I smiled as I saw Macie approaching. Things have been going pretty well with her and me after the whole ex-boyfriend drama ended. We haven't heard from him since.
"You never bring lunch from home," Macie commented when she saw the lunch box Bella gave me this morning.
I sighed and decided to tell her the truth. "It's my annoying neighbor Bella. She practically shoved it in my hands this morning. I tried to refuse, but she was relentless."
"That pretty redhead? What does she want from you?" Macie looked at me, suspiciously.
"Me, she wants me," I said.
Macie giggled. "You have such a big head, Aaron," she poked me on the chest.
"I am not kidding! She had been harassing me. Back in high school and now. I can't seem to get rid of her. And as my girlfriend, you should be more jealous and worried," I said irritably.
Macie wrapped her arms around my neck. "I am worried," she said. Yeah, right, she probably thinks it's funny.
"So are you going to eat that?" she asked and pointed at the box.
"I don't know...what if she put a date rape drug in it?" I asked.
"We are at college, weirdo. How would she possibly take advantage of you here? But if you don't want it maybe I could eat it? I am starving," Macie declared.
I opened the box. It had some chicken parmesan and pasta. There was a tiny heart-shaped cookie on the side. How the hell does she know this was my favorite? Her stalking skills are on point.
"No, it's okay, I'll eat it," I said.
Macie shook her head. "I gotta get to class. Don't be so hard on the girl. She was nice enough to make you food," she placed a soft kiss on my lips and left.
Easy for her to say. She wasn't the one being annoyed.
I took a few bites of the chicken. It was delicious. I'll have to admit even though she is crazy, she sure knows how to cook. I finished the whole thing in less than 5 minutes, including the cookie. She would make a heart-shaped cookie on the side. I chuckled to myself.
"Did you like it?"
I was startled to hear a girl's voice behind me.
Bella stood there, smiling. Her big blue eyes were sparkling under the sun. I have to admit, the girl doesn't lack in the beauty department. If only she weren't insane.
"It was good. Thank you," I said politely. Now please go away, I thought.
"Uh...um...so are you and Macie really serious?" she asked.
Now is my chance to try and set things straight again. I walked closer to her. "Yes. I love Macie. We've been together for a few months now," I said and bored my gaze into her eyes.
"Oh," she said.
"So you shouldn't try to get in the way," I said.
"I am not," she said dismissively.
"What do you mean you are not? You wrote me that twelve-page love letter the other day and made me food. And you are constantly staring at me if we happen to be in the same area. How do you think she will feel about it?" I accused.
"I...I wasn't doing all that to annoy her. I am just trying to tell you how I feel. I just want to..." she stopped talking.
I sighed. "Whatever, I gotta go to the bookstore," I turned around to leave.
"I'll come too," she said.
"No, you won't!" I exclaimed.
"I need to buy supplies," she said quickly.
Well shit. I started to walk faster, so she has a hard time catching up to me. I finally got rid of her when it was time for her to go to her class. Thankfully, she doesn't have the same classes as me.
I plopped down on my bed and started to get sleepy as soon as my head touched the pillow. I had a long day, and Bella wasn't helping the case. I felt her presence everywhere I went. At first, I didn't see her as she was doing a great job at hiding in the shadows.
I felt a pair of eyes watching me at some point while I sat outside on the field. After looking around everywhere, I spotted her red hair in the distance. She was sitting behind a tree, literally creeping on me. What the hell.
"Hey, you!" I called out and strode toward her.She saw me and started to walk away. But I caught up to her quickly. I grabbed her wrist before she could get away."Wha...what?" she asked nervously."Why were you staring at me?" I asked gru
I was stunned and didn't push her off immediately as she kissed me. This girl...she has done it again. But this time, I won't be taking care of her drunkass.I pried her off of me. "What the fuck do you think you are doing, Bella?" I barked.Jane stepped in all of a sudden. "I got her,"she
"And then, she told me I should get blue streaks in my hair," Macie continued."Mhhmm..." I said distractedly."Aaron! You aren't even listening to me," Macie pouted."I'm sorry. I was thinking about something else," I said.
