Chapter 35 - Blade

Flora's response made me freeze. "What's the matter?" she asked after a few moments of complete silence. I shook my head, trying to dust off the topic.

"Are you okay though?" I asked, concerned about her.

"Yes..." she gave a small reply.

I exhaled briefly and looked at her again. "Well then, have a good night. I'll get out of your hair" I said and waited a moment before turning around to leave. I don't know why, but I was still expecting her to maybe stop me from exiting her room.

Just as I was about to unlock the door, I saw Flora approaching me through my peripheral vision. I quickly turned to look at her.

"I'm sorry for constantly bothering you. And I'm not upset with you anymore. My apologies for behaving out of line but I do believe you now..." The lass let out everything she was holding back.

A small smile dared to make its way on my lips but I managed to keep a straight face. "Well, it's fine now. I'm glad to know that you're not upset with me anymore" I said.
