LIAM'S POV

Alice had to return to Russia to handle business with her Mafia. Although I wish she didn't have to go, I realize I must let her go.

I prayed that they didn't hurt her, that they didn't do anything unspeakable to her.Suddenly, I heard the sound of footsteps coming closer and closer to my cell. It was clear that she was in a bad state, and it was all my fault. If I had been more vigilant, if I had been able to protect her better, none of this would have happened.
