Chapter Seventy

Author's point of view

The next morning, immediately after she woke up, she noticed Tootie was still asleep, so she moved to the bathroom, washed up, and left.

She moved slowly to Noah's room, placed a knock, and opened the door slightly.

She saw Noah taking some pills, and she looked worried and opened his door wide, bringing his attention to her.

“Are you okay?” She asked, sounding worried.

And Noah looked at her. “Isabelle, I'm fine; you should have knocked at least.” He said, he still didn't look happy. He was dressed up like he wanted to leave for work.

“I did; I'm sorry I barged in, though; I saw you taking those pills. I thought you weren't well.” She said and he stood up from the chair and walked close to her.

“I'm fine.” His voice was low and he walked away from his room.

Isabelle's breath seized as he got close to her, and when he walked away, she breathed out and looked at the pills; she walked to the table where it was kept, took one tablet, held it tight, and walke
