Is she wearing makeup? I move a bit closer to take a better look and she sure is wearing makeup. It's then I suddenly notice something! Her hair is fake! The bangs has slipped off on one side, revealing darker-coloured hair.Wow! Is she actually a boy? What about her uhm...tits? I slowly pull down the blanket a bit more and press my hand on her boobs. She didn't have any response and the tits felt like sponge.Wow! This is hilarious!I couldn't help but burst into laughter and pull off the brown wig from his head, revealing his original black hair.Gosh! This is just so ridiculous and hilarious!I laugh out loud looking at the brown mass of hair in my hand.I look back at his face and he has finally woke up. A panicked expression sits on his face."Oh my Gosh! I can't believe this! Wow! Just wow!" I laugh at him dropping the wig on the floor and clapping my hands. "Now tell me, who are you?" He looks too shocked to even utter a word."Okay, I'll first call the teachers. Wait a minute," I say and go to grab my phone from my bed."No! Please..." he says in a panicked voice.I turn back and laugh at him. "Dude, what else should I do? You're clearly an imposter. And I caught you. I need to report you. It's great I got Mr Alberty's number earlier!""Please don't call him. Listen to me..Adonis, please..""Oh yes! I'll first click a few photos of you before I call everyone," I say and go back to him, opening my camera."Say cheese!" I chuckle and start clicking his photos while he try to cover his face with his hands. "Hey, don't do that, little girl! Show me your pretty face."And suddenly he starts crying. "It's not like I- I wanted to do this.""What do you mean?" I look back at his face, only for him to start sobbing like a baby. It's then I notice he looks really young. And he is actually kind of cute."How old are you?" I ask him."Seventeen," he sobs."Seventeen? Really? You don't look like you are seventeen. Don't lie now.""I-I will really turn seventeen in a few months.""Okay, so you are still sixeen. What's your name?""Theo..Theodore.""Okay Theo, are you actually a student of Eastwood?""Yes.." he hiccups, tears rolling freely down his rosy cheeks, making me kind of sorry. He looked like a scared little puppy. No, he actually looked like a scared little teddy bear. He had a tiny cute mole on the side of his right eye. And then I notice something else. He is wearing contacts. His blue eyes are also fake!"Take those contacts off," I tell him. For some reason, I wanted to see his real eye colour. I guess it's probably brown. He nods to me and takes the lens out from his left eye to reveal beautiful green eyes, just like the forest!I felt impatient, waiting for him to take off the contacts from the other eye and when he finally did, I was almost taken aback, staring at those mesmerizing forest green orbs. This boy was breathtakingly beautiful! His long thick eyelashes were wet. I bend a little and stretch my hands to pluck them off. But soon he winces in pain."It's real?" I ask him. He nods."Wow! I haven't seen such long eyelashes in a boy." I mumble and move away.He blinks his eyes and another tear bead, slithers down the corner of his left eye."Are you gonna be in Grade 11?" I ask him. He nods his head."Okay, stop crying little one and explain everything," I say and sit down on the edge of his bed, taking a closer look at his green eyes. "Why are you disguised as Elena? Is there actually a girl called Elena at your school?""Yes..she is the best artist at school. She..she got selection for this camp.""She got brown hair and blue eyes?" I raise my eyebrows."Yes.." he nods. He was really looking like a scared little bear and it was too cute."And you were accusing me of cheating earlier," I chuckle. He glances at my face and quickly looks down, biting his bottom lip. "Are you going to tell the teachers?""I should. Shouldn't I?""No.." he shakes his head and looks up at me again."Why?" I ask. He looks at me with pleading doe eyes. I couldn't help but smile and pat his soft locks. He shivers a little at my touch."Please don't report me. I'll tell you everything.""Okay let me think. So, why are you here instead of Elena?""She is Johny's girl friend and she and Johny wanted to go on a trip together but her parents wouldn't..""Wait, who is Johny?""He is my cousin.""Oh okay. So, her parents wouldn't let her go on a trip with him, so they decided to use this opportunity, making you attend this camp disguised as her, right?""Yeah.." he nods his head, vigorously."And why would you agree to such a stupid plan?""I- I don't know. I..""So, where do your parents think you are?""They think I'm with Johny and his friends on a trip.""Wonderful!" I let out a sigh. "I think I should report this," I say and get up from the bed."No..no..please.." he suddenly grabs my arm."Look Theo, this is serious. I don't know what your cousin is doing with that girl right now. Her parents believe she is