Chapter Sixty-Five

Author's point of view

Rita couldn't believe her eyes. She knew Isabelle was fighting for a divorce as of the time the accident occurred, and Isabelle also complained most of the time about her husband's behavior, but what she never noticed was that she had been with Dominic all this while.

She picked up a letter, which was the last thing in the case, and opened it.

She read through the letter of how Dominic talked about treating her with so much love, the love she couldn’t get with Raphael. It felt heartwarming for Rita, who quickly arranged everything in the briefcase. She knew someone like Raphael didn't even deserve a woman like Isabelle.

She printed out and enveloped her resignation letter, which she had typed some weeks ago. After taking her things from her office, she walked to Raphael’s office. She still gave a knock and walked in.

“My resignation letter.” She flung it on his table. “Goodbye, Mr. Raphael; I hope to hear good news from this company now I'm gone,” Rita said
