*Meadow*

He dropped down to his knees and shifted effortlessly, I found myself caught by the beauty of his transformation. He was much larger than the other werewolves and Cara said it was the alpha bloodline running through his veins. There was a sense of royalty and elegance in the way he moved and each part of his grey fur shined.

And there he stood at the edge of the bed and he huffed a few times, his paw scratching his maw. I slowly crawled the sheets towards him and reached to scratch him with a smile. I knew this was a trick to present himself less scary to me and I appreciated the gesture. He licked my hand and I took a deep breath. "It's ok Caleb, let him out," I said and he gave a step back and lowered his head.

I held quiet and still, then I saw as he slightly flinched and his body's posture changed. He now stood up straight and his eyes were defiant, as he looked around and finally howled out. I covered my ears, the sound was loud enough to leave me deaf. He then focused

*Caleb*I finally could breath, relieved that she was no longer afraid of me... all of me. The last couple of days I could just enjoy relaxing and letting my wolf enjoy some time with her, and at last, my wolf stopped holding a grudge against me. Damn it is hard to live with your beast. This particular day we were having some time alone in the woods, and I was going to talk to her about the things that still troubled her. The night before she asked me for answers, and I begged her for time to put my thoughts in order. I couldn't postpone it any longer, and I had been avoiding discussing the subject with her for far too long. I needed to reward Cara for having a talk with her.I sighed and took a deep breath, I was too rusty for those things, I had let myself go on other subjects and just assumed things would get in her system without explaining. Stupid of me, but I was planning to fix that. After I made sure everything was in order, I took her with me to the forest towards the stre

*Meadow*We sat there in silence, and even though we were calm and enjoying the moment, I could sense there was something that had been troubling him for a while. I was not sure how long I would be holding quiet about it before I asked him what was wrong, but then he cleared his throat and brought my attention to him."Meadow... I have been failing you on something that should have been of great importance... and that is, communication. I owe you some explanations and answers I guess... so please ask away, I really want to take a chance now and mend this for you," He surprised me and I was caught a little off guard for a while. He waited for me patiently until I gathered my thoughts and looked at him. "I guess, I had been learning a little from here and there..." I started, a little nervous, then he shook his head."It should have been from me. I should have been the one explaining things to you, but I had forgotten over time how to deal with this. I didn't have anyone human I care

*Meadow*He released a breath I never noticed he was holding; he laid on the blanket and looked up to the sky. "Sometimes I feel like I am not worth it. Like any moment you will tell me you had enough and you are tired of trying... I struggle thinking I might be pushing you too much or not giving you enough space. I guess, deep down inside, I am still more human than I want to admit," He closed his eyes and I felt a different connection growing between us, one that it was likely to pull us closer."I am glad you feel like that..." I said as he opened his eyes to look at me with some fear. "Because I feel the same... I am afraid of not being worth it, of making you bored or tired of waiting for me. I fear I am pushing you, or not giving you enough of what you want, all at the same time. I am human, so knowing you have similar fears only makes me understand 'us' better," I sighed and he smiled, his fingers caressing my back gently. He smiled at me and kissed my arm. *Caleb*She moaned as I licked her neck and I felt her quiver; the sensations ran through my skin as well. No one ever prepared me for what it would be like. I growled lowly and contained myself from taking her as she grinded against me and we kissed passionately. She felt like she was on drugs; all the different enhancements that came with the marking were rushing within her; making her ready to explode. I had to be careful with her, I never expected she would awake all the bondings together and so quickly. She nibbled my lower lip and I lost control briefly, sinking my teeth into her lips and making her whimper. "I am sorry," I whisper to her but she already moved on to my neck."I am not," She replied and I closed my eyes, letting her explore anything and everything she wanted. I growled louder as I felt her kissing my chest and removing my shirt in the process; she grasped her teeth on my skin and I felt myself on the edge. "I think I have found my new addiction..." she said alm

*Meadow*I quivered, a wet tongue brushed me. 'Stay... still...' he ordered me and I swallowed hard, remaining motionless while I felt his firm rough tongue tease me more. My breathing running wild as I shuddered and felt my lust build up, just like my need. I could only hold a bit longer as my own desire became clouded with his. 'Take me...' I begged him and he growled in lust.'Open your eyes... look at me...' He said again and I gasped as soon as I did. He was there, on top of me, eyes full of love and lust.He took me to the limits and beyond, I cried as I felt him open that door to his feelings and emotions again, I could see the lust in his eyes. I sank my fingers into his skin and screamed as he thrusted deep and hard, I felt as if I was about to break in half, then he licked gently my mark and once again I abandoned myself to him; I felt him merge with me as he kept going again and again, deep and long strokes that drove me to the edge. And then, with one last deep thrust,

