Chapter 25. A Great Prairie

Knowing that Wen Li and Huo Yuanchen had slept together was one thing, but witnessing their tryst was another. Especially since today was Huo Yuanchen's father's birthday, the two of them were having an affair under the eyes of so many people.

Meng Jinnian felt like there was a vast grassland above his head.

Rage devoured his reason. He fiercely pulled Wen Li over and angrily asked her, "What were you doing just now?"

Wen Li's waist was sore, her legs were weak, and her body was in pain. Huo Yuanchen was a bastard, he was so rude, leaving several marks on her body, all blue and purple.

She didn't have the energy to argue with Meng Jinnian. Hearing this, she just glanced at him lazily and said slowly, "Didn't you see everything?"

As soon as he spoke, his voice was terribly hoarse, which showed how hard he had shouted.

She didn't have a good impression of Huo Yuanchen, but in order to piss off Meng Jinnian, she didn't mind dragging Huo Yuanchen into the water.

If Meng Jinnian went to cause trouble for Huo Yuanchen, she would be happy to see it happen. Anyway, she would clear herself of the blame for sowing discord and happily watch the two scumbags fight each other.

Wen Li naturally didn't want to do that, and she struggled desperately. Her movements were so violent that she tore open the collar of her skirt, and the kiss marks on her chest were clearly visible.

This scene further irritated Meng Jinnian. He cursed softly and reached out to push the door of Huo Yuanchen's room.

He wanted to have sex with Wen Li on Huo Yuanchen's bed, deliberately trying to annoy Huo Yuanchen.

Yu Jingchen came to look for Huo Yuanchen. Meng Jinnian paused, then turned to look at Yu Jingchen, his face not looking too good, and said, "Don't meddle in other people's business."

Meng Jinnian's face changed. He had just met Huo Yuanchen. If Lin Ruoyuan asked, Huo Yuanchen might really show him the way.

With Lin Ruoyuan's temper, this might really get out of hand.

When he thought about it this way, his emotions calmed down a little and he felt extremely regretful.

He had always been gentle and refined in front of Wen Li, and today he was so excited that he treated her like this. Thinking about it now, he couldn't bear to let her go.

Yu Jingchen recognized him then, "Do I need help calling the police?"

Wen Li was quite moved. Meng Jinnian was such a jerk that she wanted to stab him to death.

But on second thought, this matter would eventually come to nothing, and the Meng family was rich and powerful. Even if she sued, at most Meng Jinnian would be detained for a few days, which would not cause him any substantial harm, but would instead anger the Meng family.

She still has parents and has to continue living in Hai City. It is not wise to offend the Meng family.

"Forget it." Wen Li shook his head. "Can you call a designated driver for me? I can't drive in my current condition."

Her clothes were torn and she was in no mood to attend the Huo family's banquet. She sent a message to Michelle Yim to apologize, saying that she had something urgent to do and left first.

Michelle Yim didn't reply, probably because she was busy.

It would take ten minutes for the designated driver to arrive, so Wen Li stood outside to wait. Unexpectedly, Huo Yuanchen and An Wen were standing across the street.

The little girl buried her head in Huo Yuanchen's chest, her hands tightly around his waist, her shoulders twitching as if she was crying.

Huo Yuanchen was slightly surprised when he saw Wen Li, but he quickly looked away, lowered his head, and comforted An Wen in a soft voice.

Wen Li heard him say, "I promise you."

An Wen stopped sobbing, looked up at him, and asked doubtfully, "Really?"

Huo Yuanchen nodded.

An Wen raised her little fist and gently hit the man's chest twice, then burst into laughter.

Wen Li thought that Huo Yuanchen must have promised something important, which was why he finally coaxed the little girl into submission. As for what he promised, she had no idea.

He was indeed very good to An Wen. At least there were not many women who could be so patiently coaxed by him. At least she was not so charming.

The two sisters of the An family can take advantage of him, which shows that they are both very capable.

Wen Li even thought with a sense of mischief that if her elder sister came back one day and caught her younger sister and Huo Yuanchen being affectionate with each other, there would be something interesting to watch.

The designated driver came over quickly, and Wen Li didn't think any more and got into the car and left.

After the banquet, Yu Jingchen went to Haishi University with Huo Yuanchen. On the way, he mentioned, "Meng Jinnian almost raped Wen Li at your house today. We should have less contact with people like him in the future."

Huo Yuanchen glanced at him sideways and said nonchalantly, "He and Wen Li almost got married, so it's not surprising that he has this impulse."

Yu Jingchen was dumbfounded , "You mean, Wen Li is Meng Jinnian's, his..."

Huo Yuanchen said for him, "Ex-girlfriend."

Yu Jingchen was even more surprised.

If he remembered correctly, wasn't the heroine in the photo that Huo Yuanchen posted on his Moments last time the ex-girlfriend of Meng Jinnian?