here. What if something happens to her? And anyway you're soon going to be caught. So, it's better I report this soon," I say removing his hands from my wrist. But then again tears start welling up in his eyes."Johny likes her. He won't do anything to her. She will be safe."I leave a sigh and sit back on the bed. "We can't be sure.""If you report this, I'll be dismissed from school and then they'll send me to some boarding school. They already hates me," he sobs."What?" I frown. "What do you mean?" I was confused. Who apparently hates this beautiful innocent boy?"My Dad and stepmother hates me. They'll be so mad if they know this," he says and another trail of tears make their way down his cheeks. I suddenly feel a pang in my heart, seeing him cry like that."Gosh! Stop crying. If you knew you'd be in so much trouble, why did you even agree to such a risky thing?""If I don't do it, Johny and his friends will bully me.""He bullies you?" I frown at him. "Why can't you just tell your Dad?""He doesn't like me. He likes Johny more.""Oh c'mon, he is your Dad and he has the responsibility to protect you. And why would he like your cousin more than you?""Because..." he hiccups. "Cause I never lived with him. I was with my mother in Japan. But Johny has been around him all the while. He is more like his son," he breathes heavily and looks down at his lap."So, where's your mother now?" I ask.His lips tremble. "She is dead."Shit! My heart skip a beat seeing him trying to control himself from breaking out into further tears. Seems like he is still not out of the trauma of his mother's death.I didn't know how to react. "I'm sorry," I say and move a bit closer to him, patting him gently on his back. That only causes the tears to break free and cascade down his cherub cheeks.Ahh..this is so tragic!I couldn't make myself to ask him what happened to his mother or when she died. But I ask him, "How long is it since you're living with your Dad?""One and a half years," he mumbles.Oh! So, it's only a little while since his mother died.Looking at the kid, I wanted to somehow comfort him, but I didn't know how."Can't you please report me? I promise I won't cause you any trouble," he says biting down on his bottom lip.Ahh! What do I do? This is messed up!"Okay, I'm not telling anyone."He instantly looks up at me and gives me a tight lipped smile. "Thank you, Adonis," he says and wipes away the tears with his fist."Hmm..you're welcome," I leave another sigh. "Now, go wash all that make up off. It's all ruined and you look awful.""Mm.." he suddenly giggles. It's then I notice he has beautiful dimples on his cheeks that pops out when he smiles. I can't help but keep looking at him in wonder as he happily crawls out of the bed, kicking off the blankets."Thank you so much, Adonis!" He smiles widely, showing those cute dimples again and suddenly hugs me, taking me aback. Then he pulls away rather awkwardly and runs off in direction of the bathroom.Theodore's POV He is actually nice. Thank God, he decided to not tell anyone! I really though it was all over. I leave a sigh, turning off the tap and patting my face dry with my towel. Looking at myself in the mirror, I wonder how he found out. Johny and Elena said nobody was going to get any suspicion. Now will everyone else find out the truth tomorrow? I'm scared. Shall I run off from here? But that too won't help now! "Hey little one, are you done yet?" "Yeah, coming.." I shout back to Adonis. Why the hell is he calling me little one? I'm only an year younger than him. Letting out a sigh, I open the door and step out of the bathroom to see the two beds now pushed together in the centre and Adonis sitting right in the middle, with his phone in his hands. He stares at my face as I looks at him confused "Why did you push them together?" I ask. "Oh..it's.." he flashes me a sly smile. "Now that we are both boys, I thought it was okay. And you seemed to be having a nightmare ea
Theodore's POV "Hey..! Hey..! Wake up little one. It's 6." Who is little one? I try to move my limbs but I can't. A heavy weight is holding me in place. I let out a groan and rub my face against the pillow. But the pillow strangely feels hard and it beats like a drum. And then I hear someone laugh while somebody runs their fingers through my hair, softly strocking it. "Mom!" I flinch open my eyes. "I'm not your mom." "Shit!" "That's the first thing you say after waking up, Theodore?" Adonis frowns at me and then stares into my eyes. "W..What?" "Your eyes look brighter in the morning." "Uh...oh.." He likes my eyes? But he got such alluring blue eyes! I stare back at his eyes and he smiles at me, strocking my hair again. "You know what, you really are a hard sleeper. You didn't even hear the alarm. Are you always like this or today you got particularly comfy that you didn't want to wake up?" "No! It's not! L..leave me," I struggle against his chest, trying to free myself.
