Alice's POV

I sat outside on the patio, enjoying the cool breeze that rustled through the trees. The sun painted the sky in hues of orange and pink as it began its descent, casting a warm glow over our home. I sighed contentedly, cherishing this moment of tranquility amid the chaos of our Mafia life.

But then, a sudden sensation washed over me, and I felt a gush of warmth. Confusion gripped me momentarily until the realization dawned upon me. My water had broken. I was going into labor.

"Melissa! Melissa!" I called out to one of my guards, trying to keep my voice steady despite the urgency I felt. "Please, get Liam! Tell him it's time!"

Melissa, ever alert and quick to respond, dashed off to fetch my husband. Panic and excitement mingled within me as I tried to collect myself. My heart pounded in my chest, and my thoughts were a whirlwind of emotions.

Within moments, I heard hurried footsteps approaching, and Liam appeared, his face etched with concern. He gathered me in his arms, his

Prologue I sat in my room staring at the ceiling. Liam has refused me from doing anything and I'm bored already. I looked at the time it was still ten in the morning. I had gone to his meeting earlier this morning to cause some drama. I mean it's not my fault that there's nothing for me to do. I smile as I remember the look of horror on those losers' faces when I threw my knife at Santino. He had it coming though so I can't say it's my fault. My laptop was still playing the movie I'd chosen earlier. N*****x wasn't even helping me at this point. I paused the movie and decided to have a shower. I walked into the bathroom and stared at myself in the mirror. My eyes no longer had the usual bags under them. I looked better than before and I was grateful for that. These past few weeks have been the most chaotic week in my life. Nothing prepared me for what I faced but I went through it anyway. Ever since the attack, Liam has been overprotective concerning my health and it's beginn

  • Salvador's Queen   Chapter One

Alice's POVI twirled the knife in my hand and kept thinking about what father just told me. I turned in my chair as I tried to think of what to do about the situation on the ground. He wanted me to get married to the American Mafia Don. As much as I would love to throw a fit with my father, I know better not to. There is little I can do, even as the Don of the Russian Mafia. My father is a psychopath and I don't want to cross him.I wish my mother was here, maybe things would have been better. Father has never wasted any opportunity to remind me of how I killed my mother. He hated the fact that she died because of me. My mother died immediately after giving birth to me and my father wished I was the one who died instead of her. In anger, I threw my knife at the painting hanging on the wall opposite me. I can't remember how many paintings Silver has changed ever since she became my guard.I told her to stop buying the paintings but she still buys them, not that I care. I took out my

Alice's POVI woke to the sound of my alarm. I blindly searched for my phone on the bed. When I found it, I turned off the alarm. I stood up from the bed and walked towards the window staring at the view. The city was busy and everyone was rushing to God knows where. Today was the day I get to meet the man my father is selling me off to. I made my way toward my bag and selected a red dress to wear with match heels. I have just an hour to get ready so I dressed up quickly and stared at myself in the mirror. The gown was a body con dress and it hugged all my curves. It stops mid-thigh and I like that it was giving. The v-neck showed my cleavage and I wore a necklace on my neck. I decided to do a very light and simple makeup because I don't like to use much makeup. I curled my hair and everything was looking good. Staring at myself one last time, I was satisfied with my look. My lips were stained with red lipstick. I know how weak my dress makes men feel and that is the one thing I w

Alice Pov"Don't touch me!" I yelled, snapping out of whatever trance I was in.He smirked at me and asked, "are you a virtuous girl? Daddy's little girl?"What in the hell is this guy's problem? "Listen to me and let's get one thing straight. I didn't get to where I am being a good girl or daddy's little girl. I fought my way to this position and if you think that because of this stupid marriage, I'll have to give you my Mafia, then you are in for a shock.""I'm not going to be your housewife or maid. You dare talk to me in a condescending manner, I won't hold back when I talk back at you. I dare you to make any indecent move on me, I'll fuck you up." I growled at him. He just looked at me with a blank face and licked his lips. He moved away from me, giving me enough space to breathe and I couldn't be more grateful because I don't want to start a war here. I kept looking at him, his expression was stoic, it is either he wasn't affected by my words or he did show it. He leaned on th

Liam's POVAlice just left our house with her father. I dislike the old man with fiber in my body. He was a dirty player and a dubious man. Weirdly, the strong and beautiful woman I met today is his daughter.I heard the news about her that she was able to bring back integrity to her father's mafia which was now hers. I didn't believe it, it's one of the reasons I decided to see her.I knew she'd be mad at me for missing breakfast but I just wanted to see how she'd react. And I was impressed with her response. She was calm, collected, and calculative. I expected her to jump at me when she saw me but I realized that she wasn't like one of those barbies that love to cling to me. "What do you think about her?" I heard my father ask. "She's fine," I replied. "Fine? Can't you see that you are about to marry one of the strongest women in this world? I'm glad that you at least like her but don't you dare gut it up." He spat out. And with that, he left.Mother came to me and ran her hands t

