"Hey! I'm going to go join Andrea's table. You coming with me?" Adonis says as I turn around after I get my dinner from the counter. I thought he already left but he was actually standing there, waiting for me.

I look at Andrea's table and it was already filled with a lot of girls and guys. I shake my head, "there's no space there."

"C'mon there's enough space for four more!" He says and grabs my wrist, taking me aback.

"W..Wait!" I gasp in shock. But he keeps walking, dagging me along with him, totally ignoring my protest.

"Hey, can we join you guys?" He asks when we reach near the table, earning a hard glare from his crush.

"Oh sure, c'mon," the girls all smile brightly and starts moving their chairs to make space for him. He smiles back at them and finally frees my hand before placing his food and drink on the table.

I watch as he go off and quickly snatch two chairs from around the nearby table. He manages to thrust one of the chairs right opposite to Andrea in between two girls, soon victoriously slumping down on it, grinning broadly at her. Suppressing a groan, I quietly sit down beside a guy, three chairs away from Andrea and starts having my food.

"You know what, we got lost earlier," Adonis says, leaning forward and grinning at Andrea as if he is talking about winning a match or something.

"Yeah, how did it happen?" The blonde girl, Violet ask while Andrea keeps munching on her burger, totally ignoring him.

Adonis tilts his head and stares at me, making me stop chewing my food. "Her bag got stuck in the compartment and I was helping her pull it out. You all rushed here without waiting for us."

"Oh, we didn't know. I thought you guys went first. It was after we reached here, we figured out."

"Hmm..and because of that we have to share a room now," he says nonchalantly and takes a sip of his drink

"Wait what! You both are sharing a room? Really?" The guy who was sitting near me squeals in surprise.

"Yeah.." Adonis nods to him and lets out a chuckle before looking back at Andrea.

"Hey, why don't you speak anything? Are you really okay with it?" Violet turns to look at me. "Er..you look like you don't want to share a room with him."

"Uhm..it's okay. I'm fine with it," I give her a smile. "It's just for a night."

"You sure you're fine, right? If you're not, you can ask someone else to exchange rooms with you," Adonis says glancing at me for a brief second before fixing his gaze on Andrea.

"No, I'm fine," I shake my head. "But if you aren't, feel free to exchange rooms with someone else."

"Wow! That's cool! What's your name?" The guy sitting beside me laughs at me before turning his face to Adonis. "Dude, do you wanna exchange rooms with me?"

"What, you already got a crush on her?" Another guy says from the other side of the table, earning chuckles from the guys around the table. I look down at my plate and take a bite of the burger before starting to chew on it, feeling awkward and embarassed as the guys keep on teasing the guy beside me.

"Your name's Elena, right?" Some dude asks and I look up, briefly nodding my head. I notice the girls, especially Violet having an annoyed expression on her face.

"Oh what? You too want to exchange rooms now, Hudson?"

"Oh c'mon, stop it, guys! Don't you see, you are making her uncomfortable," a guy sitting on my opposite says, finally putting an end to the topic.

I hardly say anything during the rest of the dinner while everyone else chat about different stuff. However, I notice Adonis shamelessly staring at Andrea despite her giving him continuous glares.

Finally when the dinner is over, we are called to gather at the big ground behind the restaurant, layed with soft lawn. Soon the first camp meeting begins and we all sit back on the grass, listening to Mr Alberty's welcome speech. After that he asks us to introduce ourselves one by one.

This was one of the scariest parts, to speak through the microphone. I was nervous the whole time until my name was called. As I walked to the front to get the microphone from Miss Huxley, I could feel my hands and legs shivering. I cursed and once again scolded myself for signing up for this whole notorious thing as I faced the crowd. At last, taking a deep breath, I cleared my throat and began my introduction.

"My name is Elena Griffin. I'm from Eastwood high, Evinsville. I have a passion for drawing from childhood and I've always loved making portraits and sketches. I see drawing as a way of expressing emotions, a means to communicate and even to tell a story. I'm really excited to attend this camp. Thank you."

"That's all?" Mr Alberty asks. My hand holding the mike was still trembling violently. I nod to him and give it back to Miss Huxley before quickly scurrying off to where Adonis and the rest of our dinner group were sitting. Adonis was still sitting staring at his crush even in that dim light, grinning like a total idiot.

