Chapter 27 - Blade

Flora covered her face with her hands and started to sob into them. Given, this wasn't the first time I had saw her cry but I still had no clue how to approach with the situation.

Inhaling a deep breath, I hesitantly grabbed the lass by her arms and pulled her toward me; pressing her head to my chest. This would be the first time in my 115 years of existence that I've ever embraced a person--a female for the matter when they're expressing sadness.

I've never dealt with such situations to avoid exrteme vulnerability within me. That's the last thing a person like me would want. But my chain of thoughts were broken when a sharp shiver ran through Flora's body.