I guess my harsh treatment got through to her. She stopped bothering me. I didn't see her every morning, running to my car with food in her hands. Nor did she hang around me on campus and stared at me longingly. I finally got rid of her.I saw her walking to her class a few times. She looked away when our eyes met and kept walking."I guess she finally got the hint, huh?" Macie said. We were sitting in the cafe after class.
Author's note: Hey, guys. As you can see, this story is written mostly in Aaron's POV. However, it's important to know Bella's perspective, so I will sneak her POV once in a while. There won't be too many, only when it's necessary.Bella's POV.When I first saw Aaron Morris, I was in shock. It was like seeing a ghost. It was
"I'm not sulking," I declared."You are definitely sulking," Macie said. "guys?" she turned to Jake and Jane."He is sulking," they said at the same time.
I went back to my car with a heavy heart. She said no. Bella Davis was actually rejecting me! The same girl who had been crazy about me. Who shoved all those love letters in my hands. Did my words affect her this much?I should just forget about her. This was a blessing. She was gone.No...
I dragged her inside an empty room and slammed the door shut."Aaron! What...""Why are you doing this?" I demanded to know."Doing what?" she asked. Her eyes were big with surprise.
"Shit, you are drenched. Let's get you out of this dress," I said."You just want me to get naked, so you can take advantage of me," Bella giggled."I'm just trying to look out for you. Get your mind out of the gutter," I chuckled and flicked her forehead. She yelped and rubbed her forehead.
Bella's POVI inhaled the sweet smell of his cologne as he held me against his body. I couldn't look him in the eyes and tell him I didn't love him and didn't want to be with him. It was impossible, and it would've been a lie.I almost yelled at him again but stopped as Jake and Jane walked in.
"Don't talk to her again," Bella ordered as we stopped in front of my car."Who? Sally?" I said."Sally or Bridget or whatever her name is. Just stay away from her," she said."Why, are you jealous?" I smirked.
I smirked as Bella kept stealing glances at me during the rehearsal dinner. I purposely sat apart from her, but on her opposite side.Things turned slightly sour once my dad and stepmom arrived. I could feel the air of hostility between Bella and him this time. Funny how I never noticed it before.I approached him after dinner. "Hey dad, there's something we need to discuss. About Bella," I said.
Bella's POV"UUGGHH!" I screamed in frustration."Um...okay...I won't pick Lilies as my wedding flowers if it's that much of a problem to you," Jane commented."No...it's not you. I am just...so frustrated! Ugh!" I exclaimed.
"Leave me alone!" Bella tried to avoid my question and get out of bed, but I pushed her back down. She is not going anywhere without giving me some answers."Not before you tell me what's going on? You almost killed me, for fuck's sake!" I exclaimed."I wasn't going to let you die," she said as she struggled underneath me.
Bella's POVI couldn't talk to Bridget. She saw me approaching and ran away.I met Bridget at the hospital. We became best friends in a short amount of time, but then she was released earlier. We kept in touch afterward for a little while, but then she suddenly stopped talking to me. I see her in my area now, but she didn't even bother to contact me? I felt suspicious.
"Whoa...this cabin is freaking awesome!" Jake exclaimed."Except for that," one of his college buddy Shawn pointed at the moose head that hung on the wall, staring at us accusingly."I think it's kind of cool. The owner must've been a hunter," I shrugged.
"I don't know what to say. There must be some mistake. I didn't put that picture there. Why would I!" I exclaimed. My boss watched my face intently. I bet I looked like I was on the verge of tears. This was my job. Sure it was only a desk job at the moment, but it had the potential to become more."You've been a reliable employee since day one, which is why I'm having a hard time believing you could do something so childish lik
