Chapter 21 Alex's Reappearance

On the day of the charity gala, Damien donned a suit that mirrored my style, a deep blue one, with a pocket square folded into the shape of a rose in the breast pocket.

He wore a red tie with green stripes inside the suit, adorned with an olive-shaped golden brooch on the left lapel of the jacket, and a pair of golden square cufflinks on the sleeves.

I, too, wore an olive-shaped silver bracelet on my wrist and a feather brooch on my collar.

I didn't wear a necklace because Damien thought none of them could complement my beauty that night.

Stephen told him that there would be many precious and luxurious jewels as auction items at the charity gala tonight, and perhaps he could find one that he would be satisfied with.

"Allison, I'm sorry. I didn't prepare well enough," Damien said, lightly kissing my neck.

Stephen drove a custom-made silver Rolls-Royce to pick up Damien and me, with handcrafted patterns on its exterior.

When Stephen drove it to the gala and we stepped out of the c
