Chapter 6

I wiped at the corners of my reddened eyes and said in a hoarse voice, "You killed your father and framed me for the murder, all for money! You're a beast!"

Jason struggled. "I'm innocent! I did nothing wrong!"

I watched as he was taken away in the police car. As the car disappeared into the horizon, I could barely keep the smile away from my face anymore.

It didn't matter that Jason insisted that he was innocent. The police would only look at evidence, and everything had been caught on camera.

Jason had slithered into Saul's bedroom at dawn that day and switched out the pills that Saul regularly took every day. He was going to use me to kill his own father.

Also, to make sure that his plan didn't go awry, he even went ahead and swapped out the oxygen tank by Saul's bed for a hydrogen tank for good measure.

With that, Saul would undoubtedly be as dead as a doornail by the time he came back. And since Saul was killed when Jason was not around, Jason was able to create an alibi for
