Chapter 6

Ranbir's Pov

The alarm clock sound made me wake up at an oddly time of 10.00 am in the morning. What? 10:00 in the morning is really early for me to wake up.

I stretched my arms to let the tiredness go. When my eyes landed on my phone.

I picked it up to see message from Corgi. After I messaged her last night, I didn't expect her to reply me but still I waited for her message till 2:00 in the morning and eventually gave up but waking up to her message got me surprised.

Woah she is a morning person. She messaged me at 8.00.

As I opened the text the thing, I read left me laughing.

"Yeah I actually dreamt of you, I saw a 'Rhinoceros' running behind me with you on top of it, and let me tell you that was the biggest nightmare I ever had"

I continued laughing as I read the text again and again. She never fails to amaze me.

I decided to reply her later, she made me wait so long, even she has to wait for some time. I smirked and kept the phone away. I went to washroom and got freshen up.

As I came back, I decided to reply her. What? I'm not desperate but I just heard girls don't like it when guys reply them late.

"Glad to know, I rule your dreams as well as Nightmares, aren't I special?"

I sent her the text and scurried downstairs where my mother was sitting sipping her coffee along with my grandma.

I smiled as I took place with them on the dining table.

"Hello beautiful ladies" I said as I drank some water and both of them looked at me and smiled.

"About time you woke up Ranbir" my mom scolded me and I made a face. She always does that but I still wake up whenever I feel.

"Mom I'm a growing child, I need my beauty sleep" I said as I pour some orange juice for myself.

"Oh, shut up, growing doesn't involve sleeping for hours like a pig" my mom gushed and I rolled my eyes.

"Whatever, you won't understand it" I said and looked at my grandma who was all the while smiling looking at us.

"My son is right; he needs his beauty sleep" she said and pinched my cheeks making me wince in pain but I was happy at last someone was with me to take my side.

I smiled at her when my phone rang. I excused myself and went to the garden to pick up Devil's call and that is Zain.

"What's up man?" I asked once I got into the garden.

"I have something for you, maybe you want to come to the supermarket nearby" he said and I crunched my eyebrows.

"Me? Supermarket? Are you drunk?" I asked emphasizing on both the words.

"Yeah, come on we've to shop for the study materials for college" he said and I got more confused.

"I thought we brought our study materials last week?" I asked him.

"Just get the fuck here man, or else your girl will be no more yours; Aarav is planning on flirting with her" he said in a serious tone. I got even more confused. My girl? He is surely drunk. When something hit me and my eyes widened.

"Is Ahana coming to the supermarket?" I asked and I could imagine him smirking on the other side of the phone.

"Maybe you could say that" he said in a teasing tone.

"How the hell you know that?" I asked.

"Her best friend Ayaan is a friend of mine and that's how I got it and also her phone number which you thought I got it miraculously was taken by him" he said feeling proud of himself.

"He gave her number to you just like that?" I asked feeling angry on whoever best friend of hers is.

"Oh no I took it without telling him" he said in a duh tone. I rolled my eyes.

Of course.

"So, are you coming to the supermarket?" He asked.

"Why would I go there, that place is gross" I said making a face.

"Whatever man your loss, I was just informing you, if you change your mind tell me we are going there" he said and I got confused.

"Why are you going there?" I asked him.

"I don't want to but Aarav is dragging me there so he can flirt with her" Zain teased me.

"Why would you tell him..." my line was cut off when Zain cut the call before I could complete my sentence. That Bastard.

I went back and sat down on the chair having breakfast with my mom and grandma.

My mom was lecturing me on something but I wasn't paying attention. My mind was filled with all weird scenarios thinking Aarav flirting with her. Why do I even care? I asked myself and shook my head to clear my mind.

After looking at the full plate of my breakfast for another five minutes I stood up from the chair making both of them look at me weirdly.

Fuck it I'm going to the supermarket.

"Mom I need to go somewhere; I'll be back soon" I went upstairs to take my keys and ran out to my bike not before hearing my mom shout about how I didn't finish my breakfast yet and I will be punished later on. MOM.

I reached the supermarket Zain was talking about and called him.

"I was expecting it now any second" he teased me making me roll my eyes.

He is the captain of all the teasers in my group.

"Where are you?" I asked him ignoring his teasing.

"I'll meet you at the entrance" he said and cut the call.

I walked towards the entrance and looked for him. There I spotted him near the glass doors.

"So?" He asked raising his eyebrows definitely teasing me.

"What? My mom asked me to buy some fruits that's why I'm here" I said making him believe I'm not here for her. Fabulous Ranbir, then why are you here? I asked myself.

"Sure, whatever sails your boat" he says and walks inside.

"Where is Aarav?" I asked him.

"He is already in his work" he said and pointed at fruit section where Aarav was standing along with Corgi.

She was wearing some black track pants and a white plain t-shirt looking all simply but at the same time beautiful. I smiled looking at her when Zain hit me hard on my head from behind.

"You're drooling" he said and I immediately checked my mouth for the drool when I didn't get any, I glared at Zain who was laughing at me.

"Fuck off" I said as I walked towards them.

As I approached them, I could hear their conversation.

"So, you will be going to our college?" Aarav asked and she nodded with a smile. Her smile is beautiful.

"So, if we are going to be in the same college, don't you think we should be friends?" He asked as he put his hands in front for shake. I looked at them and waited for her answer.

Before she could open her mouth, the same guy who was with her at diner approached them.

"What's going on here?" He asked raising his eyebrows and looking at Aarav's hands in front of her.

"I was just asking her to be friends with me" Aarav answered sincerely.

I approached them and stood beside Aarav and that's when she noticed me. She looked shocked at first but then her shock faded converting it into a glare.

"What are you doing here?" She asked me raising her voice. I flinched.

This is not fair. She talked with Aarav politely. Why am I getting this special treatment? I asked myself and looked at her and gave her a smile.

"You see this place is called supermarket, where people come and buy things for themselves and I'm one of them who has come here to buy something" I said teasing her and making her face redder with anger.

"Whatever, let's go" she said and took hold of that guy's hand and pulled him with her. While I kept watching them.

"That's Ayaan, the friend I told you about" Zain who just came told me and I nodded my head and smirked thinking about how I will annoy the hell out of Corgi today even if it is for just some time. I won't leave this precious time in super market.

"What are you planning?" Aarav asked looking at my smirking face.

"You'll see" I said and walked towards both of them.
