Alanna immediately understood what Jeff meant. Yvette would be the one taking sole responsibility for the incident.

She nodded once again. "Thank you."

Jeff flashed her a smile. "Well, it's good that you're doing fine. Sleep early."

He left after a few minutes.

Alanna thought it'd be another sleepless night for her. Surprisingly enough, she ended up falling asleep the moment her head hit the pillow.

The next morning, Winston called her on the phone.

"Alanna, the ministry has come up with a solution for your incident. The perpetrator will be dismissed from his position permanently, and he won't be hired by any other governmental departments. We'll also publish it in the newspapers.

"However, we could only claim that the perpetrator was fired because of his bad conduct. I hope you can understand this."

Alanna giggled. "I get it, Mr. Jyles."

Winston continued, "Also, Mr. Archdale has pulled a few strings. That perpetrator won't be able to remain in Brunstein City in the future."
