Hades shot Chelsey a look. "You may leave, Dr. Soltz."

A glint appeared in Yves' eyes. He looked at Hades before turning to look at Alanna. Then, he led Chelsey away hurriedly.

"Why are you dragging me away? What about Ally?"

Yves didn't bother looking back. "Alanna and Hades might need to discuss this incident."

Chelsey asked, "Does Hades believe Ally, though?"

"Yes, he does. If not, he wouldn't have summoned you two out of the ward. He'd just get you two arrested on the spot."

Chelsey fell silent afterward. "At least that bastard has a speck of conscience left in him."

Yves was speechless, to say the least. "Hold on, is that how you'd describe Hades?"

Chelsey snapped back, "Sometimes, I think he's even worse than a mutt for treating Ally like that."

Yves opted to not say anything afterward.

Hades' eyes glinted. "Ally, I won't suspect you, but Chelsey will still be classified as a suspect."