When the meeting ends, he quickly gets up and follow her, not bothering to wait for me. Only ours and the teachers' rooms were on the fifth floor, others had got their rooms on the third and fourth floor, so I had actually expected him to wait.

Leaving a sigh, I get up from the grass and follow my campmates who were loudly chatting while walking with their new roommates. Just as we are about to reach the elevator, my phone starts ringing in my pocket. I fish it out to see it is Johny calling.

I won't be able to attend the call after I get to my room. Adonis will already be there. So, I turn around and leave the crowd, walking back to the open ground. Once I am away from people, I call Johny back and he picks the call on the first ring.

"Hey, how is it going?" He asks anxiously from the other side of the line. "No issues, right?"

"Thankfully nobody has got any suspicion yet but.."

"But? Where are you? Nobody's listening, right?"

"No..I'm outside the lodge. Everyone has gone inside."

"Okay, if anyone's near, use your female voice. Yeah, what were you about to say?"

"I'm sharing rooms with a guy. You know him, Adonis Elsher."

"Adonis? You mean that guy from Cypress?"

"Yeah.."

"Wow! But why are you sharing a room with a guy instead of with girls?" He asks confused. I then tell him the whole situation that led to us sharing a room.

"What the heck, Theodore! How could you make such a mistake in the beginning itself? Seriously, how could you lose your way? What if they had called into Elena's phone and found out? Fuck! I think you'll ruin it!"

"Why are you cursing at me? It's not like I purposefully stuck my bag in the carrier. And this was your idea. Didn't I already tell you it's risky."

"It's not risky at all, if you could just be vigilant. You are being so careless."

"Then I'll just get a cab from here and come back right now," I scoff. I was getting really angry.

"Wow! Do you think they won't find out then? Theodore, if you don't want all of us to be damned, the only way is, you attend the camp and come back without giving anyone any suspicion. Can you just do that?"

I let out a sigh, totally regretting my decision to agree to this stupid plan.

"And remember, you will be the one facing the most consequences if we are caught," he says making me more furious. But I don't say anything. I hang up the call, feeling exasperated.

"Jerk! Asshole! I should have never agreed to this. This is the biggest mistake I ever made!"

I look up at the sky, trying to calm myself. The brightest star seemed to be watching over me. For the first time, I wished that star was not my mother.

After a few minutes, I turn around and walk back into the hotel.

When the elevator door opens at the fifth floor, there is somebody waiting anxiously infront of it. Soon his expression turns angry.

"Where were you? What the hell were you doing alone all this time, downstairs?" Adonis glares at me with a deep frown between his brows.

"What? Don't tell me you were worried," I say.

"Oh c'mon sweetheart, I just didn't have the keys to the room. You thought I'd be worried over you?"

"Sorry, I forgot that," I say and walk towards our room.

"Hey, why are you making that face?" He asks following me behind. I ignore him and keep walking.

"Are you angry?"

"Hey, are you pissed that I didn't wait for you?"

I just jab the key into the hole and twist it, opening the door.

"Okay, I was a bit worried when you didn't come back. I was about to go check for you downstairs."

"Okay.." I mumble and walk towards my bed.

"Uh...okay? Wait! you didn't answer my question. What were you doing alone downstairs?"

"I don't think I need to answer you," I say and lie back on the bed.

"Wow..what happened to you suddenly?" He slumps down on the other bed and takes off his shoes before lying back, looking up at the cealing and mumbling to himself, "Should I take a shower or not?"

Adonis' POV "What?! Online!? What is she doing online at 1 am? Who might be she chatting with?" Ah! This girl! I lost the mood to read. I close the comiXology website where I had just started reading a new comic, along with all of the other tabs in the background before placing my phone near my pillow. With a sigh, I close my eyes and try to sleep, but it seems like I won't be able to get any sleep today. Why is she playing too hard to catch? Does she actually hate me? But, what did I do? I mean all the girls seem to like me, except her. Why only her? What should I do now to make her fall for me? I roll on to my stomach and squirm my face into the pillow, feeling frustrated. I came here just to spend time with her but she is mad at me for coming. It's been a month already. I think I'll have to give up on her, if she doesn't like me back even after this camp. "I'm..I'm sorry." Wait! What's that? Is she talking in her sleep? I roll on to my back and sit up on the bed, only to f

