I was an early riser but whenever I slept with Adriana, I woke up later than usual.

Her idea to have different rooms was good because, after only two days of officially living together, I was getting comfortable with waking up a bit later.

This time, it was the doorbell that woke me up.

Adriana shifted in my arms. “It’s so early.” She murmured. “Who’s that?”

I wondered the same.

It had not been more than a week since I moved to this house, so barely anyone knew my address. The only people who did were my assistant and Asher’s family and I doubted they’d have a reason to visit so early in the morning, especially when phones existed for a reason.

With a sigh, I gently removed my body from Adriana’s and put on a shirt while she found a pillow to cuddle with. The stuffed animal I gifted her was in her room. She wanted to bring it to mine but I forbade it, knowing damn well she’d gravitate to it instead of me.
