Chapter 20: I Don’t Care

Pure silence envelops the atmosphere with Samuel’s imperious baritone voice.

I watched Alice’s brows relax as her eyes widened. She wasn’t expecting to be caught while she was in the midst of showing her true colors.

Quietly, she placed her arms that were reaching out for me and backed down as if nothing happened. She looked back to where Samuel was standing.

Shortly after turning to Samuel, my jaw dropped hearing her soft and small sobs.

With my eyes peeling open, a silent sigh let out of my parted lips.

Here she is again with her acting skits to get Samuel’s sympathy and as a loving Alpha, of course Samuel would believe her!

“She’s planning on hurting me, Samuel.” Alice stepped up to him, wrapping her hands around his arm like a snake.

Pointing out her shaky hands, her shoulder trembles with the fake sobs she was making. “Look what she did to the food I bought her.”