Theodore's POV He is actually nice. Thank God, he decided to not tell anyone! I really though it was all over. I leave a sigh, turning off the tap and patting my face dry with my towel. Looking at myself in the mirror, I wonder how he found out. Johny and Elena said nobody was going to get any suspicion. Now will everyone else find out the truth tomorrow? I'm scared. Shall I run off from here? But that too won't help now! "Hey little one, are you done yet?" "Yeah, coming.." I shout back to Adonis. Why the hell is he calling me little one? I'm only an year younger than him. Letting out a sigh, I open the door and step out of the bathroom to see the two beds now pushed together in the centre and Adonis sitting right in the middle, with his phone in his hands. He stares at my face as I looks at him confused "Why did you push them together?" I ask. "Oh..it's.." he flashes me a sly smile. "Now that we are both boys, I thought it was okay. And you seemed to be having a nightmare ea

Theodore's POV "Hey..! Hey..! Wake up little one. It's 6." Who is little one? I try to move my limbs but I can't. A heavy weight is holding me in place. I let out a groan and rub my face against the pillow. But the pillow strangely feels hard and it beats like a drum. And then I hear someone laugh while somebody runs their fingers through my hair, softly strocking it. "Mom!" I flinch open my eyes. "I'm not your mom." "Shit!" "That's the first thing you say after waking up, Theodore?" Adonis frowns at me and then stares into my eyes. "W..What?" "Your eyes look brighter in the morning." "Uh...oh.." He likes my eyes? But he got such alluring blue eyes! I stare back at his eyes and he smiles at me, strocking my hair again. "You know what, you really are a hard sleeper. You didn't even hear the alarm. Are you always like this or today you got particularly comfy that you didn't want to wake up?" "No! It's not! L..leave me," I struggle against his chest, trying to free myself.

  • Summer Camp   8. Without me

Adonis's POV Trees, grass, hills, it's all green! It's green all around! And the green is suddenly intoxicating me. It all reminds me of last night. Two bright green orbs underneath thick brown eyelashes. But it's blue now. Blue similar to mine, blue like Andreas. And it looks dull! "What are you looking at? Is my contacts and hair alright?" A worried frown takes over his features. "Yeah...you're looking fine," I say and tilt my face, looking at the far away green hills. What the heck is wrong with me?! "Adonis.." he whispers. "Hmm.." I turn my head back to look at him. "Look, your crush is holding hands with that guy." "Who? Which guy?" I say and look in front to see Andrea and Shane Spencer holding hands. "How dare he!" "Shh..quiet!" The little one beside me giggles. I look at him to take in the joyous sight of deep dimples forming on his cheeks. "C'mon..I need your help now!" I grab his hand and starts walking briskly to catch up with Andrea. "Wait! Wait! I'm not prep

Adonis' POV "Adonis, there's space beside Andrea. Why don't you go and sit near her?" Theo whispers to me, leaning sideways, his long wavy brown wig tickling my arm. "I don't want to," I shake my head. "Why?" He frowns. "Cause, she is a great artist and I can't draw that well. I might feel uncomfortable sitting and drawing beside her." "I see.." he chuckles. "So you really cheated in the competition!" "What about you? What are you going to do now? Can you at least draw a hill?" I ask him. "I can!" He claims rather confidently. "Okay let's see. If your portrait is better that mine, I'll do anything you say." "Okay.." he nods with a mischievous smile on his lips before he averts his eyes to his drawing sheet. Can he actually draw? But he can't be better than me, right? I stare at the lake infront of me and the distant hills behind it. We were on the banks of Lake Pryor which runs through the national park and we were all given the task of capturing the wonderful scenery in a

