Simula

As I got off the plane, I inhale the scent of the air here in the Philippines after 7 long years of being nowhere to be found.

I escape reality... I had no connections with my friends except Alondra, Sebastian, and Light, and to my fellow brothers, Kuya Veron and Von. Same as my cousins. 

When I was living in the United States of America, they often visit me almost every week during weekends if they don't need to attend their work, even during their day off too.

After 7 long years with nowhere to be found, I got no news from my closest friends, Avianna, Veronica, Dark, and to the others. As I left the country 7 years ago, I told Kuya Veron, Von, Alondra, Sebastian, and Light to keep my identity lowkey privately. That they shouldn't tell anyone the main reasons why I left the country.

I held Aurora Constanciandra's left hands while walking in the middle of the airport. Light also held Aurora's right hands. We look like a happy family, but I know that Light really likes the other girl.

Aurora is my 7 years old beautiful daughter. I didn't mind the media that's asking me if Aurora's my daughter and if Light the father of my daughter is.

When I was in America, I didn't deny that I have a daughter. So, I'm not surprised when all of the interviewers were asking about it. I feel that Aurora held my hand tightly. Light look at her too, maybe she did the same thing to her Uncle.

I stopped walking to be able to carry her, she immediately buried her face in my neck. I heard Light's chuckle beside me, he held my waist for support.

He also didn't mind the media approaching us. There are many bodyguards are protecting us until we reach our black limousine car where it owns my parents.. they're still currently in New York for Company Businesses. The day after tomorrow, they will also be here in the Philippines to visit my brothers, my friends, me and my daughter.

Mom and Dad said that they will throw a small party exclusive only for my friends, I didn't mind though. My friends didn't know that I came back here to the country today.. they also didn't know that I already have a daughter.

We rode on our way in our house, still Kuya Veron, I, and Von's house. I look up with our color cream and black house, it's still the same as before, it looks new painted. We entered the black big gate and stop in front of the big door with a green roof and dirty white tiles.

I reach for Aurora's left hand as got off the car and on my right hand is my luggage. I open wide the big doors... I saw Kuya Veron, Von,  Sebastian, and the Castels with a smile on their faces.

I felt Lights' presence behind me. Aurora runs quickly towards Kuya Veron and Von, she also hugged her Uncles.

"Dada!" She ran approaching Light. She spread her arms looking up to Light, she then wrapped her arms around Light's nape in conjunction with wrapping her small legs around Light's waist. In all of her Uncles, she likes Light a lot. She's even calling Light 'Dada'.

Light whispered something to her causing her to giggle, crowd, the silence.

"I'm hungry, what's our lunch?" I said looking at them. They all look at me with a frowning face, "Don't tell me you all still don't know how to cook?"

"I can cook... but they said that you should cook our lunch and dinner. They all miss your Filipino cuisine." Sebastian said and cross his arms in his chest.

I just shook my head and look at Grant, "I'll cook, bathe Aurora." I smirk at him, and he rolled his eyes and carry Aurora towards my room. Sebastian also put my luggage in my room while my brothers together with Light and I proceed to the kitchen. Ang mga pinsan ko naman ay naiwan sa living room, naglalaro ng kung ano-anong pang-batang laro na mukhang laruan ng anak ng iba sa kanila.

"What do you want me to cook?" I said while looking at the raw dishes in the refrigerator, "Adobo, sinigang, bicol express?"

"We'll go for spicy bicol express."

I nod and ready the ingredients for the bicol express they want. I remove my pumps and leather jacket leaving only my black tube and wear a yellow apron. I cooked barefoot, nice.

After I cook, I call Sebastian, Grant, and Aurora who's just chilling inside my room. I said I would wash up before going down. I take a quick bath and just wear shorts and a sando before going down. We started eating since I have a bikini runway next week, I started eating lightly.

The day ends well, I let Aurora sleep beside me. Since she has her sleeping and morning attitude, she's crying when she doesn't see me beside her when she woke up.

I sat beside her, I saw her sleeping peacefully. I lost my eyes on her when my cell phone rang.

"Hello?" I answered without looking at the caller.

[Hello, Mave, anak?"]

"Hey, Mom, what's up? How are you and Dad?"

[We're fine here, anak. You? How's Aurora there?"]

"We're fine, as well as Aurora. Why did you call in the middle of the night, Mom?"

[I see. Anak, since your Daddy has a problem with our Company here in New York, we can't go home yet there. Continue the party tomorrow night that I told you. And, there's one more thing..."] She sighed heavily.

"What, Mom?"

[Since we agreed the auction to be held on Friday night, you need to be there.. represent our family. You can go with Light or Sebastian since your brothers are also busy taking care of our company there. No buts, anak. I already talk to your secretary to clear your schedule on Friday. Goodnight, anak. Send my greetings to Aurora.]

