LILY ENGAGEMENT PARTY 1

The Kings cooperation had a meeting on Wednesday and Jimmy was to meet some investors on Thursday morning who wanted a merger with the giant cooperation. After the board meeting the three men Lewis, Jim, and Ken left together and Ken invited them for a coffee in his office. Hi guys why don’t we take a cup of coffee in my office? They all agreed since they wanted to deliberate the board of directors meeting. For some time they discussed the meeting and a certain member who wanted to retire and was proposing to sell his shares to one of the King's sons. Lewis proposed why don’t we buy the together? But ken declined to say men I have to pass because I invested some amount of cash in my children’s future so for now, I skip. They understood that he had more commitments now and Lewis and Jimmy agreed to buy the shares between themselves.

They had coffee and some snacks that Tina had insisted for Ken carry so that he doesn’t spend the day hungry. Ken's assistant brought the coffee and warmed the snacks for them and when they sat down and ate everyone complimented especially the beef samosa that was tasting heavenly. When they were eating that’s when Jimmy remembered and mentioned he would be going to Lily’s home town he wants to engage her officially and since the parents are hosting a dinner party that would be a good time to mention his intentions and ask her parents for her hand in marriage. From then organizing the wedding party would be done without hiccups. The other two guys agreed with him but Lewis offered to accompany him. Why should you go alone to his parents and let me join you on the trip I won’t be on your way with your girlfriend but will be there when you are proposing to her. I want to give you a had men.

The only place I don’t want to join you is the bedroom he said jokingly making Jimmy blush and pated Lewis back jokingly. I appreciate the man I am going to a new environment I would love you to be there to offer me company. So they discussed the time of the flight and Ken instructed the assistant to book two first-class seats on Thursday afternoon for the two gentlemen. 

Ken went home to find Tina waiting for him so that they can have their dinner which was their daily routine eating together then going to the nursery then feeding the babies with their formula and then tucking them to sleep and they went to sleep. This had become the new routine for the new parents but they were enjoying the parenthood. Ken could not have anything in the world but the time with his family was so intimate to him that he would not have it any other way. 

Lewis and Jimmy prepared to go to the southern town and were picked up by Lewis's driver who dropped them together. They carried four of their security men not because they were anticipating war but because it was their routine to travel with some security whenever they were going anywhere. They arrived at Lily’s hometown on time and were excited especially Jimmy to find Lily waiting for them at the airport. As directed there was a consignment of two vehicles to the hotel. They were booked into the hotel penthouse which had enough rooms for all their guests. Lily had ordered a special dinner and they all went showered dinner was delivered to them as per their order and due to jet lag, most of them went to sleep early. Except for Lewis and Jimmy who were left having a drink and discussing some business matter. Lily excused herself since she was exhausted from the day’s work and went to sleep but before she left she noted, “By the way Lewis there is a dinner party at my parents’ home so why don’t you join us we would love your company.” I will be honored Lewis replied. Then she wished him goodnight and went to sleep. They discussed briefly business then wished one another goodnight and went to sleep. By the time Jimmy got into the room, Lily was sleeping but he couldn’t sleep without making love to her. He kissed her lips and she smiled in her sleepy face then there were careless and romanced and then made love like they had not seen one another in years and eventually slept. 

They were woken up by the phone ringing it was sally Lily’s mum. Morning she had not seen the caller's ID until she answered and it was her mother asking her why she was still asleep. But mama it's still early she said no her mum said there is a beautician I hired who’s coming to make us up and your dress is here but you need to fit it to see whether it’ll fit you. But mum I am doing well I have a dress to fit today. No daughter I want people to see my daughter as beautiful so please come. Jimmy who was following the conversation nodded his head for her to agree they would follow behind. Lily was forced to wake up shower and dress. She applied little makeup put on the flowered dress and then left with her mum's driver who had been sent to pick her up and missed her at her house that’s when her mum called and told her she had sent the driver where was she said she was with a friend the driver to call her she will give direction. That was not taken well by her mother who now realized that her daughter might be in another relationship but she was happy she will end it today after she was engaged to Jack’s family. Now she will be close to Nelly as a best friend and also an in-law. She had asked a famous designer to dress up her daughter and also do the make-up for this special occasion.

She directed the driver to the hotel and waited for her at the reception where she was escorted by Jimmy to the vehicle and greeted the driver. “Take good care of my girl,” Jimmy told the driver who replied yes sir, he liked this young man he looked wealthy and was well-mannered, unlike the Jack ass who she was getting engaged today. I wish my miss can be married to this gentleman, not the spoiled brat. But the driver did not want to be the bearer of bad news so he just shut up and told Lily who preferred to sit in front to tighten her seat belt. She kissed Jimmy on the lips and they forgot the driver was present but he coughed alerting them he was around Lily said sorry, brushed, and told Jimmy will see you later darling. He took her hand which he had put the promissory ring kissed it and said your hand is really beautiful my darling. She brushed saying thanks and waved goodbye.

The driver drove off to her parent's residence but she was asleep most of the trip due to the previous night's exhaustion. She was woken up by the driver when they arrived at their residence and her mother Sally was waiting for her at the gate. She woke up and complained ooh I slept all the way home you should have woken me up. But the driver insisted you looked so peaceful so I decided to let you relax. Ooh, it must be the cool soothing music you put on for me, it was so relaxing until I dozed off oh I see my mum coming let me go, and say hi. The driver goes ahead miss I will carry the bag for you. She ran and hugged her mum and they exchanged pleasantries and went inside the house where her mum informed her that her dad was waiting for her in the house. Her dad called her into his office and her mum followed after exchanging greetings Lily was told to sit down they had an issue to discuss. 

Lily looked at her parents and they both looked so serious and she wondered what could be the matter. Mum is everything okay, dad did anything happens to you that I am not aware of? Lily enquired very concernedly. No honey her dad replied everything is fine and I am very healthy but we are concerned about you. You are our only daughter and although we had an adopted daughter whom we loved like our own you are our blood. We ask you here because we are concerned about your future. We want some grandchildren but you don’t seem to be in a hurry of getting married. We would love to see you settled like your other sister Tina who’s now having two beautiful kids she sent us photos and sometimes we talk using video call and we see her kids and husband that’s what we would wish for you to settle down with a man and get a family.

Lily was happy that they brought up the subject because she would tell them about Jimmy but before she opened up and talked her father continued talking, “that’s why we have organized for your engagement today with Jack my godson with her parents after we talked with them and found it wise that you young people should be united as one because you had been friends since childhood and when his parents asked for your hand in marriage we accepted without hesitating. So today's party is all about the engagement to Jack and your wedding will follow shortly we are planning of merging our companies and marriage is the best way to remain united and will be the security of our investment. Since you are the lady Jack Jnr can run the companies while you take care of the kids like your other sister. You will be well taken care of. When her parents finished she looked at them and asked are you guys serious then the father Parker replied yes my daughter have I ever joked with you? I meant every word. Then her mother said I have bought you a beautiful designer dress you know the media will be there let's go make you look pretty. Lily knew the best way was not to argue with her parents but to play along and then call Jimmy for her rescue. She never liked Jack Jnr he was a bully, a womanizer, was proud and arrogant, and treated ladies like shit, and even when they were friends she confronted him for bullying women. He had tried to bully Tina but Lily protected her and he kept off since she had threatened on reporting him to his parents. But now she could never imagine herself befriending let alone marrying Jack he was a true Jack like his name was.
