Chapter 2

  I pant heavily running into the busy restaurant where I worked, we were actually on break which gave me the opportunity to go home before, I had to deliver the money to the two pest in my life else I won't eat anything tonight. 

  "You came back late". My friend Selena said as I snicked to the counter. 

  "Yes, I know all thanks to my crazy parent". I said trying to catch my breath. 

  "You are lucky Mr Johnson has not come here". She said again. 

  "How are you even coping in that house? ". She suddenly asked after moment of silence. 

  "Well, you and I know it has not been easy, I believe I will scale through and I am smart enough by doing two works at a time ". I said smiling. 

  "You call that smartness, if you would ask me, I will tell you gladly that you are the dumbest person on earth, you work in the morning and at night and you give everything to your so-called parent  who doesn't even care about you ". Selena said looking pissed. 

  "I am not dumb okay, I am the smartest ". I defended. 

  "Smart indeed" . She said.

  I was about to reply but stopped to listen to what the woman shouting outside was saying. 

  There was a beggar standing in front of her and I am sure that is where her problem is coming from. 

  "Don't go". I heard Selena say but it was too late cause I was already outside standing in front of the woman. 

  "Get out of my sight  you swine". The woman said kicking the beggar on his stomach and that angered me the more, she can't help him and  she is adding to his problem. 

  "Good day ma'am ". I greeted the woman politely and she stopped kicking the man for a second. 

  "Thank goodness you are a worker here, take this thing away from here". The woman said with a disgusted look. 

  "You shouldn't kick him that way, he is not a thing, he is a human like you". I said helping the man up. 

  "Please, give me food, am hungry". The man said weakly. 

  I quickly ran back  to the counter and dished out food for him which he ate hungrily.

  "Am going to make sure that you are fired". The woman said and walked away angrily.

   RAINBOW HART

  "it is evening ". I said getting up from the bed lazily. 

  I quickly went to freshen up in the bathroom, I  sat on the bed thinking of what to wear, after pleasing myself, I stood up and went to the wardrobe, I brought out a white crop top and a blue bum short, I took a red trainers and I was good to go, I looked around the room to be sure everything was complete, I walked out after picking my phone and car keys. 

  Climbing down the stairs, I saw my crippled father sitting on his wheelchair as usual,he had a newspaper in his hands,my mum is obviously in the kitchen preparing food for a lazy man,all he does is eating, watching TV programmes and reading newspaper, he is a real disgrace to someone like me.

  "Where are you going?". He asked looking at me through his eye glass,the only good thing about him is that he is handsome but his handsomeness is useless.

  "Why do you care to know where I am going?.". I asked rolling my eyes.

  "Listen to me young lady,I am your father and you ought to respect me as one". He said taking off his glasses.

  "Respect my foot, you should learn to always leave me alone else I will call you names you will not like". I said.

  "Rainbow, how dare you speak to your father like that,he is your father no matter what whether he is on a wheelchair or not,you should respect and adore him". Mom said coming out of the kitchen.

   "Ohhh,what a boring sermon, I wish I could sit and listen to more but,girl gotta go,I have some more important things to take care of". I said 

  "If not for the fact that I trust your mother,I would have said she brought in a bastard,but I know she can't do such." He said.

  "You should be glad you have someone like me in your miserable lineage,take care of yourself darlings". I said blowing kisses at them.

  "I need to call the girls". I said bringing out my phone.

"Why are you late now,don't you dare say its revenge". Ivy said immediately they  got into Rainbows car.

  "My crippled man delayed me with his stupid sermon". I said igniting the engine

  "Who is with the GPS?". Rainbow asked,Becca quickly stretched out her phone to her .

  "You all should cover up your face, I wouldn't want to be seen by people". Rainbow said as they drove to a warehouse, not an ordinary warehouse but a secret underground warehouse.

  They all put on there caps which covered the whole of their face just a little holes in there eyes,nose and mouth.

  They alighted from the car and went to the booth to take out there ammunition.

  Together, the three of them entered into the warehouse with there guns and other equipment, three men were seated playing cards  when they entered the first room,Rainbow nodded
