“Did you see the guest list?” I leaned in to whisper, still staring at the woman who decided she suddenly wanted to be part of my life.

Saint followed my line of sight. “No.” He sighed. “I’ll find Donald.”

He made a move to let go of my hand but I didn’t let him. “It’s fine. I’ll just ignore her.”

“Are you sure?”

I nodded.

The party was more of a charity auction than an anniversary, but I guessed it was a good way to get these insanely rich people to give back to society. It was a silent auction. Items were placed on random stands and people wrote down their bids so it didn’t interrupt the main event, which just consisted of eating and drinking the most expensive champagne.
