Alanna didn't answer Hades' question. She just yanked her wrist out of his grip.

"Take the meds. I've already unblocked your number. Call me if anything happens."

But Hades grabbed her wrist once again. Before he could say anything, he could hear his phone ringing.

He pulled it out to see a phone call from a number labeled "Melanie's nurse" on the caller ID.

Both of them froze simultaneously.

Alanna was the first one to break the silence by laughing sarcastically. She freed her wrist from Hades' grip once again before heading toward the door.

Hades killed the call instantly and rushed over to pull Alanna back.

"Answer me!"

Alanna didn't say a word. Hades' phone began ringing again at that moment.

She glanced at the phone. "You should answer the call."

Hades was silent momentarily. "It's fine. No matter what, I'll make sure to give you a satisfactory outcome by dealing with tonight's incident properly."

Alanna didn't say anything afterward. She never placed her hopes in Hades