*Caleb*I was watching her sleep while I carried her back to the house. It was the middle of the night and she was completely drained, yet she shivered when I brushed my lips against her forehead. I was proud of how she handled everything, my wolf laid relaxed with his eyes closed for the first time after who knows how long, the whole experience has taken us by surprise.I saw Cara approaching. She walked right up to our house entry and she smiled looking at Meadow. "So you finally mated... I am happy for you, Alpha."I smiled at her and nodded. "She was brave, so incredibly brave. Thank you so much for explaining things to her when I lacked the guts to do it myself.""It was my duty to our future Luna, and my pleasure as well. She is your perfect match," She said with a smile."You did well, Cara, and I won't forget it. You can start making the preparations for our ceremony after you talk to her tomorrow." I replied before dismissing her and with a nod she left us alone. As I la

*Caleb*"How do you feel?" I asked her and she opened her eyes, revealing a calmer state."Better... thank you..." She whispered and tried to get up but I didn't let her. I lifted her in my arms, still wrapped in the towel, and took her to bed, where we both laid one next to the other. "How... how do you manage to control it?" She asked while I chuckled, pulling her closer, her face inches away from mine."I was born with it… unfair, I know. It takes a long time and a lot of willpower. You will learn slowly, and I will be right here with you during the process. I am so proud of you, so... so proud... thank you for trusting me," I whispered to her as I caressed her back gently. She smiled and closed her eyes."So... what happens now? When and how do I shift into a wolf like you?" I chuckled as she said it with a giggle."Will that terrify you?" I replied. She opened her eyes and shook her head."No, it wouldn't, I just want to understand how it will happen," She admitted."You ha

*Meadow*I was so excited: it had been a week since we mated and completed the cycle and I had finally learned to turn down or off the voices and thoughts of the pack members on my own, without Caleb's help. And this particular night, the pack was holding an official ceremonial for me, and I was kind of nervous, but Cara assured me it would only be words and celebration, so I didn't have to worry.Caleb and I had been talking about our next steps, we were planning to go back to the city the day after, and pay a visit to my mother… a week late, but that didn't bother me anymore… I knew she would be there for me always, and I will have her in my heart forever. I made him promise we would go see her often though, and he made a vow to take me to her once a month.Three more weeks, I was keeping a count. Just twenty one more days and I could attempt my first shift. I could already feel her waking up, like a ghost inside me that was looking closely, watching everything I do. She was quiet

*Meadow*The sun casts a warm golden glow, as if trying to heal the scarred landscape left by the war. Fields, once lush and green, lie ravaged, but sprouts of new life fight their way through the wreckage. The earth seems to be slowly stitching itself back together, just as we are.I sit anxiously as I wait for Sol to walk down the flowered aisle. She chose this place as the setting for her wedding, and when I asked her why, she said she wanted to honor those people who fell during our battle."Look at that," Xavier says, pointing to a small group of deer grazing in the distance. "Life always finds a way.""Indeed," I reply, my voice catching in my throat. The sight is both beautiful and heartbreaking. It's hard not to think of those who never got to see this moment of renewal.Right after the battle, we spent our days rebuilding the world around us, not only the physical structures, but also the hearts and minds of those left behind. It's a slow and arduous process, but with each bri

*Solveigh*My consciousness returns slowly, as if emerging from the depths of a murky abyss. The voices around me are hushed and indistinct, like echoes in a fog. I strain to understand them, but they remain elusive.‘Sol,’ Seth's voice resonates within my mind, warm and reassuring. ‘You're going to be okay. You need more rest before your body can fully recover.’I want to respond, to tell him how tired I am, but my limbs are heavy and unresponsive. My eyelids feel weighed down, as if encased in stone. It's frustrating, this inability to move or communicate.‘Mom... Dad…’ I try to call for them in my thoughts, hoping Seth will relay my message.Footsteps approach, and I sense their familiar presence even before I hear dad's deep, calming voice. "Seth, how is she?""Her body is still too weak to talk or open her eyes or move yet," Seth explains gently. "But she can hear us."My heart swells with gratitude. They came, just as I knew they would. *Caliope*I watch Amral crumple to the ground, his eyes rolling back as he loses consciousness. Panic surges through me like a tidal wave, drowning out all other emotions. The dark creatures circle him, preparing to tear him apart, and something inside me snaps."Amral!" I scream, my voice cracking under the weight of my fear and desperation. He can't die; not now, not like this. My love for him, my need to protect him, fuels my anger and pain. I have more to fight for than ever before."Get away from him!" I roar, focusing all my dark powers into a singular force. Shadows stretch out from my fingertips, wrapping around the monstrous beings that threaten his life. I tug at the darkness, sending the creatures flying away from his motionless body."Please, you can't leave me," I whisper, tears streaming down my face. Desperation echoes through my voice, and I feel it deep within my soul. "You can't die."The creatures recover quickly, turning their attention towards me. But I'm not afrai

