Chapter 33

“Shit!" Lucas fell on the floor, burrowing his face in his palms.

“To be honest bro, that was a bit too harsh. Did you even notice her foot?" Darren said, setting a chair.

Lucas sighed, crouching his knees up.

They raised their heads to a crashing noise, “Don't just sulk here. Are you really going to let her go?” James snapped, after throwing a bottle across the room.

“He's right. She might be upset but you still have to make sure she's safe, she couldn't have gone far with her injury." Darren said.

Lucas got up and cleaned the dirt from his pants. “You're right."

I messed up big time, she had tears in her eyes. I can't believe I caused that.

They packed up the tent and put all her stuff in her bag. Lucas carried the bag and they set out back to the car.
