Chapter 5

Ahana's Pov

After we reached back home, we finished the remaining cleaning of the house. It was already evening.

Ayaan went to do something about electricity as he promised. So I and Kaira went to a nearby grocery store to buy some groceries for my further use. Grandma and Grandpa had already put the money in my account so there was no problem about the money though I need to start the job soon after my graduation.

"So," Kaira said as she nudged her shoulder with me as we were picking up groceries. I looked at her as she had a sly smile on her face.

"What?" I asked raising my eyebrows.

"I saw you with him today" she said her voice sounding with excitement.

"Who?" I asked confused then realization dawn up on me, apart from my best friends I only saw Ranbir.

"Ranbir" she said in a duh tone.

"Yeah, so?" I asked not getting what is she getting into.

"So, do you still have a crush on him?" She asked as I looked at her horrified.

"What the hell made you think that I have a crush on that thing" I said with wide eyes. She glared at me playfully.

"Come on its just me, you can tell me, I know you since Lower KG" she said and winked at me.

"That doesn't mean I have a crush on Ranbir, Kaira" I said pointing out at her.

"And if you are forgetting we were enemies, we are enemies and we will be enemies" I said in a final tone making her twist her lips.

"I don't think so, because at the diner when you both were having a staring completion, it was looking as if two lovers are meeting after century" she said and I thought about it. Then I remembered, we were almost staring at each other for minutes. Damn that was embarrassing, everyone must have been looking at us. I mentally face palmed. My cheeks immediately burned.

"Oh, you are blushing, so it's true then you have a crush on him, and don't try to deny he looks hot" she said and stared at me.

I was about to object but then thought about him again. He had grown quite a personality. And puberty had hit him properly at every right places. His masculine voice when he called my name, was the most I liked. Then there was again when he was teasing me even after meeting after so many years.

His eyes...his eyes were showing happiness when he recognized who I was. It was as if he have seen his favourite celebrity in front of him. He looked hot...I can give it to him that, but the only problem is his cockiness.

And then there were his lips. They were...

"Earth to Bitch" I heard my best friend's voice as she shook my shoulders furiously.

"Dreaming about Ranbir?" She asked wiggling her eyebrows. I rolled my eyes and looked away from her making her not see the blush that was on my cheeks because she found out I was dreaming about him.

Damn it Ahana take a hold on yourself, you have just met him once. And don't forget you're his enemy.

"No, I was planning ways to make you shut your mouth up" I replied to her answer as we pushed the trolley of the groceries.

Soon after we had shopped, we returned home and it has turned dark outside.

"So, you staying with me tonight?" I asked Kaira as she drove towards my home.

"I wish I would Ahana, but mom has already decided that we will be going to meet my grandparents so I can't, but tomorrow I will" she said and I nodded my head.

Living alone at my home was common to me now. But now that I'm here in India, I feel a little insecure but Ayaan has promised that the area where my home is located is safe.

I trusted him. And so, staying alone won't be any problem for me. I nodded my head at her and soon we reached home. Kaira bid bye to me and went away as I took my shopping bags and entered inside.

As I entered inside, the lights were on. Ayaan has done his job. Thank God, I don't have to sleep in this hot weather. Entering inside I see Ayaan sitting on the coach while shuffling the channels of the tv. I smiled at him as soon as he spotted me.

"Thank you so much my best friend, you saved me from mosquitoes" I said and hugged him tightly making him chuckle.

"No problem bestie, what are friends for" he said and ruffled my hairs.

"Now come on I probably should get going, I will meet you tomorrow and are you sure you will be okay alone here?" He asked once again for confirmation.

I nodded my head giving him his answer.

"Ok good then, we will though clean one of a guest room tomorrow so I can come and stay with you sometime, so that you won't feel alone" he said and I smiled brightly.

"That would be awesome" I said as I hugged him and bid bye. I cooked some food for myself for dinner and settled down in the coach watching some movies.

Once I finished my food, I walked up to my room. Me and Kaira had already arranged my cupboard and now my all clothes were kept in properly. I took out my night clothes and entered inside the bathroom.

Oh freak. We didn't clean the bathroom. I groaned as I entered inside and my eyes went wide.

I was tired so much that I could just sleep on my two feet's but I need to clean these, it is necessary.

Groaning I started cleaning my bathroom. After an hour it was all cleaned. I sprayed some room freshener inside to shoo away the foul smell.

Once I got changed inside, I took a much-needed shower due to my whole day exhaustion and then this cleaning. I felt good as I came out wearing a white boyfriends t-shirt that reached till my mid thighs and some shorts. Living in London I have adapted their culture and that also includes my clothes. I loved wearing western clothes.

I called it a night and went to the bed when a ping on my phone brought me back from my sleep.

Groaning I reached out for my phone.

There was a message from an unknown number. I knitted my eyebrows in confusion and opened the message. The next thing I read made my heart beats fasten and I stared at it, thinking it is just my illusion but even after sometime when the text didn't disappear, I came to the conclusion that this person won't leave me so easily.

The text read

"Good Night Corgi, dream of me" with a wink emoji at the end.