*Solveigh’s*I step through the black hole portal, and my breath catches in my throat. The darkness enveloping me is thick, almost tangible, and I feel like I'm choking on it. Panic rises within me as I sense the presence of the creatures, born from the shadows and chaos that surround us."Sol," Seth's voice rings out, startling me. He's right beside me, his strong hand gripping mine. He steadies myself emotionally. My panic begins to subside a little, replaced by a sense of calm that only Seth can provide. "We'll get through this," he whispers, his eyes filled with determination."Where are they? Amrafel, Caliope," I call out, searching for our companions. Within seconds, they materialize before us, their powerful auras cutting through the darkness. Amrafel's eyes are like twin flames, lighting up his face, while Caliope's gaze is as sharp as obsidian."Ready to fight these dark creatures?" Amrafel asks, his voice low and steady. Caliope nods, her face set in grim resolve. I feel conf

*Solveigh*I feel like I am in a new state of existence, and every inch of my body is running with electricity; something else has replaced my blood, and the adrenaline is addictive. Seth’s hand presses on my back and I know the reason why I haven't fainted is that of him.A large creature falls close to me and I jump, but quickly regain my focus, not wanting to be distracted, but the smell that comes from its corpse is making me nauseous. I shiver slightly but lock my eyes on my brother Ian, and then I feel ready to try more.It is not the first time; I have done this before, transferring my abilities, affecting them in a way that helped them, enhancing them. I know I can do this, and so, I feel myself reach to Xavier and he shudders slightly, then his voice booms, and it starts to affect the lesser creatures that screech in what now has become a battlefield.I can’t erase the smile on my face; we are making things happen, they are stepping away, so many of them are on the floor alrea

*Xavier*‘They are here,’ are Ian’s words. Words that reach me just as I finish kissing my mates.I rush outside and I see Ian in the middle of the large field, he is looking up to the sky and my eyes follow his. A black pool of nothingness is starting to grow, and I see the elementals panicking as they whisper things in different languages and I know my brother feels them more than me.This angers me; it is not like we weren’t expecting them. Sure, we didn’t know specifically when they were going to attack again, but we had been preparing for them.I focus on the fire elementals and I let my command voice do its job. “Gather up! Get ready! Distraction is needed very fast! Chop chop!”Uncle Aen is quickly joining them, keeping his calm as he looks at me and nods, he knows the time has come. I turn to look at my mates and I feel caught up in the same panic; my mates need to be safe.“Don’t you stand there, you need to get over there and help take them down,” Dana pulls me out from the s

*Meadow*I rush into the cabin, and I find a small gathering in the living room. I don’t understand why everyone is here and not inside helping my Sol. Caleb quickly reaches me and we both walk straight towards her bedroom door.Until Xavier stops us.“Son?” I ask, confused and angry at the same time. “What is happening?”“Mother, wait… Sol is actually ok, she was taken to Caliope’s father to help.”His words feel almost like a foreign language to me. “I can’t feel her mind, what do you mean with all this?”I look at Caly and she actually looks back at me with a face filled with confusion and fear. It is Lucifer who speaks for her. “I have been many eons in my own prison, so I know what he is doing. He has felt a connection to Sol, so he has used her to send a message to us. He can’t hold it for long, so she should be back very soon.”Her words make some sense, and I understand why Caly is a bit shaken by this. *Solveigh*I walk through a path of tall and untamed grass. Wild dandelions fly as I walk by them, and the sun shines at its peak, yet its heat is soothing, not overwhelming. The wind blows on my face, and there is pure peace embracing me.Am I dreaming? No, this is not a dream, it is so real. I feel the grass at the tip of my fingers and I sense the texture of them. I see a cabin, a very old one, and a scarecrow that is standing in the middle of the empty land. I frown as I notice that there are no crows nor any animals around us.Everything seems so eery and quiet. Too quiet. As the seconds pass and I keep walking, I get worried, something is about to happen or is happening. I am not sure what it is, even though I keep looking all around me, but something doesn’t fit. Is like I am inside a painting, a living painting. It is when I open my mouth to talk, that I realize that I have no voice as well, and now, I know this must be a nightmare.‘Seth, can you feel me?’ I try to reach for

*Caleb*I watch as Aen handles the elementals calmly. It is not an easy task, yet his experience in battle allows to use his command voice with every one of them. It is something out of an epic story, and yet we find ourselves helpless while we wait.Ebony and Ivory are having a small talk with Sol, the angels like her a lot, which ensures her protection. Is not like she would need so much of it, she is her own worst enemy. But to know they are fond of my daughter just makes me happy.“Where are your thoughts?” Amra asks me as I keep staring at my daughter and the angels.“My thoughts are a bit drifting, I don’t like the idea of coming to a war unprepared,” I admit to him. I know he is also worried, although he shows himself much more calm and collected.“I understand that, and it does bring me worries. I like to be in control of the situation, but nothing that is happening is under our control… in fact, I think the only thing under our control is the lack of actions.”I sigh and shak