Theodore's POV "C'mon Eric! They say you sing very well. C'mon, sing a song for us!" Mr Alberty calls out to Eric through the mike while Eric laughs and shakes his head, sitting beside me. "C'mon dude, don't be shy!" Some dude shouts. Another group of people start cheering for Eric. "E-ric! E-ric! E-ric! E-ric! E-ric! E-ric!" At last, Eric gets up from beside me, laughing. "Okay, okay calm down guys. I'll sing!" People cheer and clap and eventually, everyone goes silent as Eric gets the mike from Mr Alberty and goes to the center. He starts singing the song 'For You' and everybody queitly listens to him. He was actually singing pretty well. So, currently, we are all sitting around the night fire in an open ground, singing, dancing and playing games after having dinner. Earlier in the evening, we together made 14 tents for us to sleep at night and after that Mr Alberty and some guys together made the night fire in the center. Apparently, Eric is Adonis's tent mate tonight, togeth

"What?" I let out a sigh. "Do you like Andrea?" "Why do you want to know?" I frown at him. "Because I'm confused if you like Elena." "I don't like her." "So, you like Andrea?" "Yeah.." He suddenly sits up. "Then dude, why are you playing with Elena?!" His tone was now angry. "I'm not playing with her!" I snap back. "Yes you are! You won't let anyone else come near her. What's your problem?" "Ah fuck! I can't sleep! Can you guys just fight tomorrow morning?" Stephen yells from his corner where I thought he had gone to sleep an hour ago. "Just a minute, bro. Theodore's POV Looking at the eastern skies, I stand quietly, overcome by a kind of tranquil sereneness. Atop the hills, facing the eastern skies, a pale gold light emerges first. Slowly the orange and yellow bright ball begins to appear. It rises higher and higher, very slowly, leading to a party of colors. The whole sight feels like the spell of a new hope. Beneath the hills and a couple of meters away from us, looking fresh yet foggy under the morning skies, lies a vast low lying pasture where a herd of elks are scattering in all directions, along with the spreading light. As the colours in the sky becomes more and more vibrant, I find myself in a soothing state of mind, excited to start the day. The sound of the birds chirping and the gentle breeze coming off the hills gives me goosebumps all over my body. One thing I realise, this camp has given me the opportunity to see and appreciate how wonderful nature is. "Hey!" I turn around to see Eric smiling at me. "You look overw

1 month later Adonis's POV "Before announcing the names of the four who got selected into the team this year, I want to say a huge thanks to all nine of you who participated in the tryouts," Our Coach Mr Nelson says with a big smile on his face. "Your dedication, hard work, and passion for the game have been truly inspiring. I honestly wish to take all of you in the team but since there is a limit for the number of players, we can only select the best four. That doesn't mean your effort and determination have gone unnoticed. Remember that this is just one moment in your basketball journey, and there will be many more opportunities ahead. Keep working hard, stay focused, and continue to improve your skills. Your time will come." I feel anxious as I see Theo nod to the coach whilst biting his lips, standing in the middle of the row of nine boys who came for tryouts. He looks really nervous. I know he will cry if he doesn't get selected. The whole last month, he practised really hard.

"Look, Little one, basketball isn't something you master in a week. I've been playing for years and sometimes even I fail to score a basket. You're just being over-ambitious right now," he says in a scolding tone, making me pout. "Gosh, Theo! Now don't look at me like that! I feel like kissing you!" he says and comes towards me, making my heart pound faster. I thought he'd kiss me. But he only cups my face with his both hands and stares into my eyes. "Listen, you'll get better with practice. Be proud that you're already this good with just one week's practice." I nod to him and lean in kissing his beautiful lips. They slowly spread into a gentle smile against mine. "Did you already forget your Dad's ground rule?" H

Adonis's POV My jaw almost drops open as Theo opens the door to his gaming room. "Damn!" Adrien mutters behind me. I can't even get any words to utter. I was seriously stunned seeing the huge luxury gaming room and the way it was set up. The room was a splash of blue and purple with RGB lights on the walls around installed game shelves. The ceiling looked like it was made up of clouds. There were two gaming PCs and in front of them were the perfect gaming chairs. Among other accessories was a comfy leather couch laid against the walls opposite the computers and near it was a mini fridge just an arm's reach away. This was really a gamer's dream room. "C'mon. What do you guys wanna play?" Theo asks stepping into the room and going to one of the computers. I and Adrien follow him behind in a daze. "This is seriously sick!" Adrien mutters, looking around the room with widened eyes as Theo boots the computer. Adrien was at first reluctant to come to Theo's house. But now it s