She then ended the call! I didn't have the chance to talk, what the hell... Like she already knew that I'm going to say no.

After I do my skin care, I lie down beside Aurora and the drowsiness pulled me back.

I woke up when I feel someone's poking me cheeks and someone flick my forehead. I slowly open my eyes and I saw Aurora and Light's figure.

"Wake up, Kisha!" Light's voice thundered the whole room. Makasigaw naman 'to, mas malakas pa sa alram ko!

I also know that Light is after a girl, his sister's best friend. But they split apart, I think. But Light and I we're just friends for good. I was with him when we were growing up, and he's also there when Aurora's growing up. I owe him a lot because he was with us for 7 years straight in America. He handled their company there but he left for the Philippines one week before we went home.

"Good morning, Mommy! Let's have breakfast, Tito Grant cooked our breakfast!" I sleepily laugh because of her Filipino words. She doesn't know how to speak Tagalog well but she can understand.

Light and Aurora waited for me in my room while I just finished taking a bath. Light is tickling Aurora while I walk inside my walk-in closet and choose a fitted maong shorts and a black spaghetti strap. As I finished blow drying my hair, all three of us went down to the kitchen where I saw Kuya Veron, Von, Sebastian, and the Castels.

After we finish eating our breakfast, Tyron talks to the manager of the restaurant where we are going to rent their cater.

"Hey, Kuya Veron, I think you should contact the boys and invite them to the party later. They should know that I came back," I said while we are watching the boys he hired for fixing the tables and chairs that we are going to use later.

"Are you sure about that, Markisha?" His eyes were compulsive, I rolled my eyes.

"Do I look like I'm joking?" I look at my phone to check what time is it. It's already 2:15 in the afternoon, and Aurora and I should sleep this time. "Aurora and I will just take a dip, I still have jetlag." He just nodded and proceeds to the girl who's talking to some men, doing the small stage with black and blue designs on it. I wait for Aurora to sleep first before me.

While looking at Aurora, I can see someone else's features. The eyes and lips that I owned before, the eyes that are craving to see me every time and everyday... the lips that I wanted to taste the most. Before my tears flowed, I close my eyes and fell asleep.

I woke up when someone's shaking my left arm causing me to fell my back on the bed. Based on its perfume, I already know who it is.

"What the.. hell, Light?" I said almost a whisper

"What the hell too, Baby Kish? It's already 6:50 in the evening and your party will start at 8 o'clock. At alam kong maliligo ka pa, mag-aayos ka pa, mamimili ka pa ng damit, magme-make up ka pa. What the hell talaga 'yon, 'no?"

I just rolled my eyes and put a sign him to leave my room. I take a cold shower and blow-dried my hair inside the bathroom.

I sat on the chair in front of my big mirror to put my make upon. I do light makeup and a put my nude nuance lipstick, I curled the ends of my hair to make it look wavy.

I remove my robe leaving only my black lace bra and black undies on. I walk towards my walk in closet and get the new dress I bought when I was living in America. I wore a navy blue velvet maxi dress and black suede leather pumps. I wear complete accessories.. a necklace, earrings, ring, and a bracelet.

The dress I'm wearing reveals my tattoos including on my left upper chest a typewritten font it says, 'there's no love that ends well'

All in all, I have 2 tattoos, the one with on my left upper chest. A cursive on my middle finger 'aurora'. 

After I finished fixing myself, I wake Aurora up. We only have 20 minutes left, as she finished taking a bath, I let her choose her own dress and I choose her shoes. I saw Light on the door walking towards us. I'm still finishing her hair, I also curled her hair so we can match.

"Wow, mother like daughter like father." He said. I look at his dark blue polo and a black slack partnered with black shiny shoes. And Aurora wears a shiny glittery dark blue dress above her knees, Aurora is also tall like me at the age of 7 years old.

"Anong father? Baka pasuin kita ng hawak ko?" I said while glaring at him holding my curler.

"Joke lang, hindi ka talaga marunong tumanggap ng joke pero ikaw mismo napaka-pangit mong mag-bitaw ng jokes."

"Ganon talaga kapag maganda." I said and smile.

"Tulad n'yan, napaka-pangit na joke na 'yang sinabi mo." I glared at him and he just burst into a laugh. "Bilisan mo, nandyan na ang lahat. They still have no idea why is there a party though." Light waited for us until I finished fixing Aurora.

"Hey... Light, how do I look?" I asked nervously as he stands behind me and glanced at me while I'm looking at the big mirror.

"You look dangerous, well... I don't know what to say but... you look dashing," he smiled sweetly... and so do I.

"I'll take that as a compliment." I walk towards Aurora, she's putting a lipstick, "Not too dark, baby," she nodded and held my left hand, and on her right hand is Light's. We walk down the grand staircase.
