The first semester of college...
I looked in the mirror and found myself staring at the more mature and grown-up version of myself. Or at least, that's what I think I am. Of course, Macie would disagree and call me immature at times, but we both knew that I was ten times more mature between me and my brother Jake.
Macie would always scold me for talking shit about Jake. She thinks I still hold a grudge against him for stealing my girl last year.
Jane...
To be honest, I was pissed and hurt, but I fully got over it after a while. Because I, Aaron Morris, am not the type to whine and cry over a girl. I was far better than that. I decided to move on with my life. There is plenty of fish in the sea, right?
Besides, it wasn't like I had a hard time finding a girlfriend. I wasn't a bad looking guy. In fact, many girls found my tousled brown hair, bright green eyes, and muscular physique quite attractive. Some say I am charming, which is why it wasn't hard for me to replace Jane. Macie practically fell on my lap, and she is crazy about me. At least, that's what I think.
"Dude, are you done checking yourself out yet? We get it. You are soooo good-looking!" Jake yelled from the room next to me.
"Fuck you, Jake!" I yelled. I love my brother, but he was all in my business and that could get old at times.
I heard Jane giggle from his room. Those two were practically joined by the hips. Even I couldn't help but think they were good together. Sometimes I got jealous, but mostly I thought it was cute.
As far as Macie goes, she was gorgeous and we've been dating for three months now, but I still wasn't sure if I was in love with her not. I guess only time can tell.
I came out of the bathroom and gave Jake a dirty look, then headed outside. I didn't want to be late on my first day.
"Aaron!"
I halted as I heard the dreaded voice of my annoying neighbor. The bane of my existence.
I cringed and rummaged inside my pocket and frantically searched for my keys. I needed to get the fuck out of here before she catches up to me. I finally got the key out and proceeded to open the door, but someone pulled on my sleeve.
I turned around to look at the smiling face of my red-headed nightmare.
Bella Davis...
"What?" I barked.
The smile on her face disappeared. "You don't have to be so mean this early in the morning," she pouted and looked at me with those big blue eyes.
I felt a little bad for being harsh, but at the same time, I've dealt with enough of her bullshit.
"Sorry. What can I do for you, Bella? I need to go soon," I said.
"I was wondering if I can ride with you? I have a class today too," she said, smiling again. It didn't take much for her to recover, huh.
Oh fuck...I forgot she enrolled at the same college as me. Most likely to stalk me some more. She is like a parasite I couldn't get rid of.
"No way! I don't want you near me. I have a girlfriend now, Bella. You need to stop clinging to me every chance you get and back off," I said irritably.
"But Aaron..." she started to say.
"No buts. I'm out of here," I said and shut the door.
She knocked on my window.
"What now?" I said and opened it.
"I made you some lunch," she took out a lunch box and put it on my lap.
"I don't want this," I said.
"But it's your favorite! I woke up extra early to make this for you. So just take it, please? Or I'll keep bothering you about it," she grinned.
"Jeez...fine. Just this once," I said irritably and took the box, then proceeded to close the window.
"Oh okay, I'll see you in college then!" Bella chirped.
"NO!" I cried and drove away. I hope she is not going to be a pain this semester.
Oh Bella, take a hint.
I arrived just before the class started. I was slightly irritated that I had to see Bella first thing in the morning but decided to get over it. I'll just have to forget about her and try not to think about her for the rest of the day. It's not that I hate her or anything, far from it.It all st
I glared at the girl in front of me, who nonchalantly decided to throw herself at me. What kind of weirdo is she?"What the hell are you talking about?" I barked."I say...me and you, the handsome bad boy, should get it on. Right now!" she said enthusiastically.