Adonis's POV Trees, grass, hills, it's all green! It's green all around! And the green is suddenly intoxicating me. It all reminds me of last night. Two bright green orbs underneath thick brown eyelashes. But it's blue now. Blue similar to mine, blue like Andreas. And it looks dull! "What are you looking at? Is my contacts and hair alright?" A worried frown takes over his features. "Yeah...you're looking fine," I say and tilt my face, looking at the far away green hills. What the heck is wrong with me?! "Adonis.." he whispers. "Hmm.." I turn my head back to look at him. "Look, your crush is holding hands with that guy." "Who? Which guy?" I say and look in front to see Andrea and Shane Spencer holding hands. "How dare he!" "Shh..quiet!" The little one beside me giggles. I look at him to take in the joyous sight of deep dimples forming on his cheeks. "C'mon..I need your help now!" I grab his hand and starts walking briskly to catch up with Andrea. "Wait! Wait! I'm not prep
Adonis' POV "Adonis, there's space beside Andrea. Why don't you go and sit near her?" Theo whispers to me, leaning sideways, his long wavy brown wig tickling my arm. "I don't want to," I shake my head. "Why?" He frowns. "Cause, she is a great artist and I can't draw that well. I might feel uncomfortable sitting and drawing beside her." "I see.." he chuckles. "So you really cheated in the competition!" "What about you? What are you going to do now? Can you at least draw a hill?" I ask him. "I can!" He claims rather confidently. "Okay let's see. If your portrait is better that mine, I'll do anything you say." "Okay.." he nods with a mischievous smile on his lips before he averts his eyes to his drawing sheet. Can he actually draw? But he can't be better than me, right? I stare at the lake infront of me and the distant hills behind it. We were on the banks of Lake Pryor which runs through the national park and we were all given the task of capturing the wonderful scenery in a
Theodore's POV "C'mon Eric! They say you sing very well. C'mon, sing a song for us!" Mr Alberty calls out to Eric through the mike while Eric laughs and shakes his head, sitting beside me. "C'mon dude, don't be shy!" Some dude shouts. Another group of people start cheering for Eric. "E-ric! E-ric! E-ric! E-ric! E-ric! E-ric!" At last, Eric gets up from beside me, laughing. "Okay, okay calm down guys. I'll sing!" People cheer and clap and eventually, everyone goes silent as Eric gets the mike from Mr Alberty and goes to the center. He starts singing the song 'For You' and everybody queitly listens to him. He was actually singing pretty well. So, currently, we are all sitting around the night fire in an open ground, singing, dancing and playing games after having dinner. Earlier in the evening, we together made 14 tents for us to sleep at night and after that Mr Alberty and some guys together made the night fire in the center. Apparently, Eric is Adonis's tent mate tonight, togeth
Adonis's POV "Adonis, dude, are you awake?" Oh God! What the hell is wrong with this guy? What does he want now? "Hey, I know you aren't asleep. Listen, I need to ask you something," Eric says turning on his phone's flashlight and turning it in my direction. He was lying on his mattress and his face was barely visible to me in the flashlight. "What?" I let out a sigh. "Do you like Andrea?" "Why do you want to know?" I frown at him. "Because I'm confused if you like Elena." "I don't like her." "So, you like Andrea?" "Yeah.." He suddenly sits up. "Then dude, why are you playing with Elena?!" His tone was now angry. "I'm not playing with her!" I snap back. "Yes you are! You won't let anyone else come near her. What's your problem?" "Ah fuck! I can't sleep! Can you guys just fight tomorrow morning?" Stephen yells from his corner where I thought he had gone to sleep an hour ago. "Just a minute, bro. We both need to settle something," Eric tells him and looks back at me. "You
Theodore's POV Looking at the eastern skies, I stand quietly, overcome by a kind of tranquil sereneness. Atop the hills, facing the eastern skies, a pale gold light emerges first. Slowly the orange and yellow bright ball begins to appear. It rises higher and higher, very slowly, leading to a party of colors. The whole sight feels like the spell of a new hope. Beneath the hills and a couple of meters away from us, looking fresh yet foggy under the morning skies, lies a vast low lying pasture where a herd of elks are scattering in all directions, along with the spreading light. As the colours in the sky becomes more and more vibrant, I find myself in a soothing state of mind, excited to start the day. The sound of the birds chirping and the gentle breeze coming off the hills gives me goosebumps all over my body. One thing I realise, this camp has given me the opportunity to see and appreciate how wonderful nature is. "Hey!" I turn around to see Eric smiling at me. "You look overw
Adonis's POV "Sure, there are many ways that you can grip the paintbrush when painting, but there's this one method that every artist should know to get the most fluidity and sensitivity from each stroke," Mr Clark lectures whilst holding a paintbrush in his hands. "Look at how I'm holding the brush. You should hold the handle as far back as you can. This might feel uncomfortable at first, but it provides the greatest degree of control over the brush since it allows you to paint with your whole arm, not just your wrist..." I leave a sigh and place my paintbrush down, staring at the far away hills. This Clark guy is honestly good but I don't want to listen to his lecture right now. I'm not in the mood to learn oil painting currently. After all, I cheated and I'm no good at this stuff. I don't even want to look at these green hills right now. I just want to be back at home. I hate it here! I regret coming to this camp! I close my eyes for a moment and then slowly open it, only to s
