Chapter 26. Stop loss in time

When Wen Li returned to the apartment, she saw Zhou Ying waiting for her. After asking, she found out that Yu Jingchen was worried about her, so he called a designated driver for her, and then notified Zhou Ying and told her about the incident with Meng Jinnian.

Zhou Ying was filled with righteous indignation. "Meng Jinnian is such a jerk. When you were dating him before, you were wholeheartedly with him, but he actually did such a thing."

Wen Li didn't say anything. She was so tired that she asked Zhou Ying to come in and then she went to the bathroom to run the bath water.

She needed a nice soak.

Zhou Ying saw that she was not in high spirits, so she didn't say anything more. After the bath water was ready, she went to call Wen Li and saw her changing clothes.

The fair skin was covered with purple and red marks, which looked even more shocking when set against the black bra.

"Was this done by that bastard Meng Jinnian?"

Zhou Ying was so angry that she looked around, trying to find something handy to teach Meng Jinnian a lesson.

Wen Li hurriedly stopped him and shook his head tiredly, "It's not him."

"That was..." Zhou Ying opened her mouth in disbelief, "Huo Yuanchen did it? You...just did that...at Huo's house?"

Wen Li nodded.

Zhou Ying hissed.

She really couldn't imagine that Professor Huo, who was usually well-mannered in school and serious in front of students, could be so cruel in bed.

She felt a little sympathy for Wen Li.

After Wen Li went into the bathroom to take a bath, Zhou Ying asked through the glass door, "What's going on between you and Huo Yuanchen?"

Wen Li leaned his head against the bathtub, feeling his whole body being wrapped in hot water, and then he let out a long sigh.

When her voice reached Zhou Ying's ears through the glass door, it seemed particularly unreal.

"I don't know either."

Zhou Ying felt that in all the years she had known Wen Li, she had never seen Wen Li as tired as he was today. Even his voice was filled with confusion.

She knocked on the bathroom door and said in a serious tone, "Then you better think about it. If you really want to date Huo Yuanchen, you will probably be hurt by him. He is at most obsessed with your body now, but An Ran's place in his heart cannot be replaced by anyone. Even if you end up marrying him, with your personality, would you mind if he has another woman in his heart?"

Wen Li's voice came out after a while.

"I won't have any feelings for him. There's only a deal between him and me."

Tomorrow is Monday, Zhou Ying still has to go back to prepare for class, so she didn't stay at Wen Li's house for long. She was afraid that Wen Li wouldn't eat well, so she ordered a takeaway and put it on the coffee table, and gave him a few more instructions before leaving.

Wen Li was drowsy after soaking in the hot water. He heard the door open and thought it was Zhou Ying leaving. He didn't think much about it and continued to lie there in a daze.

Until the whole person was pulled out of the water, his brain was still blank.

"Wen Li!"

She looked at the person in front of her with a dazed look, not sure if she had been soaking in the water for too long and was hallucinating, "Huo Yuanchen?"

Huo Yuanchen frowned and looked at her for a long time. After making sure that she had no intention of self-harm, he let go of her hand.

Wen Li's legs were weak, and he couldn't stand up at all. He screamed and fell into the water. Because he was not prepared, he choked on the water several times.

She regained consciousness, but felt uncomfortable, and her eyes were red from coughing.

"Huo Yuanchen, you are a psychopath!"

She was so angry that she waved her hands around and splashed water everywhere, which inevitably wet his shirt.

Huo Yuanchen's face became even uglier.

Wen Li looked up and saw the teasing and coldness in his eyes. She knew that he was not flirting with her at all, but was making fun of her like a clown.

She pursed her lips and replied unyieldingly, "Same here, yours isn't small either."

Of course, I'm not talking about his pectoral muscles.

Huo Yuanchen smiled, "That sounds like a compliment to me."

Wen Li couldn't stand him and turned away without looking at him.

Huo Yuanchen squatted down, lifted her hair, and straightened it out bit by bit. Wen Li's hair was fluffy and smooth, and he was a little more patient with her than usual.

"Did Meng Jinnian bully you today?" he asked casually.

Wen Li was surprised that he would ask about this. He would know that she was not surprised at all, but it seemed different that he took the initiative to ask her.

After waiting for a while, she said, "What Meng Jinnian wanted to do to me today is what you did to me not long ago, right? The difference is that you succeeded, and he didn't."

Huo Yuanchen smiled faintly and said, "I was able to succeed because of your cooperation."

Wen Li gritted his teeth, "When you say that, it sounds like I'm deliberately taking advantage of you."

Huo Yuanchen raised his eyebrows, "Isn't it?"

Wen Li was speechless. She was indeed the one who took the initiative between them, and she couldn't refute it.

But she has one good thing. Once she can't win an argument, she will cut her losses in time and change the subject.

Wen Li turned her head, smiling with a hint of truth and falsehood, and put her wet hands on the man's neck, full of seduction, "Professor Huo, you came to see me at this time, because you are worried about me? I am very touched."

"Go out! I'm going to put on my bathrobe." She pushed Huo Yuanchen away.

The latter said indifferently , "What difference does it make whether I go out now or not?"

She has been seen naked by him so many times, why is she being so pretentious?

Wen Li responded tenderly, "That's true."

She stood up from the bathtub with confidence, and when she walked out, she deliberately brought out a lot of water, most of which spilled on Huo Yuanchen's pants.

"I'm sorry," she apologized, without any sincerity, "I was careless."

After she put on her bathrobe, Huo Yuanchen pulled her into his arms. He didn't intend to do anything to her, but the place where he placed his hands was not very appropriate or proper.

"Can I understand from your words that you don't want me to leave?" He asked Wen Li in a hoarse voice, with a half-smile.

Wen Li was shocked and wanted to refuse. She really didn't have the energy to deal with him today.

Huo Yuanchen had already put his chin on her shoulder, and his tone was unusually gentle, "My interest in you is not something that comes out of the blue. I don't want to mess with you tonight."

Wen Li just breathed a sigh of relief when he heard him say, "But I can't leave. I'll just hold you and endure it for one night."

Wen Li secretly rejoiced.

However, she soon realized that when Huo Yuanchen said "make do with it for one night", he really meant just one night.

The next morning, he changed his mind.