I smiled as I saw Macie approaching. Things have been going pretty well with her and me after the whole ex-boyfriend drama ended. We haven't heard from him since."You never bring lunch from home," Macie commented when she saw the lunch box Bella gave me this morning.I sighed and decided to tell her the truth. "It's my annoying neighbor Bella. She practically shoved it in my hands this morning. I tried to refuse, but she was r
"Hey, you!" I called out and strode toward her.She saw me and started to walk away. But I caught up to her quickly. I grabbed her wrist before she could get away."Wha...what?" she asked nervously."Why were you staring at me?" I asked gru
I was stunned and didn't push her off immediately as she kissed me. This girl...she has done it again. But this time, I won't be taking care of her drunkass.I pried her off of me. "What the fuck do you think you are doing, Bella?" I barked.Jane stepped in all of a sudden. "I got her,"she
"And then, she told me I should get blue streaks in my hair," Macie continued."Mhhmm..." I said distractedly."Aaron! You aren't even listening to me," Macie pouted."I'm sorry. I was thinking about something else," I said.
I guess my harsh treatment got through to her. She stopped bothering me. I didn't see her every morning, running to my car with food in her hands. Nor did she hang around me on campus and stared at me longingly. I finally got rid of her.I saw her walking to her class a few times. She looked away when our eyes met and kept walking."I guess she finally got the hint, huh?" Macie said. We were sitting in the cafe after class.
Author's note: Hey, guys. As you can see, this story is written mostly in Aaron's POV. However, it's important to know Bella's perspective, so I will sneak her POV once in a while. There won't be too many, only when it's necessary.Bella's POV.When I first saw Aaron Morris, I was in shock. It was like seeing a ghost. It was
"Shit, you are drenched. Let's get you out of this dress," I said."You just want me to get naked, so you can take advantage of me," Bella giggled."I'm just trying to look out for you. Get your mind out of the gutter," I chuckled and flicked her forehead. She yelped and rubbed her forehead.
Bella's POVI inhaled the sweet smell of his cologne as he held me against his body. I couldn't look him in the eyes and tell him I didn't love him and didn't want to be with him. It was impossible, and it would've been a lie.I almost yelled at him again but stopped as Jake and Jane walked in.
"Don't talk to her again," Bella ordered as we stopped in front of my car."Who? Sally?" I said."Sally or Bridget or whatever her name is. Just stay away from her," she said."Why, are you jealous?" I smirked.
I smirked as Bella kept stealing glances at me during the rehearsal dinner. I purposely sat apart from her, but on her opposite side.Things turned slightly sour once my dad and stepmom arrived. I could feel the air of hostility between Bella and him this time. Funny how I never noticed it before.I approached him after dinner. "Hey dad, there's something we need to discuss. About Bella," I said.
Bella's POV"UUGGHH!" I screamed in frustration."Um...okay...I won't pick Lilies as my wedding flowers if it's that much of a problem to you," Jane commented."No...it's not you. I am just...so frustrated! Ugh!" I exclaimed.
"Leave me alone!" Bella tried to avoid my question and get out of bed, but I pushed her back down. She is not going anywhere without giving me some answers."Not before you tell me what's going on? You almost killed me, for fuck's sake!" I exclaimed."I wasn't going to let you die," she said as she struggled underneath me.
Bella's POVI couldn't talk to Bridget. She saw me approaching and ran away.I met Bridget at the hospital. We became best friends in a short amount of time, but then she was released earlier. We kept in touch afterward for a little while, but then she suddenly stopped talking to me. I see her in my area now, but she didn't even bother to contact me? I felt suspicious.
"Whoa...this cabin is freaking awesome!" Jake exclaimed."Except for that," one of his college buddy Shawn pointed at the moose head that hung on the wall, staring at us accusingly."I think it's kind of cool. The owner must've been a hunter," I shrugged.
"I don't know what to say. There must be some mistake. I didn't put that picture there. Why would I!" I exclaimed. My boss watched my face intently. I bet I looked like I was on the verge of tears. This was my job. Sure it was only a desk job at the moment, but it had the potential to become more."You've been a reliable employee since day one, which is why I'm having a hard time believing you could do something so childish lik
