Lucas’s POV (Point Of View)

Claire had slumped asleep in the car as we headed home. To be very honest, I was scared to my bottoms when I saw Claire alone with them. I had no ounce of an idea that she would be able to fight them off like that, especially turning into her true form. For days, I’ve kept thinking of how I could make or even encourage her to transform but I also feared that she didn’t know how yet and she wasn’t ready. I guess the fear mixed with her determination to fight for herself resulted in her transformation.

She’s fast asleep on my laps due to the energy an pain it takes to transform for the first time, usually werewolves transform from their early days and usually take days of recuperation for their bodies to fully adapt to the change but for Claire doing this for the first time in 18 years, I don’t know the extent to which but I know she’s going to be asleep for a while.