Alice POVIt's been three days since we landed here. Three days of running around trying to get a dress, do my pedicure and manicure, and also do a full body wax. Silver made me do all this. She insisted and I just couldn't say no. Left to me I'd have just preferred to get a jumpsuit. The marriage isn't worth it, I just wanted everything to be over already. I picked a wedding dress yesterday and as I kept staring at the cloth, I became nervous. It was happening and there was nothing I could do about it. I thought about going to my father to convince him but I knew I couldn't. It would just be a waste of time. I looked at my room which was covered with different clothes and shoes laying around. My room was a disaster but I didn't care. I looked at my fingers that were painted white and I loved them. My legs were smooth because of the waxing but my whole body felt like it was on fire. I hate waxing but since Silver insisted, saying that I need to look like a bad bitch, I didn't arg

Alice's POVWe got to the venue in twenty minutes and I felt nervous. Silver turned to look at me from the front seat. "You'll do great. Don't stress about it." She assured me before leaving the car. I saw my father waiting for me at the entrance with a scowl on his face. I hate seeing his disgusting face. Hopefully, this will be the last time I'll see him. Silver opened the door for me. She went to confirm if it was safe for me to get out. Even on a day like this, we have to be on guard. Enemies could be loitering around. I got out of the car and climbed the stairs. Father stood by the door waiting for me to come to him.I just stared at him. I didn't move, I was beginning to think about my decisions. I thought to myself if I was doing the right thing. I could just run away right now and hide somewhere till my father dies. That will be cowardice on my path. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't see father match angrily towards me. When I felt someone drag my hand pulling m

I sat in the boardroom, my back pressed against the plush chair, as boredom settled in like an unwelcome guest. The air was heavy with formality and the monotonous drone of business jargon. How I longed for something to break the monotony, a spark of excitement to ignite the dreary atmosphere. As I observed the suited executives, their faces etched with seriousness, I couldn't help but smirk to myself. They saw me as nothing more than Liam's wife, innocent and uninterested in the matters at hand. Little did they know, I had other plans for this mundane gathering. The rumors had reached my ears, whispers of Santino's involvement in shady dealings. A man so smug and self-assured, thinking he could get away with anything. Oh, how I relished the opportunity to expose his true nature, to challenge him and watch his facade crumble.Santino, sitting across the table from me, was the epitome of arrogance. His eyes glinted with a smug confidence, unaware of the storm that was about to rain dow

As we decided to extend our stay in Italy for a couple more days, a sense of relaxation and adventure filled the air. With that weight lifted off our shoulders, we were free to immerse ourselves in the enchanting atmosphere of Italy. One of the places we explored was the breathtaking city of Florence. The city's rich history and artistic treasures beckoned us, and we found ourselves strolling hand in hand through the narrow cobblestone streets. We stood in line, patiently waiting to enter the Uffizi Gallery, where masterpieces by renowned artists awaited our eager gaze.As we meandered through the gallery, each room revealing new artistic wonders, Liam's deep appreciation for art was evident. As the Mafia committee members entered the warehouse, their presence alone commanded authority. Their expressions were stern, their eyes piercing, and their voices resonated with a mixture of intimidation and determination. The Italian Don, bound and surrounded, stood before them, his defiant demeanor faltering in the face of their collective power.I watched with a mix of anticipation and apprehension as the committee began their interrogation, their questions cutting through the air like a sharpened blade. Each inquiry was calculated, designed to dismantle the Don's defenses and extract the truth. One committee member stepped forward, his voice laced with an underlying threat. "Don, your actions have endangered the delicate balance we uphold. You will find no solace in your lies. It is in your best interest to cooperate fully."The Don, visibly shaken by the committee's presence, began to realize the dire consequences of his actions. His bravado waned, and the weight of his guilt pr

My heart dashed with a blend of expectation and worry as Liam masterfully explored the roads, directing our vehicle towards the inn. We needed to regroup and get ready for what lay ahead because the evening's events had taken an unexpected turn. The familiar surroundings provided a brief respite from the earlier chaos as we entered the hotel lobby. The hotel staff quickly attended to our needs because they were aware of the urgency of our movements, as Liam's dominant presence demanded attention. We hurried to our room, the snap of our strides reverberating through the hall. The entryway opened up, uncovering the quiet sanctuary that looked for us. I looked around the room, taking in the exquisite stylistic layout and the unpretentious traces of extravagance that enhanced each corner. In the midst of the chaos all around us, the atmosphere provided a brief respite. We quickly ditched our formal wear in favor of more practical and concealed attire out of a sense of urgency. Alice's POV As the function came to a nearby and the praise bit by bit died down, Liam and I rose from our seats, prepared to leave from the energetic climate of the feast. " I would be honored if you could attend a private gathering with my family and me. There are significant issues I might want to examine with both of you."I traded a confounded look with Liam, vulnerability blurring our considerations. Given the boundaries that separate our organizations, the Don's decision to extend such an invitation was unusual. In any case, interest provoked inside me, blending with a feeling of mindfulness.Liam's hold fixed on my hand, his eyes fixed on the Italian Wear. " What kind of things are you talking about?
